» | Background: ever since she was a kid, yeonhwa remembers looking up to her older sister, wanting to be like her in every single way. her sister was glad to help, of course, and they bonded over their mutual love for singing. yeonhwa became practically obsessed with music, learning to remix at a pretty young age and appreciated the piano and dance lessons that their parents let her take. their parents let them choose whatever path they wanted to choose, and were supportive as long as they were happy, so taeyeon and yeonhwa chose the musical route, which they got from their parents. though yeonhwa also focused on dancing, the both of them decided to try their hand at producing music. taeyeon only had it as a hobby, but yeonhwa spent a lot of time trying to improve her skills and even tried remixing some songs. she was always overlooked for her older sister, despite her trying her hardest, and even though she was a bit bitter about it, yeonhwa knew that there was a reason that taeyeon was noticed a lot, and tried to improve herself to become better and be noticed. when taeyeon was recruited into sm, yeonhwa was extremely happy for her. taeyeon kept trying to push yeonhwa into auditioning, despite her barely being a teenager, but yeonhwa was scared of being rejected. she knew that some people expected her to be like her sister, and she knew that she couldn't possibly reach that standard. when her sister's group debuted, yeonhwa was surprised when a company recruiter approached her, and it was the little push that she needed to audition.

      (warning: slightly cliche) they had met while he was on his way back from getting bubble tea for his group. he was too busy paying attention to his phone to realize that he was about to crash straight into an idol. her first impression of him is that he's a huge clutz (an adorable and rlly tall clutz, but a clutz that spilled strawberry boba tea on a top that her sister bought her for her birthday present and cost way too much to be ruined by bubble tea). he apologized profusely, not knowing what to do since he didn't want to just start wiping at her shirt with the tissues in his hand. when he finally realizes he could just hand the tissues to her, he's surprised to find her smiling after he bowed as an apology for the nth time. flustered and confused, he doesn't know exactly where to look as she begins to wipe at the white top that wasn't exactly the thickest fabric.
