Dinner Time!

[05:21] <Zero_Atma> The second they step inside the smell of freshly cooked food hits them right in the face, half a dozen aromas wafting from the kitchen, while the others were all talking Yoshihiro was busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
[05:28] <~Deedles> Taishin chuckles "Well, this is a nice change, usually I only smell something burning when I come here to eat."
[05:29] <Shen> She goes into a light daze as he enters the house. "Thats Yoshi's cooking for you, he'd bring the God of Cooking to his knees."
[05:29] <Shen> Shen*
[05:30] <Earthflame> Jian was dozing in a chair, but is roused by the cooking, following his nose...
[05:31] <~Deedles> Mingxia is sat in the lounge, sniffing the air with a happy smile. Hayato was quietly sat in a corner, a bruise forming on one of his cheeks from where Shen punched him. Reisuki was laying flat on the back and staring at the ceiling. "So... hungryyyyy."
[05:33] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi already had the table set and was bringing out dish after dish of different foods: Soup, noodles, a basket of still-steaming duplings, a slab of roased meat so tender you could cut it with cho-sticks, and freshly brewed tea to help everyone heal up a bit after all the fighting.
[05:34] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi grins as he places the roast on the table, looking over the spread with a proud sense of accomplishment. "Everyone eat up!" he insisted. "There's plenty more so eat your fill."
[05:35] <Shen> Shen drops into one of the seats, salivating like a starving badger. "My body is ready."
[05:35] <Earthflame> Jian stands up, and moves over to offer Rei a hand.
[05:36] <~Deedles> Taishin sits down beside Mingxia, a broad smile on his face. "This smells like a dream..." Reisuki accepts Jian's hand "Thanks." she says as she seats herself by the table.
[05:37] <Zero_Atma> "So..." Yoshi looks around the table before posing his next question. "Who's drinking?"
[05:37] <~Deedles> Hayato quietly moves back to his seat while Mingxia tries to decide where to start.
[05:37] <~Deedles> "I am!" Taishin raises a hand while Hayato huffs and rolls his eyes.
[05:38] <~Deedles> "I'll stick to tea." Rei says while pouring herself a cup of the stuff.
[05:38] <Earthflame> "None for me." Jian murmurs, taking his seat and fumbling a bit, to eat with one hand. "Travelling with Yoshi has rather spoilt our palettes."
[05:39] <Shen> Shen nods, beckoning with his hand. "I'll have one." he states as he starts shovelling food onto his plate, with a healthy-sized portion of dumplings.
[05:48] <Zero_Atma> Yoshihiro grins as he hears their praise, even moreso when he learns that he won't be the only one drinking tonight. "I'll be right back." he says before disappearing into the kitchen once more.
[05:50] <~Deedles> Before Taishin gets stuck in he helps Mingxia get herself a bowl of soup before he too loads his plate with various different foods, with a nicely sized pile of dumplings.
[05:50] <~Deedles> Hayato is more slow to get himself some food while Reisuki is already stuffing her mouth full with noodles.
[05:52] <Earthflame> ...Jian soon picks up the pace, both to eat his fill before the rest goes and realising how much energy he'd used over the past few days.
[05:52] <Shen> Shen looks at the doctor across the table rather guiltily before helping Hayato get some food. "I apologise for earlier." he says simply.
[05:52] <~Deedles> Hayato blinks and looks at Shen in surprise before he shakes his head "Don't apologize, I deserved it."
[05:53] <Shen> "Maybe, but you seem to be punishing yourself enough as it is." he bows his head in apology.
[05:55] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi returns holding a familiar looking container, one that was still sealed, the very same wine that Leewan had given him before they had left for Jinlong. "I thought since this was a special occasion it would be approapriate to have some special wine!"
[05:55] <~Deedles> Hayato glances towards Mingxia who looks a bit awkward before she smiles "I understand why you did it." she tells him softly, the doctor finally seeming to relax.
[05:56] <~Deedles> Taishin holds forward his glass with a smile "Fill 'er up."
[05:58] <Shen> "If we eat around the same table, then bygones are bygones." he smiled faintly before grimacing at the container, knowing what was coming. "I guess I did say one, huh?" he laughs nervously.
[06:00] <~Deedles> Hayato smiles slightly, his first smile since the battle started in his tea house "Thank you." he bows his head to Shen before he quietly bites down on a dumpling.
[06:01] <~Deedles> While Taishin is holding up his glass to Yoshi Mingxia sneaks her hand in underneath his arm to steal one of his dumpling "Hey!" the black haired man says as he looks at her "You do not steal a man's dumpling!" he scolds her in faux-anger, the blind girl giggling as she eats it.
[06:02] <Shen> Shen laughs at them. "Your dumpling retention techniques are weak."
[06:02] <Earthflame> Even Jian has to laugh, smiling at the merry meal.
[06:03] <~Deedles> As Shen laughs Mingxia yoinks one from him too, an innocent smile on her face as she bites down on it. "... And you're the future Empress?" Taishin tuts as he shakes his head.
[06:03] <Shen> Shen narrows his eyes at her. "A thief empress more like."
[06:04] <~Deedles> Mingxia laughs softly "I'm sorry." she says with a sweet smile "Can you ever forgive me?"
[06:04] <~Deedles> Reisuki is too busy stuffing her face to talk, but she did pause to laugh so she wouldn't choke.
[06:05] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi begins to go around the table as he pops open the container, filling their cups as he goes. "Drinking is a symbol of peace, happiness, commradery, and most of all trust." he states, finishing his speech just as he reaches his spot at the table, illing his own cup once he sits down. "Those who betray that trust are the worst type of scum." he concludes, referring to Tsuwan mostly, his companions would likely know who he was t
[06:07] <Zero_Atma>  talking about.
[06:07] <Shen> Shen nods deeply, raises his cup. "To a brighter future."
[06:07] <~Deedles> Mingxia smiles as she holds forward her glass "Then I should probably have some." she states
[06:08] <~Deedles> "... I'll have one glass... ONE!" Reisuki insists as she too holds forward her glass.
[06:08] <~Deedles> Hayato grumbles something about 'poison' under his breath before he reluctantly gets his glass too.
[06:09] <~Deedles> Taishin grins broadly "To a brighter future!" he echoes
[06:09] <Earthflame> "...I'll have one too."
[06:09] <Earthflame> Jian mutters.
[06:09] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi turns his attention to Ming, the container still in his hand, a broad smile on his face. "Are you sure? it's very strong." he warns, but after even Hayato and Jian hold forward their cups Yoshi lets out a hearty laugh. "That's the spirit!" he says before going around yet again to fill them up.
[06:11] <Earthflame> Jian raises his glass. "To new friends, and new hope."
[06:15] <~Deedles> "I'm sure I'll be fine." Mingxia replies before she raises her glass "To new beginnings and better days."
[06:18] <Zero_Atma> "To good health, long life, and those who make it all the sweeter." Yoshi raises his own glass along with the others as they make their won toast.
[06:18] <~Deedles> Reisuki raises her glass while nodding in agreement, saying nothing as she was midway through a dumpling.
[06:19] <Shen> Shen raises his cup again and testily drinks from it.
[06:20] <~Deedles> Hayato sips at the wine, raising an eyebrow. "Not bad..." he confesses
[06:20] <Earthflame> Jian takes his own sip
[06:20] <~Deedles> Mingxia drinks a little and grimaces, though she tries not to show it. Taishin chuckles and has some of his own wine, sighing "Ah, that's the good stuff~"
[06:21] <Shen> "Tastes just like how Leewan looks." Shen comments with a grin behind his cup.
[06:21] <Earthflame> ...Jian coughs
[06:21] <Zero_Atma> "It's my master's own brew, I've been saving it for just such an occasion....or if I run out of my own." Yoshi tells them with a grin, taking his first sip of the stuff in what seemed like an eternity, he had never missed the village as much as he had in that one moment. "Ahhh~"
[06:23] <~Deedles> "He must know his brew then, this is good." Taishin states with a smile while glancing down at Mingxia who puts on a brave face as she tries to get through her glass.
[06:26] <Zero_Atma> "He's known in our village as the Devil Chef, and the mentor of fire, I learned everything I know about wine, cooking, and fighting from him." Yoshi admits. Thats when a thought strikes him. "I wonder how Chiyoko is getting on with him..."
[06:26] <Shen> "Probably wishing she never met us. He is a truly frightening man." he shrugs, taking another sip.
[06:26] <Earthflame> "If she's there by now. I told her to wait until she was ready."
[06:27] <~Deedles> "Why doesn't that surprise me?" Reisuki comments at Shen with a grin before drinking some of her wine.
[06:27] <Shen> "We'll probably see her either way, we'll pass through Jiangan."
[06:28] <Shen> Shen grins back cooly to Rei, "You got something to say, midget?"
[06:28] <Zero_Atma> "He's not that bed, but he doesn't take any lip from anyone." Yoshi says with a chuckle. "HE actually remind me of my uncle in some ways."
[06:28] <~Deedles> "I still got that sword I'm not afraid of using, fatty." She retorts with a slight laugh
[06:29] <~Deedles> Tainshin goes quiet as he sips at his wine.
[06:29] <~Deedles> "Your village sounds interesting. Maybe you could tell me some more about the masters?" Mingxia asks with a curious smile.
[06:31] <Earthflame> "...My mentor is Meilin, The Gentle Blade. She is one of the wisest and strongest people I have ever known... My mother, The Titan Blade, taught me power... But she taught me peace, and faith."
[06:33] <Shen> "My brother, Satzu and his wife Bourbon are masters of the two halves of the Earth temple. "Satzu taught me how to get a headache, Bourbon taught me how to avoid getting a headache." he sniffed.
[06:34] <~Deedles> Reisuki laughs "Why do I get the sense you deserved every headache you got?" she prods. Mingxia giggles as she smiles "I look forward to meeting them all."
[06:35] <Zero_Atma> "I'm sure they'll want to mett you as well, I bet there's a lot you could learn from all of them." Yoshi assures her, drinking deeply from his cup of wine.
[06:38] <~Deedles> Mingxia's smile widen as she nods "I'm sure I'll learn plenty of new things."
[06:38] <Shen> "Not every one of them, just the majority of them. When you've got such a troublesome sister spreading such bad habits, its hard to avoid." he replies to Reisuki with a frown of injustice.
[06:39] <~Deedles> Reisuki chuckles "I think I'll like your sister quite a lot."
[06:39] <Shen> "That's what I fear most." he sighs.
[06:40] <~Deedles> "N'aww, didums." Rei says
[06:40] <Earthflame> Jian laughs good humoredly, but his attention doesn't seem to be on the conversation...
[06:41] <~Deedles> Taishin studied the swordsman quietly for a bit "Something the matter?" he finally asks
[06:42] <Earthflame> He blinks back to the present. "...Just, missing them. My mother, and Meilin. I've never gone more than a day or two without seeing them, before now."
[06:42] <~Deedles> "I'm sure they miss you too." Mingxia says with a soft smile
[06:43] <Earthflame> He smiles at that, giving her a nod. "I know... Thank you." He shakes his head. "Sorry. Lack of sleep catching up to me."
[06:45] <Shen> "Lack of sleep is an understatement." Shen chuckled. "There was one time... Remember that one night? The one where we almost got a killer nights sleep, then Yoshi got accosted by a stranger." he turns to stare at Rei.
[06:45] <Earthflame> Jian chuckles at that.
[06:45] <~Deedles> Rei huffs "I was the one who nearly got crushed by him..."
[06:47] <Zero_Atma> "I was half asleep...and having a good dream too..." Yoshi mutters behind his cup.
[06:48] <~Deedles> "I nearly broke your nose..." Reisuki mutters in return
[06:49] <Shen> "That reminds me, who was that woman who was looking for you?" suddenly pinging to his mind as he looks at Reisuki. "The serious-looking one with the crazy eyes?"
[06:56] <~Deedles> "Short black hair and yellow eyes?" Reisuki asks in return
[06:56] <Shen> He nods.
[06:57] <~Deedles> "In that case that was Asura Makoto, Katashi's first-mate." Rei replies with a grimace "I hate that woman..."
[06:58] <Shen> "She seemed like the hateable kind." he conceded.
[06:58] <Earthflame> Jian frowns. "...Asura? That is a name of ill omen."
[06:59] <~Deedles> "She's a bitch." Rei concludes before she gets herself a bowl of soup and digs in.
[06:59] <Zero_Atma> "You're not kidding, she doesn't seem like the friendly sort..." Yoshi chimes in, snatching up a dumpling before they're all gone.
[07:00] <Earthflame> "Hopefully we'll be able to avoid the pirates entirely... I just hope they do not cause too many problems in this town."
[07:01] <~Deedles> "Don't worry, I'll stick around for long enough to send them back to Haizhou." Taishin says calmly as he leans back slightly.
[07:05] <Shen> "Would be greatful for that Taishin." he sighs, dropping a piece of bone to his plate. "I was trying to buy us some mroe time here, but if they search the inn, the old man there will send them on the same path we may take."
[07:06] <~Deedles> Taishin chuckles "If I tell them I'm on the case Katashi wouldn't dare argue." he says
[07:11] <Zero_Atma> "Hah! that should send them running." Yoshi lifts the container of wine. "Another?" he offers Shin.
[07:12] <~Deedles> "Sure, why not." Tainshin smiles as he holds forward his glass.
[07:14] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi refills his glass, topping himself off in the process,  taking a long sip with a satisfied smile.
[07:15] <Earthflame> A full and satisfied Jian reclines in his chair...
[07:22] <Shen> Shen breathes out a heavy sigh after finishing his plate and finishing his cup.
[07:22] <~Deedles> Rei leans back while looking content while Hayato sips at his wine still. Mingxia hiccups and leans against Taishin, her eyes half-closed. He chuckles as he lifts her "Right, think it's bedtime for you, your highness." he says
[07:24] <Zero_Atma> "I think we could all use a bit of rest after tonight." Yoshi agrees.
[07:24] <Shen> "After that I'm about ready to slip into a coma."
[07:25] <Earthflame> Jian replies with a long, deep yawn.
[07:25] <~Deedles> Taishin chuckles "Yeah." he says before carrying Mingxia out of the lounge, Hayato calling after him "Make sure she drinks her medicine before she sleeps!"
[07:26] <~Deedles> "I will!"
[07:26] <Shen> "What sort of medicine does she take?" Shen asks the Doctor across the table, curiously.
[07:30] <~Deedles> Hayato rests his hands on the table as he looks at Shen "She has an illness that causes her blood to not bind oxygen as well as it should, the medicine is a tea made specifically to help her body do so." he explains
[07:33] <Shen> "Does she know how to brew the tea herself?" he asks him. "Or have you got a recipe we can take with us?"
[07:33] <~Deedles> "Hah, she's more than capable of making it herself. She always does every morning when she opens the tea house." Hayato tells Shen with a slight smile.
[07:38] <Zero_Atma> "... in case she can't, maybe I should know how to brew it, just in case." Yoshi pipes up.
[07:39] <Shen> Shen returns the smile to the doctor and chuckles at Yoshi. "Planning on spreading your wings into the tea business?" he grins.
[07:40] <~Deedles> Hayato looks thoughtful "Well, giving you the recipe can't hurt, takes a doctor to know what to put together and why, but seeing as all you need to do is follow the recipe I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do it."
[07:41] <Zero_Atma> Yoshi shrugs. "You never know what could happen on this sort of journey, we've already had someone lose an arm along the way." he points out.
[07:42] <~Deedles> Hayato looks seriously at Yoshihiro "I sincerely hope nothing like that happens to Ming while she's in your protection. Shin would have your heads."
[07:44] <Zero_Atma> "So do I." Yoshi replies in the same tone. "But it doesn't hurt to be prepared for the worst."
[07:44] <~Deedles> "True, and I already said I'll give you the recipe." Hayato says with a raised brow.
[07:46] <Zero_Atma> "Good." Yoshi relents. "If all goes well I won't need it, but you never know."
[07:46] <Shen> "No such thing will happen to her." Shen states simply.
[07:47] <~Deedles> Hayato smiles at Shen and nods "Good."
