- 60 FPS doesn't feel like 60 FPS?
- Hey y'all. I've been having a problem all the time where my roblox maxes out at 60 FPS yet it feels like it's around at 30/40. It's most noticable on Phantom Forces and as soon as I use the FPS unlocker (yeah I know, I shouldn't..) the game goes all smooth like, Literally not a lag spike, Feels smooth and nice. So why exactly is this and why can't I uncap the FPS by official means?
- My specs are i5-7600k 3,8 GHz with 16GB 2400MHz ram, GTX 1080 Ti 11gb so I doubt the game should run bad and uneven with specs like these.
- GTX 1080Ti nO gOoD eNOuGh fOR rObLOx.
- Roblox client is not pc friendy.
- I feel this too, it's weird, like, if i load something that runs at a smooth 60 like doom it FEELS like 60 and super sillkkkkkkyyy smooth but with roblox it feels "stuttery"
- after getting a 144hz monitor, seeing people call 60fps smooth is bizarre, it's so choppy to me
- just would be hard for other people to render over 60 fps
- I would say that if the game says its running at 60 fps it probably is. Ping has a impact on overall game snappiness so you may want to look and see if your ping is over around 200ms. To see your in game ping you go into setting and turn on "performance stats"
- Also a GTX 1080 ti should not have any problems running roblox at all
- I know it doesn't have a problem at all. All I'm saying is it runs smooth as butter without the cap, with the cap? Not so much.
- I tried a lot of fps unlockers and none of them worked, which one do you use?
- simply labeled rbxfpsunlocker 3.1
- Roblox is a terribly optimised game that lags on my gaming PC in some games (GTX 970 / OC i5-6600k @4.4Ghz) as well. Dont bother looking into it much further than that is my advice
- Roblox rarely hits 60 for me if i don't use an unlocker. I have resorted to using an unlocker because I am on a 75hz monitor
- some game physics rely on the client to cap FPS, unlocking the FPS can make things accelerate, one of reasons why its capped at 60.
- imo i think developers should have a option to configure the FPS cap as they please (60 minimum, 600 max?)
- If you're talking about about actual game physics, that is a false fact.
- Physics don't rely on the FPS (FPS unlockers exist)
- If ROBLOX increased the cap to 120 FPS nothing would really happen, besides breaking some games that rely on the fact that the RenderStepped tick is exactly 1/60
