「うむ、貴公に破嵐万丈を抹殺してもらいたい。
可能であれば、メガノイドより先にな」
Cruhteo: Yes, I want for you to kill Banjo Haran. Before the Meganoids, if possible.

ブラド
「御意。
地球のカタフラクトや円盤どもとの戦で
物足りなさを感じていたところです」
Vlad: As you command. Battling Terran Kataphraktos and flying saucers have left me feeling dreadfully unsatisfied as of late.

ブラド
「必ずや破嵐万丈の首を取って参りましょう」
Vlad: I’ll make certain to bring you Banjo Haran’s head.

クルーテオ
「頼むぞ」
Cruhteo: I’m counting on you.

ブラド
「はっ。それでは」
Vlad: Sir. If you’ll excuse me.

(Vlad leaves.)

Slaine: (After what happened, it’s possible that Princess Asseylum has ended up working alongside Banjo Haran.)

Slaine: Count...

「なんだ?」
Cruhteo: What is it?

スレイン
「アセイラム姫暗殺の真相を明かすためにも、
私を」
Slaine: I am able to reveal the truth of Princess Asseylum’s assassination.

クルーテオ
「ほう、姫の仇討ちをしたいとでも?」
Cruhteo: Oh? Are you saying you wish to partake in avenging the Princess?

(Cruhteo strikes Slaine.)

Slaine: Ugh...!

「わきまえよ、地球人!
そう何度も我らヴァースと共に
戦える身分と思うか?」
Cruhteo: Know your place, Terran! How many times do you think your position allows you to fight alongside Vers?

「15年もの年月、いつしか我が手にと焦がれ続け、
砕けた月の影から無様に地球を見上げていた
我々軌道騎士の切願を…」
Cruhteo: For more than 15 years we have been crouching in the moon’s shadow, yearning for the day the Earth would belong to the Orbital Knights...

「姫はその生命を以て叶えられたのだ。
これは軌道騎士の戦だ、貴様の出る幕などない」
Cruhteo: The Princess granted us our wish with her life. This war belongs to us Orbital Knights. You have no part to play in it.

Slaine: (He’s trying to exploit the Princess’s death too...)

Trillram: ...Count Cruhteo.

クルーテオ
「何用か」
Cruhteo: What do you need?

トリルラン
「先程、ブラド卿とすれ違い、話を聞きましてな。
ひとつ進言に参りました」
Trillram: I happened across Sir Vlad a moment ago and he was kind enough to spare a few words. There is one piece of advice I’d like to give.

クルーテオ
「申してみよ」
Cruhteo: Speak.

トリルラン
「ブラド卿の任に
そこの地球人も同行させてみてはいかがかと」
Trillram: I was hoping you would be willing to allow the Terran boy to accompany Sir Vlad on his mission.

スレイン
「…!」
Slaine: ...!

トリルラン
「そやつは私と同じく、
破嵐万丈と一戦を交えております。
何か役に立つことがあるかと」
Trillram: Like myself, he has also engaged Banjo Haran in combat. He may very well be of some use.

クルーテオ
「ふむ…」
Cruhteo: Hm...

トリルラン
「本来ならば私が出向き、
雪辱を果たしたいのですが…
残念ながら、我がニロケラスは修理中」

Slaine: ...Sir.

トリルラン
「出撃前に話がある。一緒に来い」
Trillram: Before you leave, there is something we must discuss. Come with me.

スレイン
(やっぱり…何か思惑があっての進言だったんだ)
Slaine: (Of course... I knew his advice would come with some kind of ulterior motive.)


(Scene changes to a military base.)


万丈
「何かあるかと思って、この基地に立ち寄ったが…
成果はなかったな」
Banjo: I thought we could stop by this base and get a grasp on what was going on... But it doesn’t look like that’ll be happening.

耶賀賴
「物資は残っていなかったんですか?」
Yagarai: There aren’t any supplies left?

レイカ
「ここの部隊が撤退した時、
めぼしい物は全部持ち去ったみたいね」
Reika: It looks like the unit here took all the vital supplies with them when it was time to leave.

カーム
「でもまあ、昼飯を食べる時間が
できたのは良かったな」
Calm: But hey, at least it’s a good time to eat lunch.

セラム
「ええ、空の下で取る食事が
こんなに美味しいとは…」
Seylum: Yes, I never knew a meal underneath the sky could be so delicious...

(姫様…)
Eddelrittuo: (Princess...)

ライエ
「…呑気なものね。
いつ敵が現れるかわからないのに」
Rayet: ...You’re all too carefree. We have no idea when the enemy could show up, you know.

ビューティ
「ギャリソンが一緒にいたら、
こういう時でもティーセットを出して、
きっちりお茶を淹れていたところよ」
Beauty: If only Garrison were here, he would have laid out a tea set and prepared it as if it were perfectly natural, even in a time like this.

「ふふ、そうだな」
Banjo: Haha, very true.

ユキ
「…ほら、ナオ君。もっと食べなきゃ」
Yuki: ...Come on, Nao, you need to eat too.

「もう充分だよ」
Inaho: I’ve already had enough.

ユキ
「ダメダメ。
次はいつ食べられるかわからないんだから」
Yuki: That won’t do. You never know when will be the next time we can eat like this.

大介
「…姉弟仲がいいんだね」
Daisuke: ...You siblings get along well.

ユキ
「ヘブンズ・フォール以来、
ずっとふたりで暮らしてきましたから」
Yuki: Well, the two of us have been living together ever since Heaven’s Fall.

大介
「そうか…」
Daisuke: I see...

ユキ
「もしかして、大介さんにも兄弟が…?」
Yuki: Do you have any siblings, Daisuke...?

大介
「妹がひとりいる。
ただ、フリード星を脱出した時、はぐれてしまってね。
どこかで生きていると信じているが…」
Daisuke: A sister. However, we were separated when I escaped from Planet Fleed. I still believe she’s alive out there, somewhere...

ユニス
「みんな、ここにメガノイドの無人機が接近中よ!」
Eunice: Guys, those Meganoid drones are coming our way!

万丈
「やれやれ、僕が食事を取る時間はないか」
Banjo: Good grief, and I didn’t even have time to eat.


第7話
『追撃の騎士』
Episode 7
Knight in Pursuit


(Scene begins on a map screen of a military base. Banjo, Inaho, Duke, and the armored car are deployed. Several Aiais appear.)

万丈
「アイアイだけか。
さっさと蹴散らして、ここから離れるぞ!」
Banjo: They’re only Aiais. Let’s just kick them to the curb and be on our way!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

万丈
「…ふん、他愛ない」
Banjo: ...Hmph, trifling.

伊奈帆
「さっきの連中は斥候ですね」
Inaho: They must have just been scouts.

万丈
「ああ、おっつけ増援が来る。
すぐにここを離れよう」
Banjo: No doubt, which means reinforcements will be here shortly. We should get out of here before then.

伊奈帆
「もう来た。この反応は…」
Inaho: Something else is coming. Judging from its reading...

万丈
「ああ、面倒な相手だな」
Banjo: Yeah, this opponent could pose to be a problem.

カーム
「それって、まさか…!?」
Calm: Wait, you don’t mean...!?

万丈
「そう、火星カタフラクトだ。
みんな、ここから移動して迎え撃つぞ」
Banjo: Yes, it’s a Martian Kataprakt. Everyone, move to intercept the enemy here.


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up on the same map, with Banjo, Inaho, Duke, and an armored car are on the other side of the map now.)

「万丈さん、火星カタフラクトの狙いは…」
Duke: Banjo, the Martian Kataphrakt’s target could be...

万丈
「ここまでわざわざ来るってことは、僕だろうね」
Banjo: If he’s coming all the way out here, I suspect he’s after me.

セラム
(それだけじゃないはず…)
Seylum: (There must be more to it than that...)

万丈
「…伊奈帆」
Banjo: ...Inaho.

伊奈帆
「わかっています。
装甲車には近づけさせません」
Inaho: I know. He won’t get close to the armored car.

(Vlad and Slaine appear.)

ブラド
「見つけたぞ、破嵐万丈。
貴様の首は、このブラドがもらい受ける」
Vlad: There you are, Banjo Haran. I, Vlad, will be taking your head.

万丈
「ほう、目当ては僕か」
Banjo: Oh, so it’s my head you want?

ブラド
「無論だ。裏切り者を捨て置くことはできん」
Vlad: Naturally. A traitor cannot be left unpunished.

万丈
(あいつはアセイラム姫が生きていることを
知らないのか…)
Banjo: (So he isn’t aware that Princess Asseylum still lives...)

スレイン
「あれは…」
Slaine: That’s...

スレイン
(オレンジ色のカタフラクトと、
あの時の装甲車…もしかしたら、
アセイラム姫はあの中に…)
Slaine: (It’s the orange Kataphrakt and armored car from before... Princess Asseylum might be inside it...)

スレイン
(何とか接触しなければ…!)
Slaine: (I have to make contact with it somehow...!)

ブラド
「地球人、貴様は下がれ」
Vlad: Stay out of my way, Terran.

スレイン
「私もお手伝いを…!」
Slaine: I would like to assist—!

ブラド
「いらぬ。
伯爵に言われて、貴様をここまで連れて来ただけだ」
Vlad: You will not. I only brought you along because it was at the Count’s behest.

スレイン
「し、しかし…!」
Slaine: B-But...!

ブラド
「貴様の出る幕ではない。下がれ。
従わぬのであれば、叩き斬るぞ」
Vlad: You do not belong here. Now stay out of the way. If you disobey, I shall slay you myself.

スレイン
「了解…しました」
Slaine: Yes...sir...

スレイン
(くっ、ここまで来ておきながら…)
Slaine: (Agh, even though I’ve come all the way here...)

(Slaine leaves the map.)

万丈
「単騎で来るか」
Banjo: Going into battle alone, I see.

ブラド
「このブラド専用カタフラクト、
アルギュレの力を見るがいい」
Vlad: Take a good look at the power of my personalized Kataphrakt, Argyre.

(Vlad’s mech powers up.)

ブラド
「アルドノアドライブ出力上昇。
エネルギージョイント接続、
ブレードフィールド展開…」
Vlad: Aldnoah Drive output rising. Energy joints, connected. Blade Field, deployed.

ブラド
「アルドノアドライブ、出力最大。
プラズマジェネレーター起動準備、完了」
Vlad: Aldnoah Drive, maximum output. Plasma Generator startup preparations, complete.

ブラド
「抜刀」
Vlad: En garde.

韻子
「手に持ってるの、ビームの刀…!?」
Inko: It’s got a beam sword in its hand...!?

万丈
「ああ、相当な熱量だ。
ダイターン3やグレンダイザーはともかく、
他の機体はあれで斬られたらまずいね」
Banjo: Yeah, and it’s producing a vast amount of heat. Daitarn 3 and Grendizer may be able to handle it, but the rest of the machines would be torn to ribbons.

デューク
「万丈さん、奴の相手は俺たちで」
Duke: Then we’ll be his opponents, Banjo.

万丈
「そうだな。他のみんなは下がってくれ」
Banjo: Right. Everyone else, stay back.

伊奈帆
(もしかして、あの火星カタフラクトの武器は…)
Inaho: (That Martian Kataphrakt’s weapon just might...)

セラム
「…エデルリッゾ、あの騎士と話をします」
Seylum: ...Eddelrittuo, I will speak to this knight.

エデルリッゾ
「危険です。もし、暗殺者の仲間だったら…」
Eddelrittuo: That’s too dangerous. And he could be an ally of the assassins...

セラム
「承知しています。
ですが、皆さんを守るためには…」
Seylum: I am aware of the risks. But, this is to keep everyone safe...

エデルリッゾ
「いけません。前回は運が良かっただけです。
もう二度とあのような無茶は…!」
Eddelrittuo: You mustn’t! You were fortunate last time, but trying it again would be absurd!

伊奈帆
「セラムさん」
Inaho: Seylum.

セラム
「え?」
Seylum: Huh?

伊奈帆
「そこにいてください」
Inaho: Please stay there.

セラム
「しかし…!」
Seylum: But...!

伊奈帆
「そこにいて」
Inaho: Stay there.

セラム
「は…はい」
Seylum: Y-Yes...

伊奈帆
「万丈さん、デュークさん。
ダイターンとグレンダイザーに超高熱線を
放射する武器はありますか?」
Inaho: Banjo, Duke, do either Daitarn or Grendizer have any weapons capable of producing vast amounts of super-heated energy?

デューク
「ああ、スペースサンダーだ」
Duke: Yes, my Space Thunder.

伊奈帆
「じゃあ、僕の合図で
いつでも発射できるようにしておいてください」
Inaho: Then please be ready to fire it when I give the signal.

万丈
「ダイターンにもそういう武器はあるが…
奴の狙いは僕だから、引きつけ役を
やった方が良さそうだね」
Banjo: Daitarn also has weapons like that... But since he’s after me, I ought to make a good distraction.

伊奈帆
「お願いします」
Inaho: Please do so.

デューク
「こちらも了解だ」
Duke: We’ll follow your lead.

ブラド
「フッ…アルギュレの刃を見て、身がすくんだか。
ならば、立ち所に斬り捨ててくれる!」
Vlad: Ha... Did the sight of Argyre’s blade paralyze you in fear? Then you’ll be cut down where you stand!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(This exchange triggers if Inaho battles Vlad.)

ブラド
「ふん、飛び道具とは無粋な」
Vlad: Hmph, firearms are so tasteless.

伊奈帆
「武器があの刀だけなら…」
Inaho: If his only weapon is that sword, then...

(This exchange triggers if Banjo battles Vlad.)

ブラド
「ニロケラスと同じようにいくと思うな」
Vlad: Don’t think this machine is the same as Nilokeras!

万丈
「確かに、あいつより動きが速い…!」
Banjo: It’s certainly faster, I’ll give you that much...!

(Battle 2 ends when Vlad’s HP falls below 50%.)

ブラド
「くっ、調子に乗るなよ…!」
Vlad: Tch, don’t get cocky now...!

伊奈帆
「…動きを止めた。
デュークさん、あいつの刀身にスペースサンダーを」
Inaho: ...He stopped moving. Duke, target his sword with your Space Thunder.

デューク
「わかった! スペースサンダー!!」
Duke: Got it! SPACE THUNDER!!

(Duke attacks Vlad.)

ブラド
「何っ!?」
Vlad: What!?

ブラド
「ぬうっ、腕と刀が!」
Vlad: Ngh, my sword and arms are...!

伊奈帆
「…機体の爆発には至らなかったか」
Inaho: ...So it didn’t explode after all.

ブラド
「おのれ、これでは!」
Vlad: You curs!

伊奈帆
「だけど、あいつはもう…」
Inaho: But even so, now he can’t...

ブラド
「聞こえるか、地球人! 撤退するぞ!」
Vlad: Are you listening, Terran!? We’re retreating!

スレイン
「は、はい!」
Slaine: S-Sir!

(Vlad leaves the map.)

カーム
「あいつ、逃げたぞ!」
Calm: The guy just ran off!

伊奈帆
「思った通りだった」
Inaho: That confirms my assumption then.

万丈
「よし、僕たちもすぐにここから去ろう。
その後で落ち着ける所を見つけて、弾薬を補給する」
Banjo: Right, then let’s break away from here. Afterwards we’ll find a place to collect ourselves and resupply our ammo.

伊奈帆
「わかりました」
Inaho: Understood.


(Scene ends.)

(Scene changes to a night sky.)


カーム
「…それにしても、
なんであの火星カタフラクトは逃げたんだ?」
Calm: ...Hey, so, why did that Martian Kataphrakt run away?

トッポ
「万丈兄ちゃんたちにやられたからだろ」
Toppo: ‘Cuz Banjo and the others beat him up.

カーム
「いや、知りたいのは
そんなざっくりとした理由じゃなくて」
Calm: Yeah, I get that, but I mean that can’t be the only reason.

伊奈帆
「あいつの武器はあの刀だけだ。
それが使えなくなったから、撤退した」
Inaho: His only weapon is that sword. Once he was unable to use it, the only thing he could do was retreat.

韻子
「確かに、射撃をしてこなかったわね」
Inko: Oh yeah, he never fired any guns, huh?

伊奈帆
「…本当は機体の爆発を狙ってた。
だけど、思っていたよりあいつの冷却装置や
余剰エネルギーの排出機構が高性能だったみたいだ」
Inaho: ...I was actually hoping to blow the machine up. But it’s cooling system and surplus energy emission was much more effective than I anticipated.

伊奈帆
「あるいは、プラズマを刃状にしている
フィールドか何かのせいかもしれない」
Inaho: Or it may have something to do with the field shaping the plasma into a sword.

万丈
「高熱エネルギーに超高熱エネルギーをぶつけて、
熱伝導でオーバーヒートさせる、か。
明快な作戦だったね」
Banjo: Smashing a high level of thermal energy against a super-high level of thermal energy to cause it to overheat with thermal conduction, huh. A brilliant plan.

伊奈帆
「懸念点はスペースサンダーの熱エネルギーが
あいつの刀を上回っているかどうかでしたが…」
Inaho: My only concern was if Space Thunder’s thermal energy would surpass that guy’s sword or not.

大介
「とりあえず結果が出せて良かったよ」
Daisuke: I’m glad it worked out in the end.

伊奈帆
「ええ、グレンダイザーのおかげです。
僕らの[カット]だけだったら、無理でした」
Inaho: Yes, and it’s thanks to Grendizer. This would have been impossible with just our [Kats].

ライエ
「あんな武器があるのなら、一気に倒せば良かったのに。
あいつはまた現れるわ、きっと」
Rayet: If you had a weapon like that, you should have used it to take him down right then. There’s no doubt he’s going to show up again.

伊奈帆
「それはわかってる。
だけど、あの時は戦闘を早く終わらせたかった」
Inaho: I understand that well. But at the time, I wanted to end the battle as quickly as possible.

ライエ
「メガノイドの増援が来る可能性が高かったから?」
Rayet: Because there was a good chance that Meganoid reinforcements would be coming?

「…ああ」
Inaho: ...That’s right.

(それだけじゃないわね)
Rayet: (We both know that isn’t the only reason.)

(もしや…)
Seylum: (Is it because...?)

(火星騎士との戦いが長引けば、
姫様がまた無茶をなさるかもしれないから…?)
Eddelrittuo: (If the fight against the Martian Knight dragged on, the Princess may have done something reckless...?)

「み、みんな、聞いて!」
Eunice: G-Guys! Listen to this!

韻子
「どうしたの、ユニス?」
Inko: What is it, Eunice?

ユニス
「さっき、ヴァースが流してる放送を受信できたの!」
Eunice: Vers just sent out a live broadcast!

カーム
「マジかよ!?」
Calm: Seriously!?

万丈
「内容は」
Banjo: About what?

ユニス
「ヴァースの皇帝が、地球連合政府に
休戦を布告するって言ってるんです!」
Eunice: The Vers Emperor is declaring a cease-fire with the Earth Union government!

セラム
