  1. There's some interesting stuff going on here compositionally; for example I like the way you quoted Chorale for Jaspers in the intro. There are a few things I think you should change about the track, however. I understand how you split up the track into four sections but I don't think the way you accomplished this works that well; the transitions are either too short or too simple. The one at 0:34 should be more than just a sustained piano note; maybe extend the horn too and keep the kick playing throughout the measure. The transition at 0:57 is kind of weird because of how the time signature and tempo are changed abruptly but it's not too bad, maybe just add a piano note and long cymbal hit when it starts. The transition at 1:49 is definitely lacking, though. I think you should add some kind of a sound effect there, some kind of a rising woosh, before the track starts up.

  3. Some other things to note: the shaker/hi-hat you have throughout the song is too loud in the mix. Either lower the volume or tone back its high end. Try and find a better brass sample for 1:30 if that's possible: I like the way you pitchbend it but the sample itself isn't really that great quality. The repeating piano note you have at 1:39 doesn't really fit: instead of repeating F five times make it play F, E, D, D, and then a C# before the finale to help give a better transition. Additionally, change the syncopation on the second and fourth notes so they play three beats after the first and third. Starting at 2:07 the track gets really loud: lower the volume on the hi-hats, lower the volume on the new synth you introduce playing the high notes and pan it to the right, and pan the xylophone hits(?) to the left. Try to spread things out instead of having them clump up in the center and become this mass of sound. Generally I agree with Mines and Cait that your high end is too over-prounounced; hopefully what I suggested will help remedy that. Hope these tips help. (2/10/18)
