  1. What glitches do/don't work in comparison to the original TP?
  2. Ordon Gateclip (only the sidehop/backflip clip method, bonking through with Epona still works)
  3. BiT (no hard/soft reset capability)
  4. Map Glitch (taken over from GC JP which was patched in the same way)
  5. EMS (removed slow swing and the area is protected by extended collisions)
  6. Bomb Boost to Sacred Grove (can still boost up the ledge, but extended collisions prevent further progress)
  7. Fishing Rod Hover (can still dupe fishing rods, but changed controls prevent the hover)
  8. Clawshot clip in Lake Hylia (Kagarok OoB clip still works)
  9. Floor clip in Snowpeak (can still skip the ice by jumping over)
  10. Raising Mirror Skip (zoom in and out method doesnt work anymore to allow warping)
  11. Howling during the Hidden Village quest (need to beat bublins first and use a hidden transform spot to howl --> actually faster)
  12. L-Sliding with items
  13. Vine Clip (only in Lakebed, works on other vines)
  14. (credit to db for compiling this list)
  15.
  16. Wait, so LJA wasn't fixed but all of those were? Why?
  17. Here's all the reasons I can think of:
  18. 1. Tantalus/Nintendo didn't find it in testing (extremely unlikely)
  19. 2. Tantalus/Nintendo found and knew of it but left it in the please speedrunners (possible but also very unlikely)
  20. 3. Tantalus/Nintendo found and knew of it but were too lazy to change the targeting system (more likely)
  21.
  22. Back in Time still works though, I saw someone hack it in Wind Waker HD and they are the same game hurr durr.
  23. It's actually fixed completely in TPHD. Even if you hack for the reset, the game crashes upon loading the title screen. Even if you got around this, it still crashes when you gain control of Link. It absolutely does not work in TPHD and likely never will.
  24.
  25. Is TPHD faster than the original?
  26. No, mostly due to EMS and Map Glitch being patched. Goron Mines and Temple of Time are still skippable, though. Forest Temple can also be skipped in the future if we find a way to Kakariko without bridge warp. (No EMS = No rupee roll, no BiTE = no KB1 fight warp)
  27.
  28. How do you skip goron mines?
  29. Previously, this was impossible or slower due to needing a hidden skill. A little while after TPHD's release sva accidentally clipped out of bounds with epona on accident, which dragonbane recognized as a potential GM skip. It was only recently replicated and understood. The OoB with epona lets you access a shortcut to Zora's Domain before bomb bag or ball and chain are gotten, allowing you to win Iza's bomb bag with some clever gale boomerang targets. Getting Iza's bag allows you to beat King Bulbin 2 without arrows and get the Zora Armor.
  30.
  31. Can't you just steal the bomb bag?
  32. No, you need Midna on your back (requires Midna's Desperate Hour to be complete) or ooccoo in your inventory to steal the bag. Once you beat a dungeon, the ooccoo is no longer available, so Forest Temple is out the question. Goron Mines would be too much of a time waste and Lakebed traps you in Lanayru Twilight (see next question).
  33.
  34. Why can't you skip the Zora Armor in this run?
  35. Can't enter Lakebed Temple/beat Lanayru Twilight. You can still do pillar clip under Twilight like in the original, but you are stuck in Lanayru Twilight forever because you can't turn into wolf and continue (no EMS or warping).
  36.
  37. Is it possible to skip KB2?
  38. Yes, but it requires a hidden skill which is slower to get. If you figure out how to do it without one, you will be my hero. (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfNEuOK0Cc4)
  39.
  40. Does City in the Sky Early still work?
  41. Yes. It looks like there was an attempt to slightly move the statue to prevent the clip (the clip is harder now), but they didn't test it well enough.
  42.
  43. Why are you getting gold splits so often?
  44. I cleared my best splits due to a new splitting method dragonbane designed. It's a WiiU only console auto splitter.
  45.
  46. How does the auto splitter work?
  47. You'll have to ask dragonbane for specific details, but it essentially reads memory from the WiiU and sends split commands to a livesplit server based on the memory. All of it is done via router connection over my local network. Yes, this has potential to work for all WiiU games and possibly Wii and Gamecube games in the future.
  48.
  49. What does the amiibo do?
  50. The amiibo is tied to a specific quest log file before the run. It allows me to auto load the quest log from the title screen, making each savewarp slightly faster. I believe it saves 2 seconds per savewarp and the run does 6 savewarps.
  51.
  52. What's the difference between real and game time?
  53. Real time is real time. Game time is real time without loads.
  54.
  55.
  56. These were the most common questions I received in the past few weeks. Post any more you have in chat and I will add them to this list.
