  1. This game is all about a group of Treasure Hunters, the overarching name for clans on the fringe of every alignment that devote themselves to the simple act of hunting for treasure; How they go about this is varied, as some hunters only go for old world artifacts for the purpose of putting them in museums where they belong, and some resort to outright theft and extortion in order to snatch whatever it is they please. Some treasure hunters even hunt for abstract concepts such as emotion or glory. Likewise, some are petty thieves while others work well within the confines of the law; Most of them fall in-between though, making it a very morally gray profession.
  2. While the clan employing you leans more towards the chaotic side, you are still left with a set mission of sailing to the Paleta isles to make a stop at Crosstown and make a business arrangement with another Treasure Hunting faction, which involved delivering a very important package....
  3.
  4. Iaepetus (Pronounced eeya-paytus) is a relatively large planet which is left mostly unexplored. It's said that it was created out of the blue due to a large planar rift caused by the antics of some cosmic, or even demonic, being. The fact that any civilized life formed on it is nothing short of a miracle, but overtime it developed a small pantheon of gods and lore much like any other world, warts and all.
  5.
  6. Nanoda- Nanoda is a small region with a significant amount of history; A large portion of the population is centered in Kilad City, a city that's become one of the largest economies in the world in no small part due to 3 mega factions that war for control. The one faction that rose to the top amid all this madness is Axis Bold, after coming under new management by Hendrix (lastname). The other surviving faction, the Fallen Skulls, still exists elsewhere in the vast underground criminal networks on a worldwide basis, and rumor has it that they're just waiting for a chance to strike again....
  7. The rest of Nanoda consists of grassy plains, open countrysides, a smattering of small and gloomy villages, and shores home to the beating heart of sailing and cutthroat piracy
  8.
  9. Kibarryng: A rough and dangerous land filled with mostly uncharted jungle, forests, and mountains notably the Kizana jungle. Nicknamed the Capital of Death, Kizana was once the center of Iaepetus' developing world, as a multitude of ancient dynasties once took place that are still being studied to this day. The most standout of these was the ancient Sepharim tribe, known to the modern Kizana people as the "Ancients." They spent their lives devoted to the cause of finding methods of immortality, and nearly got there with the item known as the Apostle Dagger. The dagger however, wound up becoming an incredibly dangerous item that drove whoever used it to madness, eventually losing their minds; All the Sepharim devas met their demise as the result of the item, causing the end of a dynasty. and leaving most of civilization to move elsewhere afterwards. While it's still certainly not a place you'd wanna live, there are still straggling tribes of humans and demi-humans that have made these lethal jungles their home
  10.
  11. Shazan: The single largest economy in the world by far, Shazan claims to be the melting pot of civilization, and polices over most of the world with an iron fist and even more weaponry. Has recently been under tense relationships with Nanoda, mostly thanks to Axis Bold being billed a terrorist group by Shazan's intelligence.
  12. In the center of the region lies the Les Valga Capital, a standalone private city that contains a multitude of casinos and other distractions. Its said that the capital alone holds more wealth than 90% of the rest of the world, so it's been a popular dream spot of many treasure hunters all over the planet; Nobody has managed to make a major heist yet though.
  13.
  14. Pomago- A heavily deserted continent, the major populace here are a race of snake people called the Heramayex. While there are still cities, Pomago is still heavily struck by poverty and disease, made even worse by the fact that these factors make it all the more appealing to criminal networks and fringe treasure hunters looking to operate past the reaches of authority.
  15. The capital of Pomago is called Burninglandia, a culturally rich town that's nonetheless fallen on hard times due to Pomago's economic situation, and is now a stronghold for one of the deadliest rings of assassins around.
  16.
  17. Musa- A large region and sovereign state with a history long and storied enough to even rival Kizana's. It's become one of the most rapidly growing superpowers in terms of population and economic strength, though massive amounts of inequality in terms of both technology and wealth distribution also make it a hotspot for civil warfare. It's a breeding ground for large assassin families and mafia networks, but the real breadwinner of all of these has been the Qingzhao family, to the point where people joke that all of Musa is just a oligarchy for the family's head, Chang Qingzhao.
  18.
  19. Gernard- A heavily traditionalist region, all of Gernard's regions keep a low level of technology, which is enforced by what can only be called a "clan" of extremely powerful magicians. It's said that these magicians alone have enough destructive power to end the world if they so want to, but they instead spend their time acting as incomprehensible monoliths of neutrality.
  20.
  21. Blight- A continent on Iapetus' south pole, situated in the middle of the arctic sea, it's an absolute frozen hellscape near uninhabitable by most other races besides the wildlife that were evolved specifically for this climate. The main keepers of civilization here are the Pengi, hardened avian explorers with obscene levels of defense and resilience.
  22.
  23. The Unknown Continent- The unknown continent suffers from a strange phenomenon where everything within its borders is drained of color; It's a vast empty desert that's neither hot nor cold, and all that can be seen is a single tower off in the distance. No matter how far you run though, the tower never seems to come any closer. Those who spend extended amounts of time in this region report various unnatural phenomena, with some even losing their sanity entirely.
  24.
  25.
  26. Nostal Island- a small island off the coast of Shazan, it was once populated entirely by monsters before getting bought out by a criminal syndicate that was working under the command of the former owner of Axis Bold; It was used to run a large-scale fighting tournament, but now that that's well and over, it's since become a monster-infested wasteland again.
  27.
  28. Paleta Isles- an archipelago under the control of the kingdom of Grateniss, which lies just center of its many islands. It's extremely varied in terms of ecosystem, with one island covered in stone, another completely frozen over, and one that's even situated entirely under the sea! There's a good deal of political turmoil to be had here, mostly because its ruled over by a monarchy, and the Grateniss family isn't known for their ethics.
  29. One district hit hardest by this division is Crosstown, which was once and still is a peaceful town, with the exception of it now coming under the command of the Fallen Skulls, which regularly extorts supplies and materials from the town, with little around to stop them from doing so. Sad state of affairs, really.

  32. Other notes:
  33. The technology levels here are at about 1980s our world at max, give or take a few odd things like robots and androids walking around; those are powered by a combination of technology and magic. There's some internet here and there but it's not nearly widespread enough to be useful and operates at sub-dial up connections.
  34. The levels of technology are vastly off-kilter even within regions; Even the most advanced continent, Shazan, still has entire landscapes straight out of the old west. The only region with absolutely no sign of modern luxuries to be had is Gernard, which permanently resembles somewhere between medieval europe and victorian england.
