  26. A list of known wrong answers, from most public sources and a private server.
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28. UPDATED ON 12/02/2020 07:00 PM (MM/DD/YYYY) (PST)
  29. Information regarding this list is available below it.
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31. This will probably be the last version, since no more guesses can be made and
  32. there are only a few left from the public source that are still waiting. As a
  33. final message, I'd like to thank everyone for using this and I hope it was
  34. useful. On SERVER EX, we're basically relying on #dotgang as our last ditch
  35. effort. From us to everyone else, we hope that it's actually the right answer,
  36. it isn't a troll, and we give the best wishes to whoever actually gets the PC.
  37. Oh, and to .tech domains, thank you for making us rely on a bloody period.

  412. FaQ (or questions I'm anticipating)
  413.
  414. * Who are you?
  415. I'm ggtylerr, a coder, streamer, and tryhard for all things boolos. My discord is \\GGTyler\\#4480.
  416.
  417. * What is "SERVER EX"?
  418. "SERVER EX" is a private discord server that was started after the first god went off. It was created so people from the main server wouldn't take the work we did and just get the answers from there (which some people did in the first god.) In case you're wondering, we're all from there and we basically consist of the first VC (at least from my knowledge) that grouped up to beat Boolos.
  419.
  420. * How can I trust answers from "SERVER EX"?
  421. Good question, and there really isn't a good way to gain trust without letting people join in the first place. (In fact, this list was made because we couldn't exactly trust all the answers given in public sources since they were mostly unverified.) I guess the only way for people to trust us is saying what we have done.
  422. The reason we made this group private, like briefly mentioned, is because people benefited off of us without doing the work first (AFAIK we were the first people to get the minesweeper part down and got the answer.) We also have one of the first people that was confirmed to have a correct answer (CSN3RD). We've also managed to get the 2nd answer pretty fast (though not *the* fastest according to some people), and we've found some tidbits on GY that nobody has found (or at least mentioned) yet. For example - on the 'brokethecode' twitch image, the code leads to a youtube video. (youtu.be/87KRu7s6lkk)
  423. If you need additional confirmation, DM me on Discord.
  424.
  425. * If "SERVER EX" is private, why make this list public?
  426. This list was made public after both our progress and the main server's progress has slowed down a substantial amount. A vote was made to make this public (it's been private for a while now) and it won by 10-4. We're hoping that this list can help both parties and make some progress.
  427.
  428. * Why is it called "SERVER EX"?
  429. That isn't the real name of the server, don't worry. I just wanted to name it something mysterious but also really funny if you actually think about it. Look at the abbreviation for it.
  430.
  431. * Why make this list when two others already exist?
  432. This list consists of all answers from there, as well as answers from SERVER EX. This way, you can clearly tell what is absolutely confirmed to be wrong, and what are answers that are *said* to be confirmed wrong (but since it's a public list that anyone can edit, there's no way to tell for sure that it's legitimate.)
  433.
  434. * Why is the "not yet confirmed" list only available for answers from "SERVER EX"?
  435. 1. This list would be incredibly long.
  436. 2. There is no way to tell whether or not they will be confirmed (some of those answers have still not been confirmed from the start)
  437. 3. All answers from "SERVER EX" will at least be confirmed sooner rather than later.
  438.
  439. * Why make this on pastebin rather than on Google Docs/Sheets?
  440. This isn't a place to submit answers if you confirmed them yourself - there are already two places to do just that. The main point of this list is to gather answers from both of those places (including the ones from "SERVER EX") and compile them in a list that is both usable and known to be confirmed. The only downside to this is that it's not always going to be up to date, but I try to update this as frequently as I can. (Also - I prefer plaintext/markdown and pastebin is the only service I know that lets me regularly update it online.)
  441.
  442. * Why is it all lowercase?
  443. Answers are case-insensitive (meaning they can be lowercase, uppercase, or mixed.) In order to avoid any confusion, all answers are lowercase.
  444.
  445. * How is this "regularly updated" when there's been only 4 versions on 12/01/2020?
  446. Yeah, sorry, life gets in the way in the worst possible times I guess. Don't worry though, for the last day I'll try to update it ASAP (at least every hour)
  447.
  448. * What's the point of this now that there's only one public source (the guess index/spreadsheet)?
  449. On the spreadsheet, there's pretty much no indication on whether answers are from before the merge, after, etc. (Also, somehow it's still missing some stuff.) This is still the only place to check that. (If you want to see nearly everything before the merge, check out the 3rd version.)
  450.
  451. * Can I help out with this list?
  452. If you have an answer that you *know* is confirmed (or you confirmed yourself), then submit it to either the reference manual or the answer spreadsheet. Those answers will then be copied over to this list once I update it. (I update it pretty frequently)
  453. If you want to help updating it, DM me on Discord and I'll consider it.
