  1. A prototype developed in semi-secrecy by Arbor Mechanicals; the MS ZE-A (Zatsudan Emitter - Assisted) was the final model in a line of experimental mobile suits. It's purpose was to house and transport the latest version of AM's Total Zatsudan Engine, a sophisticated suite of information technology that could be used to hack and override all communication channels within a projected range of 500 kilometres. While able to wield most standard armaments, the suit's primary purpose was to enter and stay within this range while avoiding direct confrontation. To that end the ZE-A was outfitted with a large number of powerful thrusters, in particular four large ones housed in maneuverable pods on it's back. The engineering team began to refer to these as the 'quad-tail assembly' due to the distinctive four plumes left behind at top speed.
  2. The secret to this final prototype's success was the presence of an onboard AI to operate the TZE, whereas previous models required nearby support teams of human engineers.
  3. While ostensibly the application of the suit was to simply listen in or shut down enemy communications security leaks from AM revealed the hiring of a sizable team of specialists in the fields of psychology and neuroscience, suggesting potential plans to use the ZE-A's ability to also broadcast it's own message.

  5. Before it could be put to trial in the field, however, the ZE-A went missing. Although recorded as stolen, the final logs retrieved from it before disconnection show no sign of the cockpit opening or any pilot at the helm. Since that time, rumors have begun to surface among mercenary groups and soldiers engaged in small-scale conflicts. Uniformly they report detecting an incredibly fast moving signature on radar before hearing a hauntingly beautiful singing and losing consciousness. Many among those interviewed seemed
  6. to display an unsettling reverence towards this sound, as well as an uncommonly strong and instinctual camaraderie towards others who shared their experience. Further psychological assessment and an attempt to prevent such individuals from banding together is recommended.
