Akane is short and slender compared to her age, standing at only 5'4 in height. Her face carries soft, gentle features, with a small upturned nose and deep-set, blue eyes.

Akane's hair is black, and kept in a pixie, with the bangs long enough to cast over her forehead.

Weapons: Large nodachi at her back.

Armor: Two clawed gauntlets, both finely crafted of a black steel. Both gauntlets are notable for having the depiction of a horned beast's snarling face; One gauntlet is actually just pure aesthetics, while the other gauntlet is the catalyst Akane uses to summon Kouga

Wears a set of loose fitting, white robes that contrasts heavily from her gauntlets, with golden floral design around the hems/collar.

Feet are dressed in a pair of geta/wood sandals.

First off, let's describe Kouga!

Kouga is a rather massive, twelve foot tall beast with red skin and razor sharp claws. Its head is permanently twisted into a malign grin due to its enormous teeth, with a pair of large horns sprouting from atop its head. It sports a long mane of white hair.

Himei: Manifest's Kouga's head to act as both a shield and a deterrent; in addition to being capable of chomping down on Akane's enemies, Kouga may scream to disorient them heavily.

Sundan: Manifest's a Kouga's claws over the area(typically her gauntlets), augmenting her slashing power.

Tewonobasu: Summons one of Kouga's arms for Akane to command; Akane may summon both arms at once if she wishes.

Backstory: Akane was born and raised among a small family of warrior-monks dedicated primarily to the service of (Placeholder). The community focused strongly on the concept of spreading mutual benevolence for the betterment of mankind, and focused heavily on honing the body and spirit to strengthen themselves against the harsh world around them.

For a majority of her life, Akane's parents pushed her to train hard and become as strong as Abbess Minako, a woman who she had later grown to both admire and adore. In time, these long years of intense training had eventually paid off when Akane had hit 18 years of Age; Minako had taken her in as one of her personal apprentices, where she could be trained to become even stronger.

Needless to say, a position of this power and importance earned her a lot of love from both her family and fellow monks. To them, she was a princess, and while her short temper and trouble understanding the monastery's actions had often earned scalding lectures from her sensei, Akane had still proved herself to be worthy of her position.

Among her training, Akane was taught how to call upon higher powers to aid her in combat; it was during this training that Minako had introduced Akane to Kouga, a large hobgoblin that the church had bound closely to a special artifact to help provide self defense to the user. Minako, the owner of the gauntlets at this time, had hoped to one day find another creature of great power to grant Akane.

Only, their training to this day was left unfinished. One day, when Akane was on her way to meet with Sensei, she'd found that her personal quarters were empty. She waited, only to find no trace or hint of her sensei. Several days later, and the search for the Abbess had proven empty -- save for one thing.

Kouga's gauntlet, tucked beneath Akane's pillow. Left confused and without a hint as to where her sensei could be, Akane took the weapon and set off to begin her pilgrimage early. Not only was she beginning her life as a warrior of peace, but also left in search of her former sensei.
