- [21:44] Perhaps it was the way that those words were being spoken to him. Perhaps it was because it was mentioned that he would be imprisonned— arrested. But those words that Alice spoke were...
- ... They didn't make sense. They didn't make him feel like they should be the right words. No, no. These were definitely wrong. It shouldn't be this way.
- Kofe had been risking his life for Osrona despite the fact they'd looked down upon him for being Rhoynish. They'd risk Alice's life for the sake of a piece of metal. And he was just... going to let it happen? He was going to let war go on and fester further?
- The young man's frown grew deeper, his lips parting to utter a few more words.
- "We... gotta end this war, Alexander."
- A clenched fist, trembling, tugging him forward.
- And thrown towards Alexander's face.
- And another. Another. Another.
- It was like Kofe's deeper instincts were flaring up— as if he had awakened from the bad dream that was this false reality under the rule of a friend who refused to bow down.
- "Just let me end it all!
- I don't want her to die because you can't admit defeat!"
- Del was right.
- Some people had definitely lost their mind.
- (Kofe)

- [21:47] Urizen nods his head in agreement with Tiernay's speech. These people who, may or may not, have anything to do with Osrona in any capacity weren't out to question the king's command. Rather than agree, to defend the faith and Petrakis line, they had decided to squabble and speak of survival. And within the faces of the enemy, no less. No private council, no secret meeting, just open sedition for all to see.
- It made Urizen frown with disgust at how there were talks of loyalty from the mouths of snakes.
- "You guys wanna talk about unity when you're squabbling in the middle of the streets, questioning your own king, speakin' your minds as if you're his equal." He doesn't bother speaking on behalf of Alice and Marie, those who shared his blood. But those who did not, those who swore to protect the crown and people, yet they were now deciding to show their hides.
- "Real loyalty shows when thepressure is on. And right now, I ain't seein' a whole lot."
- His opinion was thrown in with his others.

- [21:47] The silver-furred fox settled onto the bench as the scene unfolded before him. He seemed comfortable enough as things went down, a gilded sake-cup in his hands. Strange mana seemed to radiate from it as he took another drink.
- His ears flicked as he listened to the Lionhearts weigh in on what was happening. It was kind of sad to hear them but at Mariaan he couldn't help but feel his lips curling in amusement. That was pretty funny.
- Then Kofe leapt straight for the King, now that was surprising. The kitsune's ears flicked slightly in surprise. A civil war? What was he back in Sheng?

- [21:49] Something finds it's way to Alexander's gaze, which bears as a hard blue. Shifting from person to person. Still more doubt, more words of ill-spoken passion.
- Alexander gestures to the guards armed by the sides, and they move, to gesture August and Kofe to the jail. And then Kofe starts throwing fist after fist for Alexander.
- The King leans back, some punches hitting air. Some striking chin and if nobody moves to stop the rhoynish, then Alexander himself would have to act. An armored greave rises, catching the strikes against First Light Armor.
- "August, head to jail. Someone apprehend Kofe." His words are tense and spoken with the fury at this incompetence and clear lack of respect.

- [21:53] Caleb uses one of his phantoms to pull Kofe away, but that would or could end up in a fight, though that was not his purpose. His is simply to constrain him. Between the phantom and then him.
- "What are you doing? This is not the way, Kofe!"
- Is he out of his mind? This is a pure assault to the King. No, he wouldn't allow this to happen. He was faster then ost of them even if no the strongest.
- "Kofe, enough! You get nothing doing this!"

- [21:59] It wasn't a fair fight. Caleb was far, far too young to get in the way of affairs like this one. Though it wasn't over for Kofe. Far from it. Alice's words found themselves bouncing against a wall of denial.
- "No! I can end this— just..."
- She would forgive him. She would, certainly. He went forth once more.
- Towards the King. Or whoever may stand in his way.
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:59] Marie rubs her face, and sighs quite a bit - it was one thing to punch Alexander in their private home, as Kofe had done a million times, a Rhonyish to Petrakis stand off; it was another to do it in the middle of the city, in broad daylight, of people who didn't understand their.. Friendship. The politics, open politics, with unnecessary people were getting quite stale; and now understanding the extent of their actual crimes, after the words of a few, Marie would just stay stale faced; nodding the way of Alice. A sign that she was done bothering, as the Princess turned and shook her head.
- Groaning - the united Esshar against the fragmented city of Osrona.
- "Alexander - talk, later? We'll... Work through this. In private; talk about things since you are now without a council."
- "--- Figure out how to get our Queen Mother back." While it would be expected for Marie to want to see Serea gone for good, for some reason she didn't; as if something had changed, as she turned to watch the fight Kofe was about to take part in.
- The tiniest of frowns resting on her features as she realized the mess they were truly in; the church doing the job of the Military, the Military doing-... Their job terribly, in fact, and the citizens? Might as well be walking away with little sticks tied to bags, vanishing down horse tracks into the night.
- And it seemed that wouldn't be the end of it, as the Pitchfork vendor down the road was selling out rather fast; she noticed.
- (Marie ras Petrakis)

- [22:01] Grey Arborea asks, "I got seven coins, what does aht' get me?"
- [22:01] He was more powerful and Caleb grits when he realizes that Kofe not only manipulates the same magics he does, he also has poison. Oof. Which leaves him dropped on the floor, phantom gone. He definitely could not stop Kofe, all he could expect is the King doing something.
- He manages to say, as he gets up, "Kofe… please.... don't..." Before the amount of wounds makes him drop on one bench panting.
- (Caleb Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:01] Such a short, lame response to her... that's when she knew something was wrong. Perhaps Kofe broke under pressure, stresses piling up. She scowled, looking over at the guards. Swallowing dryly.
- "Be gentle with him." she sighed. "Alexander... let's go."
- A sad look was given over to the Rhoynish.
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:01] Grey Arborea says, "well, that's a shame..."
- [22:02] "Osrona is bleeding. Del is letting their emotions run through rather than letting the calm minds comes..."
- "This is troubling times..."
- Instead of worrying on protecting the magi, they moved to protect the people that were there. The ctizens that may have ended up getting hurt would be protected by Malikos own body if it was needed.

- [22:11] It wasn't something that happened just everyday in Osrona. Kofe had been docile for... years. He never brought forth any problems, or when he did they'd be behind closed doors— controlled. Left at peace. This wasn't like anything else, however. This was an... urge. Something tugged at him to move on forward. To stop this war once and for all. His lips parted as he screamed at Filia.
- "Get... out of the way! Don't let more people die for this!"
- Almost scolding her before a massive wave of sound hit her right in the chest, driving her backwards and into a tree. She'd probably have a few broken ribs from that one, yet Kofe moved on. Forward.
- His sights did not shift away from Alexander.
- He was going to end this war. Once and for all.

- [22:29] The final combatant of this eve, and perhaps the loyalist of them all -
- There is no mercy to the conjurings of the Keeper. He does not relent. He does not withhold. Though fatigued from his previous conflicts, Kofe fights valiantly, true to his heritage, and fearsome until the end;
- Starlight plasters the streets, true to Osrona's title - 'The Shimmering City'.
- There is upheveal. Crystals are beckoned forth to grind through the earth, hurtling stone and dirt wayward. The forces of nature pollute and intoxicate, vile blooms tugged forth by transcendental energies to puke and huff their vile spores.
- Their conflict reels to a close in a flurry of stardust, though his garments look no different; dried blood sops wet, new patches of dirt are proudly adorned, and fragments of his armour - armour of the First Light - lay bent and shattered.
- A wayward crystal cleaves harshly across Kofe's calve -
- - and another is hurtled directly toward his heart.
- (Sethon)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:30] Grey would pass the reed over to his time bending companion.
- (Grey Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:31] Erehn took a puff of the reed before contemplating life and watching from the sidelines.
- (Erehn Linnaeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:34] He had to fall at some point, right? He couldn't go through an entire Osrona just to fight the King. There had to be someone, at some point, who would stop him. His feet betrayed him. The wounds sustained in war lead him to stumble forth, right into intoxicating flower blooms from the grass nearby, only to be caught by a sprinkling of stardust that absolutely decimated him, rendering him blind for a moment due to the sparkles all around him.
- When he could see again all he caught was a flying crystal heading straight for his heart. No problem. He'd dodged many of those before—
- A stinging, intense pain struck right behind his leg from another bit of crystalized earth, leaving him vulnerable to the other shot.
- It threw him off his feet, at last. He was left on the ground in an evergrowing puddle of blood from all the fighting he'd done today alone. His gaze staring up towards the stars and a... confused expression on his features.
- How could this have happened?
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:35] This was going to put a serious hamper on things. She could already feel Alexander's gaze upon him.
- Alice... was already rather tired. Injured in her bout, exhausted mentally and physically, it was difficult for her to consolidate her emotions. As Kofe was downed, she moved forward.
- Any fatal injury was interposed by the woman was interposed, holy magics flashing for an instant. She looked down at Kofe sternly.
- "... Absolute moron." It was about as strong an insult she could manage before clocking him over the head, serene magics dulling the blow to send him peacefully (?) into unconsciousness for a while.
- She looked over to the priests. "Don't execute him. Let's go, Alexander..."
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:37] Fu tilted his head as he watched the fighting, curious.
- (Fu Feng Fa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:37] While Alice declares such, there's a careful gaze that watches what exactly Kofe's fate would be, but..
- As for Mars protesting with her whispers? It seems that the Rhoynish mostly disregards it. There are times when he would not listen to anybody else.
- Not even her.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:38] Filia whispers something.
- [22:38]
- Then it seems that it would result to what she most certainly hadn't expected. For now, she merely awaits...Her head tilted high, her hand gripping tightly upon her bow and arrow. Surely, he knows how this will end.

- [22:41] Kofe's eyes shifted towards Alice as she moved closer to make sure he wouldn't die then and there. His lips parted, letting out a few incomprehensible words, muttered for her to hear alone before he seemed to drift off, at last.
- No longer capable of remaining conscious after all of that fighting.
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:41] Bernadette covers her sobs with a hand.
- (Bernadette Avitus)

- [22:42] Grey would quickly throw a glowing mushroom in his mouth.
- "North, friend."
- A red mist would be at his, alongside his companions feet.

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:43] Kofe whispers: X Æ A-12... Tea...
- [22:43] Grey Arborea says, "eesh, 'ere he goes."
- [22:44] Considering Alexander's silence on the matter, for as much as he expected the king of Osrona to declare what exactly he'd be doing about this..
- His gaze turns towards Alice.
- Of all people here that aren't his associates, perhaps he trusts her most on this matter alone - if only because of the fact that she has a reason to follow the same idea here as Basil.
- "Alice."
- "I trust that he'll live?"
- A crucial question- one that he asks directly. For one thing can be rather clear..
- He's not going to have it any other way.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:45] Nox orchids find Basil, blinking.
- (Nox)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:46] "Of course..."
- Though they'd not interacted personally, it was a voice faintly familiar, like a dream forgotten long ago. Alice didn't have the power to decide Kofe's sentence over the king, but...
- She'd do what was in her power to see it done.
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:48] Victorious, bloodied, and ran far beyond the capacity of his own body -
- The Keeper steps forth, digits fed into the confines of his cloak. Though wrought with anger at the treachery so sickeningly displayed, Sethon was loyal to the royal family first and foremost, and with a sharp, dismissive nod, heeding the commands of the Royal Grace, the faithful withholds the executioners axe.
- It does not prevent the conjuring of that familiar, binding collar from the confines of his robes, though, set forth to clamp down upon the throat of Kofe and stifle his command of the arcane.
- There is not a peep from Sethon otherwise. No prayer, no witty commentary. Silence grips him, reflective of the State of Osrona; what they had done here, today - on the battlefield, even - would have severe ramifications.
- But justice would always be realized, regardless of consequences.
- (Sethon)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:49] Malikos Caelum says, "The stars say no."
- [22:49] The King is silent on this matter.. for one reason or another.
- "Throw him in the jail, Keeper."
- And then the King of Esshar turns, eyes a hard blue on the group of Alabastre.
- "Is there a reason you are all here?" Alexander asks, wondering if they were here for diplomatic reasons or solely to watch.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:49] Tiernay Reveille says, "For fun, of course."
- [22:49] Grey Arborea says, "Heh..."
- [22:50] Grey Arborea says, "That's about what I would suspect."
- [22:50] Alexei Isolet says, "Just was wondering what we're gonna do with the prisoner.."
- [22:50] Tiernay Reveille says, "Well, it's not like there's anybody about that can tell me where I can't be."
- [22:50] Alexei had no clue what was going on here to be honest.
- (Alexei Isolet)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:50] Grey Arborea says, "Well, I'm not going to try to be that person"
- [22:50] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "I'll tell you in the coming days, cadet. For now, keep an eye on them. We'll use them to get our people back."
- [22:51] Alexei Isolet says, "Mm, gotcha."
- [22:51] She remains rather tense. Her grip tightening and loosening upon her crossbow. There are no words in response to the King's statement. Just a narrowing glance upon Basil.
- (Mars)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:51] "Well, I was here to check on Del, since I've trusted you all to keep your amazingly incapable hands on them for protection."
- His hand comes up in a mock surrender before folding over each other as he cants his head to the side. What sort of question was that? "But instead I got treated to a greater show of idiocy."
- (Owyn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:51] Arch says, "Speaking of which . ."
- [22:51] Huffing, she makes her way over to Alexander. The scene had come to an end, and Kofe was alive. Despite the dispute amongst them, it seemed most didn't get involved in trying to stop him.
- "Alexander... Are you okay?" She tilts her head to the side. "He didn't graze you up, did he? I can make a potion if it's needed." Even if Kofe didn't manage to hit Alexander properly, she does remember those fists swinging towards the man's face.
- (Nox)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:51] Fu looks back at what appears to be most of the Lionhearts. How odd to see them in Osrona... After a defeat... Making demands. Well, he was no Royal who had to worry about appearing weak in front of an enemy. Peasant life was nice at times.
- (Fu Feng Fa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:51] August did a few touchups to owyns hair.. line still aint right
- (August lux Astor)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:52] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "That is fine, Owyn, Tiernay. I was merely wondering if there was a response to my letter."
- [22:52]
- No time for posturing. Arch was willing to act as a messenger, it wouldn't be prudent to meander with such an important letter; driven forth by Serea's rather emphatic words. Not a moment was wasted before the courier made his approach-..
- Sam's early words were almost prophetic, the shimmering city was already tainted with bloodshed and chaos.
- His gaze honed onto Alexander.
- "King Alexander rei Petrakis, I bare letters from Lightbringer Serea Lux Astor and Deacon Thalis Avitus. The Queen Mother urged they be delivered immediately. Lives are at stake." Truthfully, massive pursue brimming with crowns coincidentally played a part in the man's personal motivations. Offering an almost-apologetic nod before retrieving both of those critical missives.
- Presenting them - As well as a mithril katana, emblazoned with the crest of the royal family. "I also return this, as per your mother's wishes." The Courier's expression was a rather somber one.
- Always the bearer of dreadful news.
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:52] Tiernay Reveille says, "Hmn, that's probably something Mars needs to answer."
- [22:52] Grey begrudgingly hands Erehn over a bag of coins.
- "Ere' goes my last ale..."
- Grey quickly saw Owyn in his intoxicated state, this wasn't going to end well.
- "Aye, weren't you supposed to blast a 'ole in my head or something, all coupl' years ago, or somethin?"
- (Grey Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:52] Mars says, "We didn't get a letter."
- [22:52] Tiernay Reveille exclaims, "They don't tell me enough!"
- [22:52] Basil says, "No. There was no letter."
- [22:53] Owyn says, "No letter."
- [22:53] Tiernay Reveille says, "Then there's my answer...."
- [22:53] The bindings refuse to seal, in an unanticipated turn of events -
- Disgruntled, digits fork through the atmosphere, commanding an ebb of mana between the cracks of pavement; greenery shifts and rises, forking through those tight little spaces. Fleshy growths of flora spring from the earth, a mass of serpent-like tendrils set to coil about the figure of Kofe and hoist him airborne.
- They squirms along at his flank at the behest of the King of Esshar, Kofe's motionless figure practically dragged toward the prison.
- "Do you require my presence afterwards, Your Majesty?"
- (Sethon)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:53] Urizen Lee says, "Whoever you gave the letter forgot to tell us shit."
- [22:53] Arch says, "Ya'll need a better courier.."
- [22:53] Erehn pulled a bottle of sake out of his satchel and put it in Grey's hands.
- "Aye, try this."
- (Erehn Linnaeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:53] Fu sighed, his hands coming to clasp in front of his stomach as he turns around and departs the scene.
- (Fu Feng Fa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:53] Grey Arborea asks, "yeah what ever appen'd to the old courier buisiness?"
- [22:53] Grey Arborea exclaims, "oh, thanks comrade!"
- [22:54] There is but a single glance given towards Alice; a hesitation follows on to whether he would even be able to trust her word or not, considering everything, but.. at the very least, it's unlikely that she would want to see him die.
- Yet, his gaze turns towards Alexander.
- "Strolling by. Apparently, this was happening in public." That's why they stopped by, which.. should actually be self-evident.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:54] Erehn Linnaeus says, "You are welcome."
- [22:54] Alice ras Petrakis says, "Feel free to stay with him, Basil..."
- [22:54] Alice ras Petrakis says, "Actually- that would be best."
- [22:54] Alice ras Petrakis says, "Until our meeting is done."
- [22:54] Bernadette Avitus says, "......"
- [22:54] Grey Arborea says, "now I owe you some vodka, or somethin'"
- [22:54] Erehn Linnaeus says, "Nope."
- [22:54] Arch says, "Bernadette."
- [22:54] Erehn Linnaeus says, "It's free. Because i felt like it."
- [22:54] Grey Arborea exclaims, "alright!"
- [22:55] Arch says, "I have letters for you as well."
- [22:55] The King of Esshar looks upon Nox and shakes his head no.
- "I am fine for now, thank you, Nox." His jaw had been scraped, chin cut but nothing compared to the wounds sustained earlier during the war battle.
- And then came Arch, delivering letters. The katana is looked over, and then received. "Hand them over, please," the King speaks, holding out hand for such parchment.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:55] The Radiant lingers in the crowd, one arm folded across her chest and the other propping her chin up on it.
- "Did I miss something during my time in Myllenoris? Are the members of The Faith now the primary force of Osrona?" She looks around for other knights to confirm or deny this question, only to realize that there were none left.
- "That explains a lot."
- (Ilsa lux Ambrose)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:55] Grey Arborea says, "today's a- moderately evened out day"
- [22:55] Disgusting vines carry Kofe around after he finds himself bound once more. From rags to riches to rags again. This was a horrible day.
- At the very least Alice was alive. That's all that mattered. That's... why he did it, right?
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:55] Uri Sanctum says, "Hm..."
- [22:57] She would return Osrona, worse for wear. Her right shoulder dislocated, just dangling there all nasty ass. "Gyahhhh. Big blue beast hurt me..." She would say in a greatly pained voice.
- (Paisley Inavyre)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:57] Erehn stepped out of line to address whatever the random Acolyte was dealing with. "Medic right here if needed."
- (Erehn Linnaeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:57] "That's good... I am sorry you have to deal with so much, you are only trying your best." Frowning, she brings a hand down to his shoulder and squeezes.
- "If you ever need to talk, let me know. Even if it's about the stars, it can be like old times too. Just to take a break from it all, feel free to request for me anytime you need." She lowers her hand away, it seemed he still had important business to tend to.
- And if that was all, she would give him space.
- (Nox)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:59] Hand both missives along with the Lightbringer's blade, Arch didn't linger around the king for any longer - relocating to Bernadette's side. "Bernadette? My condolences for yer' current situation-... I bring a letter from Thalis and Saya."
- Along with a particularly hefty sack of coins?
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:59] There's but a shake of his head. Truthfully, he did have other matters at stake.. and what would Basil's presence really change? If they wanted to execute Kofe..
- Then they could do so later on, after Basil actually leaves.
- "There's no need for that, Alice. Even if I stay, it doesn't change much in the long run - if a particular idea was already made up."
- "I trust that something foolish won't be done." A pause, to which he adds.
- "And I know that people realize what abusing my trust could lead to."
- A subtle warning? But.. to kill Kofe could potentially mean catastrophic consequences for Osrona that is already in a rather troublesome state.
- He needs no other statement made. Instead, his gaze turns back to Mars.
- "I believe we're done here."
- "Unless there's something about that letter we were supposed to receive."
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:00] Paisley Inavyre exclaims, "I was attacked by a big blue beast!"
- [23:00] Erehn Linnaeus asks, "What'd it look like?"
- [23:00] The Keeper stops in his tracks, a statuesque stillness, eerie in nature. Ashen eyes befall Filia only briefly - they are vacant, as if distracted in thought, consumed by something of greater importance.
- That anger - that fleeting fury - boils within his core. How uncharacteristic of him.
- There is a rigidness to his motions as he pivots, lips parting to betray words he never quite knew he wished to utter:
- "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed."
- Digits twiddle, ebbs of mana commanded forth. Kofe, hauled a few metres at his flank, stands the focus of his attentiveness. Nothing else quite matters.
- His wrist flicks forth, propelling that singular crystal toward his cranium with blinding speed.
- Glory to Osrona.
- (Sethon)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:00] Paisley Inavyre exclaims, "It shot water at me and made my shoulder go crack ow!"
- [23:00] Erehn Linnaeus says, "I will shoot it later and prepare for immense pain."
- [23:00] Uri has seen enough for today... The people of Osrona turning their blades and fist against one another. Surely, there was some civil conflict. So, he left it at that... It was never his issue, but, a duty for the Knights to handle... So, like the commoner he was, Uri made his departure, knowing that the people only truly mattered, when bodies were needed... Not when an opinion needed to be spoken. Such, was a clear image, or perhaps, it was his own frustration. Never the less, a drink or two might help him mellow out.
- 'The day the town was more active, was the day of chaos... That's just how it worked... Osrona never united much for peaceful times, only when fire burned through the streets. When the jesters danced in fire and blood... Not think about what it's like, to be the other guy.
- "Some soup and tea sounds nice about now."
- Everyone had negative thoughts.
- But that didn't mean they had a one track mind towards it. Not when tea was involved. A modern day solution for present day problems.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] pursue for intervention (for Mars).
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] attempts to yeet Basil back by the hand. Oof...
- (Mars)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] "Sethon?"
- They moved forward instantly, not wanting to see what was going to happen with the only hope of stopping what they were doing. Trying to stop them from actually trying to harm them, and trying to do things that were just out right horrible.
- They had no rights.
- NONE.
- "You LOST YOUR MIND. THE CHURCH AS LOST THEIR MIND."
- (Malikos Caelum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] why even bother...
- (Tiernay Reveille)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] stop this.
- (Malikos Caelum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:02] Violence is bad!
- (Paisley Inavyre)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:03] what the fuck
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:03] is too tired to move
- (Esbern Tyr Antioch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:03] Erehn grabbed Paisely's right arm and broke it three times over before jabbing deep into her flesh to accelerate the healing with time magic.yes
- (Erehn Linnaeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:03] There were tears already in Bernadette's honey hues. Filling them and streaming down her pink hued face. It was clear she was extremely upset about the news of her husband being taken prisoner. She was barely holding herself together..
- But as Arch comes to her with letters and coin, she'd take them greedily.
- "Thank...You.." She managed to choke out.
- She'd read the letters and continue on with her sobbing.
- (Bernadette Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:04] She would scream in pain. What a mean man, surely he could have healed her in a less violent way. "GYaaaaaaaah!" She screamed out in pain.
- (Paisley Inavyre)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:05] Uri does a Filla and extends his hand.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:05] why even bother x 2
- (Owyn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:06] Paisley Inavyre says, "Bad time but."
- [23:06] Paisley Inavyre asks, "Can you enchant?"
- [23:08] Paisley Inavyre exclaims, "My robes!"
- [23:08] "Se-"
- Her reflection's countenance is not quite anything she had ever descried in the span of their familiarity. It was candidly terrifying.
- Before she can positively assess the situation with conclusive astuteness, his fingers twirl and usher forth a crystalline round due for the Rhoynish man's head.
- "...thon..."
- (Filia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:09] "You-"
- An immediate wave of stardust is sent out. Intended to either sweep Sethon of his feet, or knock him back, or otherwise cause his aim to slip up and miss. Truthfully, what follows next is something that probably nobody on entirety of Esshar wanted to see..
- A roaring Rhoynish.
- Charging right at you.
- But.. it seems that as much as he was going to charge in after the initial interception, what follows is the shock of Owyn stopping him in his tracks, no doubt to stop him from this.
- "LET GO!"
- "LET ME FUCKING GO! THAT'S MY FUCKING BROTHER YOU MORON!"
- An unforgivable act to just make Basil stand there and watch as Kofe dies.
- How could they actually expect him to have peace with that?
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:10] Esbern leans on the lamp post, exhausted from his exchange with Kofe, but his face turns to shock as Basil shouts that he's Kofe's sibling.
- "So pariah had two children? Who knew...", he muses out loud.
- (Esbern Tyr Antioch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:11] Intervene the shard pursue.
- (Marie ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:11] There is a nod of his head to Nox, taking in her words and her quiet comfort.. but then before he can respond further.
- Sethon sends shard out for Kofe's head - despite Alice's order, despite Alexander's order. Unlike him to say the least.
- "Stop! Something is going on here," the king speaks and his blade draws with a whip, the light of the stars collects around the mithril steel, and the King's blade moves, kocking away at the crystal rounds for Kofe's head.
- Either way, despite Kofe's crimes. An execution out here in public? It reeked of something wrong.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:12] Nox gasps a little, moving out of the way. She didn't intend to be in the way of so many people rushing over, moving back to Mariaan.
- (Nox)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:12] Elora moved her shield and staff into a readied stance. Advancing at the Kings flanks, taking guard behind him as was her duty.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:12] Insanity- on the field, and now at home.
- Alice was slow to react.. fortunately, there were magi far faster and far more competent than her ready to move. She gasped.
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:13] Mariaan was watching the whole scene like it was the greatest show on earth, hands to her mouth and almost biting her nails. She looked back to Nox.
- "This is CRAZY!"
- (Mariaan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:13] There is something that needs to be learned here. Something that everyone must understand- that no matter what happens, she wouldn't have allowed it to happen. She wouldn't allow Basil to get into something that one of his own had went into... Because while Kofe is most certainly his brother, she would not make him subject to the law of Osrona...Nor would she allow him to succumb to those that are around. Virulent and yet beautiful, the red cosm flutters upon her form would expand in full glory....The earth beneath her feet rumbles, the cobblestone cracks, and rends of earth dare to rise in order to block the pursuit.
- "You won't be dying because of him."
- The arrow is lifted and one eye is closed. Between index and thumb is the string pulled...But what is at the head of the arrow is what is most fearful. Fangs of cosm and flame can be seen...They lick and chomp at the air before the arrow releases, aiming to strike true to the sternum of the warrior..
- Strike true. Does she aim.
- To not kill him.
- But most certainly, incapacitate.
- (Mars)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:14] Owyn's hands seem to yank Basil in all of his rhoynish rage, attempting to calm this incredible anger from within. He knows how it seems, but he also knows that Kofe is someone who has been digging their own grave for as long as they've known of him.
- "Are you out of your mind?"
- Contrasting greatly the loud and booming voice of Basil, the Lionheart is quiet and stern, seething with a hiss towards them in their forcible efforts to subdue his pack member.
- "I'M your brother, you're MY brother. We're PACK! Kofe? Isn't pack!"
- And in his earnest heart he can truly say, that particular rhoynish could die a million times over and wouldn't receive even a blink from Owyn. But Basil? Making himself a target even more than he already has?
- Owyn.
- Mars.
- Tiernay.
- Urizen.
- Nox.
- Edelaide.
- The List goes on and on, the amount of people that would be devastated by such a turn of events. And none of them, all alive and those who were well, would rather die than watch him try and step in for someone who had done wrong.
- "So even if I have to fight you myself, you big oaf of an idiot, I'll do it if that means making sure WE get to walk out of here."
- (Owyn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:14] The young noble, off to the side, is forced to watch in horror as the scene turned deadly in one fell moment. It was like the results of this battle had turned everyone mad- vile, at eachother's throats.
- It was likely something she hadn't read into just yet. There was clearly more here. She rushes to the side of the nearby Radiants- and simply remains.
- No words spoken. Only observation.
- (Aradia ven Pelleaux)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:14] Tiernay had moved to react to the chaos which ensues, though it seemed that the varying speed of his companions had warranted not but a chaotic scene in which only Owyn could reach him.
- Chaotic, everything surrounding him usually had been. Though such was most certainly the life he preferred to live.
- Unpredictable, incomparable, free..
- "I suppose for once, I'm on the sidelines.." A little bitter, but he's glad someone could make it. Especially Owyn.
- (Tiernay Reveille)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:15] Mars misses the arrow though...So she can't stop him. Basil too fast..
- (Mars)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:15] Trembling a little, she can't help but take deep breaths. So much was going on, and it was hard to keep up with it all. Even while Mariaan was soaking it in, she smiles towards the young courier.
- "Y- Yes... It's crazy, and all we can do is watch."
- (Nox)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:16] ?
- (Filia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:16] What if... He thought.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:20] "Enough. Enough of this madness, King Alexander."
- She finally moves forward after watching and observing. After trying to stand by and get a feel for Osrona's state as a whole after her year long capture and release.
- Things had only gotten worse. And without presence and pressure from those who were actually intended to keep the peace within the city, things would only go further down from here.
- Ilsa makes her way to Kofe as the crystal shard is deflected by the king, her golden eyes more or less locked onto Sethon.
- "This chaos stops here." Even without the Queen Mother that had been watching over them for so long. "We will have order." Even with Romani's voice of reason now stolen from the city as well.
- She pulls the cracked and battered blade from its sheath and stands guard over the fallen Rhoynour as Alexander acts.
- "I don't know what lunacy the Church has been allowed to fall into after the loss of Pericles and the capture of their new Stellus, but this will not continue."
- (Ilsa lux Ambrose)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:21] You cannot expect the Rhoynish to stand aside when their own are being killed like that.
- And while Owyn and Mars try to make their point, no matter how valid.. truthfully, it doesn't matter - the moment that he noticed Sethon even try to kill Kofe at all, it immediately sealed the fate for that man in his eyes. He would be someone that he'll hunt, even if he lives to tell the tale right now.
- All that he sees is red.
- "You're out of your mind if you think I will stand aside."
- What comes is a low growl; it seems, however, that other people were going to actually do something about it - for as much as he was stopped, and unfortunately, he cannot reach his brother in time..
- It does not mean this rage fades.
- "You don't get it."
- "None of you do."
- Yet, as much as he cannot reach Kofe in time -there's still time to reach Sethon afterward.
- And he won't be missing that chance, so long as he gets past another.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:23] Bernadette nods, and wipes at her cheeks.
- (Bernadette Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:23] Lloyd Durages says, "e"
- [23:23]
- Hello.
- (Lloyd Durages)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:28] Uri Sanctum says, "So close..."
- [23:34] Bernadette is completely ignoring the scenes around her. Looking at the ground, she walks away. Silent. Crying.
- (Bernadette Avitus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:35] Uri Sanctum says, "..."
- [23:38] Owyn's might is not enough to stop Basil.
- For as much as the Lion before him was a formidable force on his own, it was not enough to keep the Rhoynish down; of all things, he shouldn't have expected himself to be met with any sort of 'reasoning' from Basil.. especially when it comes to his own family. But..
- He also realizes that he might be late.
- The flames explode against one another, an endeavour in which he finds himself overwhelmed by the fiery disposition that Basil is capable of- for as much as he intends to hold him down, as much as he succeeds in bruising the Rhoynur enough to make him feel it.. perhaps, it's the rage that he carries which seems nigh impossible to overcome.
- And where he sees an opening in this exchange?
- The tint of stardust shines. A calling of the rosegold star, one that intended to keep him away, one that pushes its might in collapsing star against Owyn.
- "OUT OF MY WAY!"
- But..
- As much as it pushes him aside.. it does not incapacitate him. His blood boils at the mere fact that they tried to stop him, that perhaps he will be too late now.. but he never intended to hurt another family over one being threatened.
- Instead..
- What is directed next is a collapsing, superheated flame - right against Sethon, with intend to not only take him down, but even potentially kill.
- Whether he's late to save Kofe or not...
- He'll be coming for him.
- Right now.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:41] The Keeper of Faith would never harm his King willingly, and yet, where Alexander strikes forth, so is he forced to defend -
- The King has suffered great injury throughout the bedlam of combat, and as chaos unfolds, it resonates in the sluggishness of his actions; so used to His Majesty whipping about in a flurry of resplendent, heavenly gold, this sluggish, meagre effort was a pathetic display on his part.
- Perhaps it were best he -
- A well-set swing collides with his physique, flinging him aside; digits strike forth in response, crystalline fragments - blunt, as opposed to keen - battering the physique of the King of Esshar.
- He is summarily hurtled across the square.
- His stave is lifted in defence of Basil's attack, though that ruby shard remains true to its target -
- Oblivion drew near for dear Kofe.
- (Sethon)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:52] Chikara Yaban says, "oI."
- [23:56] {Item} You drop Golden Armring.
- [23:56] {Item} You picked up Golden Armring. Dropped by Kofe. .
- [23:57] Chikara Yaban says, "C'mon then."
- [23:58] Chikara Yaban says, "....fuck."
- [00:00] There is unbound rage found in the Rhoynish. The tales of the Rhoynish dictate that they're the enemies of the dark, the emissaries of the End for the Nethradin and Shaytan; that their fury and might alone is able to terrify even the denizens of Helheim itself, the most wicked creatures that could possibly be found.
- And today...
- It's shown to everyone why.
- "YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS."
- A roar. A blood-chilling roar, filled with the essence of primal rage that is shown in the way that he strikes, the tint of rosegold rapidly flaring when it seems as if Basil becomes no longer a man that was shown to others moments ago.. when he becomes a force of nature, here to deliver the punishment unto Sethon for attempting to kill Kofe earlier. Yet.. the force of nature carries biased, emotional intent behind it.
- It's what hedeems his own blood that was almost killed. It's what he deems a brother, a family- and the strikes resemble that each time they're delivered upon Sethon. To say that Basil goes through unharmed? It would be terribly wrong - for each time that he nears to him, flames licking upon the skin of Osronan and the cosmic stardust singing his flesh..
- It's rather clear the sharp, thorny vines cut across his body just as much- the spores which intend to snuff out his breath working their way about him, and the crystals pierce his body cause the blood to gather around the plaza, the testament to the sheer brutality that is found in this combat. If anything, it's rather clear that his body suffers a punishment of its own, but..
- A roar.
- That deafening, blood-chilling roar.
- Is it odd to say that it seems to not impair Basil, despite the injuries gathering upon his frame? To any other magi, perhaps.. but it's the Rhoynish blood that causes his cosmic magic to flare like this, for him to charge in so blindly, so enraged against Sethon- he's caught off guard, grasped upon the throat, and..
- "Die."
- What appears next is Sethon being slammed into the ground, held by the throat- the superheated stardust appearing right before him, and where he's made to face it - his face, his entire head is smashed into what feels like sun's surface. Searing, burning him in the most agonizing fashion.. and while one could expect the Rhoynish to be done with it, the face of the man is slammed into such molten surface.
- Again.
- And again.
- And again.
- Until he's sent rolling forth across the ground, perhaps some of his body beginning to catch on fires as well due to pushing through this molten surface. Whereas Kofe remains safe..
- The Rhoynish approaches towards Sethon in distance, a killing intent found in his gaze.
- "I'll kill you."
- "I'll fucking kill you."
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:00] Tiernay Reveille says, "Kill him, I'm bored."
- [00:02] This was a disaster. Alice was so slow, so weak-- was this how it'd end? No... Basil was here.
- The princess ran over to Kofe, pulling him from harms way as the two fought. She ran a hand through his hair. He remained... blissfully unconscious. Maybe no one would tell him how close he came to death.
- That'd be nice!
- "My dear.."
- (Alice ras Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:04] --The crystal, subsequently, was blown away before the kill could be committed.
- The unfathomable rage and brutality found in this battle was started in subsequent throw of the overbearing cosmic mana, one intended to purify the area upon which Sethon stood - one intended to intercept the attempt for a kill.
- (Basil)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:06] The damage has been done. Several magi fighting within the area- cobblestone caught up within the upheaval of crystal and explosions. The promise of death ringing within the air while vermillion life essence spills upon the ground. Here, death is so promising.. And yet, she would be here to prevent it from continuing...
- She's far beyond angry with the actions of Basil. Because it leaves him vulnerable. Because it makes him...caught up while he's lost within his unfathomable rage. Regardless though, there seems to be an interception from the woman...
- Another wall is conjured, deflecting the overbearing cosmic magic shot within the form of Sethon...Her bow now trained upon the being of Basil.
- "Basil. Stop now." There is no longer anessence of 'questioning' within her voice. It is a demand...But should he continue pursuing forth, she'd definitely shoot first.
- (Mars)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:07] Kofe may have been blissfully unaware of everything that was happening around him, being left unconscious quite some time ago. Yet his spirit could certainly feel Basil's own rousing up. There was a nagging feeling within his dreams that something was happening, something major, whatever it was. Yet, it all... simmered out.
- A voice reached out to him and a warmth found its way to that subconscious of his. Unbeknownst to Kofe, this hint of a smile on his lips as he leaned into Alice's grasp meant much, much more than happiness.
- He was safe. For now.
- Would the truth come out one day?
- Most likely.
- (Kofe)
