  1. “Magic God, you still cling to the surface!! So don’t think you stand a chance against my master who has crossed the Abyss!!!!!”
  2.
  3. An explosive noise burst out.
  4.
  5. But it was not the sound of the violent gale Accelerator had been trying to unleash.
  6.
  7. This was less distinct.
  8.
  9. It was an invisible power that covered every part of the world.
  10.
  11. His vector control ability twisted it into a vortex that rushed toward Nephthys like a giant spear.
  12.
  13. “Tch!!”
  14.
  15. The brown goddess had preserved her beauty even as her torso was blown away, but she finally clicked her tongue and pushed Accelerator off of her. This slightly diverted the spear’s trajectory so it only sliced off a tuft of her long silver hair.
  16.
  17. Something was different from before.
  18.
  19. The separated hair did not reconnect and it simply rotted away.
  20.
  21. She rolled away from him.
  22.
  23. Once Academy City’s #1 monster got up, the translucent demon wrapped her arms around his neck.
  24.
  25. She would not run away any more.
  26.
  27. She was no longer afraid.
  28.
  29. She now understood what her contractual master had said. Don’t cry. Don’t be afraid. Yes, she could really and truly rely on him, so she did not even need to fear the possibility of her actions harming him!!
  30.
  31. “You don’t understand magic and you don’t know the rules, so that Magic God could mock you and act all omniscient and omnipotent, but that ends now.”
  32.
  33. In order to truly give him her power and to fight while harming each other, Qliphah Puzzle 545 glared directly at Magic God Nephthys.
  34.
  35. “I will provide you with what you need to know by installing the knowledge of the entire tree of 78 cards. It doesn’t matter if you are aware of it or not, master. Just control the vectors however feels right to you. All of ‘us’ will make sure it all works out!!”
  36.
  37. A wet sound followed.
  38.
  39. Accelerator was supposedly untouchable because he would reflect any and all vectors, but some blood had just left his white skin.
  40.
  41. However, the monster smiled.
  42.
  43. Why should he be afraid of even a single scratch? He was sick of being treated so fragilely.
  44.
  45. A belligerent light shined in his red eyes and Academy City’s #1 spoke to his comrade in arms.
  46.
  47. “That’ll do.”
  48.
  49. The silver-haired, brown-skinned god gave a short response.
  50.
  51. “Oh, dear.”
  52.
  53. She wiped the drops from her eyes with her chocolate-colored thumb, but that probably did not mean much.
  54.
  55. It no longer mattered whether or not the sprinklers were running.
  56.
  57. She could not get between those two on a more fundamental level. There was no longer an opening for her fake tears there.
  58.
  59. “This might be bad.”
  60.
  61. “I don’t give a shit about fake tears used as a weapon.”
  62.
  63. Accelerator spoke quietly while unsteadily approaching.
  64.
  65. That monster was trying to grasp at certain victory while being injured by enemy and ally alike.
  66.
  67. The battle on that train flashed through the back of his mind.
  68.
  69. He remembered that girl who had carried no responsibility at all yet had still cried because she thought it was her fault.
  70.
  71. “I don’t need any calculations or math here.”
  72.
  73. Academy City’s #1 spat out the blood in his mouth and silently clenched his fist.
  74.
  75. That purified white monster had ascended to the point that he could say these words.
  76.
  77. “Real tears carry even more weight than blood. So you’re gonna have to do a hell of a lot of crying to make up for what you did, you piece of shit.”
