  6.
  7. Michael Looked around the center floor of the tower. He sensed the six elements from the six different islands. He understood what he had to do but that didn't make it any easier. He started with the One with the element of Fire. Finding it was the easiest to attune to. Sitting in the center of the island he began focusing on the element of fire. His mana began flowing from him and into the lava around him. His body acclimating to the heat quickly as he didn't have a single problem attuning to the element as it was one of the two he had extensive knowledge on.
  8.
  9. The second being Water, his secondary element, and what he considered the Element of life. He sat in the waters for some time, finding it a bit harder to attune to but with time he eventually rose to sit on top of the water. When he had attuned to it he felt himself able to better channel his energy. The natural energy of the elements seeming to mix inside of his being .
  10.
  11. Moving onto Earth he sat there. Meditating as he tried to feel out for the element of Earth. His body still and his mind just wondering. He felt unstable and not grounded . Where the other elements came naturally to him this one seem to allude him. He tried grounding himself and slowly but surely he found himself working on his resolve. Trying his best to level his emotions instead of letting them control him, finding it easier as time when on. When he had attuned to the element of Earth he began noticing the odd energy the tower itself was producing.
  12.
  13. One his way to the elemental island of Air he felt uneasy as strong wind surround it. when he tried to land on the island he was repeal into the air, his able to maintain his flight failing him. He tumbled through the air above the ground as he struggled to upright himself, but the more he fought the winds blowing him around the worse things got. After a few minutes he stabilized slightly but he kept over turning and having to regain his composure. It felt kind of hopeless but he knew there had to be something to this. Maybe if. . . he just. . . gave up on trying, just go with the flow. When he tried this it seemed hectic at first but eventually he evened out and was just sitting there in the air. He had let go and given up on struggling. He sat there as he began attuning to this element. Finding the lesson here to be that struggling to reach your goal just hampers your ability to reach it. Lifting off the island he soon looked at the last two elemental island.
  14.
  15. He decided to head over to Island that governed over Darkness . He landed on it and instantly began feeling a sense of dread. The island feeding on his negativity, which there was a lot of. The images of Joseph and Shoba forming on the island as shadows. “You could of prevented this Michael, had you just stayed I probably wouldn't of died, you know that don;t you?” Shoba said as he flinched at the words. It had been the same thing he'd been thinking ever since he had heard the news. “YOU JUST STOOD THERE AND WATCHED AS HE ATE ME MICHAEL, HOW CAN YOU EVEN STAND LIVING WITH YOURSELF” Joseph yelled as the tall Human gripped his shoulders. “No. . .No I tried, I tried everything I could to stop him, he was just to strong” Michael said in his defense. The negativity seemed to continue to feast upon him as he did honestly believe he had failed them both. But in this darkness he saw some light. The only path forward was acceptance. As the berated him he stop deflecting responsibility. They were ultimately right. He had failed them, but there was nothing he could do to change that, no amount of begging or apologizing would fix what happened. But moving on and trying to prevent more deaths was the only option he had left to make sure their deaths at least meant something, even if just a reminder of what happens when he failed. He was a bit shaken but as the shadows faded he felt a bit of comfort knowing he could move on from the past, even if it still hurt him deeply.
  16.
  17. He looked over to the last island before feeling more dread. The island's element was that of Light. As he approached he felt a wave of warmth and false comfort roll over him. A voice that was sounded like his own was talking. “You are a good person, you know that, always trying to help, yes that's a good thing but. Maybe you try to help a bit to much. Don't you remember early on before the many killings. You helped a odd little slime creature. Your gut told you there was something was wrong but you ignored it. You gave him a ring. It's your handy work that's killing so many, your good intentions. But don't worry. . . it's not truly your fault right?” the voice asked. “you can always do more good to repent for the wrongs you've done, Lives to save?” it's questions piled up. The more he thought over what was being said the more he began realizing he was part of the problem. He had been doing good things with out even considering the effects they could have. Or the true natures of the people he aided. It began sowing doubt in his own actions. Was he truly helping people because he wanted to or was it just because he felt he needed to, to feel useful, to be validated in his existence. “There's so much more you can do right, the world is still not fixed, so many problems to correct right?” he felt worried, like every choice carried with it a burden of countless possible hazards. Just doing what seemed good wasn't always the right choice, sometimes you had to make tough and violent choices. Images passed by of the times he'd seen others spare the lives of thous that had caused so much wrong and carnage. He felt he finally understood what Shoba meant about having no options but to resort to violence when it's called for, even if you dislike it. The voice was silent for a while before it just said. “Good” the dread slowly eased as he felt the center floor of the tower calling out to him, eerily in the same manner he had felt the calling Shoba had provided years ago .
  18.
  19. Floating to the center floor and felt the energy coursing through the tower. The odd energy he'd been feeling since arriving to the tower. He looked around trying to figure where it was coming from before he felt compelled to sit down and meditate. Having attuned to the six elements this odd energy began entering him as he seemed to naturally absorb it now. His mind wondered before something appeared before him in his mindscape. It was an image of the planet itself. The energy seemed to be pulsing from the world. This odd energy was the energy of the planet, it's life force. It was crying out to him. It needed a new host to inhabit with the previous guardian having been killed. The need for a guardian to aid the people of the planet and defend it from the many threats. It wasn't something the guardian could do alone. They needed the aid of the people just as much as they needed the guardian. He was being called to take up that mantle.
  20.
  21. He was hesitant to take up such a task, he doubted his abilities but at the same time he knew refusing might just mean the end for humanity and the other inhabitants of earth. They needed to get out from under the heel of the tyrants that seemed to grip their daily lives. It was then that he recalled Joseph's words. <It's okay to be scared, being brave isn't about not being fearful, it's about taking a stand for what you know is right and doing it even thought you're scared>
  22.
  23. Thinking on those words he sighed as he accepted the mantel of guardian, the energy he'd been unknowingly absorbing began to resonate with the tower as well as the planet. It honestly kind of hurt as his body wasn't use to this purity of energy. It felt like his insides were being burnt away for what felt like an hour. When it stopped he snapped out from his meditation breathing heavily as the ritual of the tower had been completed. He felt an odd connection to the tower and the world below, one that hadn't been there prior .
