  3. 1. Steel has awful navigation. There's a reason why it has the meme as the most confusing map and it's not entirely because people don't learn it, it's because it does a poor job of communicating it's layout. Not only is it small and cramped compared to other maps, and the detail density is pretty whack, it has a serious problem with landmarking. All it's areas look really similar. Indoors is all the same, and the map is surrounded by big walls that basically mean players are essentially playing indoors all the time, this means players can basically never orient themselves in the map.
  4. A lot of the reason people consider your map to be a copy of steel is because your point settings and vibes are the same as steel, escpeially the final point but also with A and D.

  6. 2. The spawn stuff other people have talked about, I feel like players should never ever get lost in their own spawn. Instead of closing doors in their face, which adds to their confusion a LOT, consider moving the spawns around, having other spawn rooms, changing the way the player faces when they spawn (see, sulfur's middle red spawn. It's the same room but the spawns rotate 180 degrees when A is capped)

  8. 3. Personally I think Steel has a big problem with a lot of shit getting in the way, props, railings especially, boxes. Your map has a lot of this too and it makes it feel even more craped. I really think your map needs just...some more breathing room in general. You have no open combat spaces, basically at all, everything is either corrodors or full of something (rocks or railings or hydro cover barriers)

  10. I would reccomend studying some other more recent steel type maps and see how they grapple with these issues. I can talk a little about my experience with Sulfur but you should also look to Hadal, Reactor, to an extent Alloy.
