Band essay uwU

K, sentimental Chris time again (also story time)(also follow me on the twitter that I don't have).

So, coming off my last band trip I've been feeling really sentimental and been thinking a lot about the people I've met these 4 years, and really mostly the people I've met *this* year.

If you're not familiar with me, I kind of just stuck with my squad which consisted of alumni named Robby, Garett, David, and Jordyn for my first 3 years of highschool/band. This kind of led to me having kind of a rough start this year in terms of close friends (I've always been acquainted with and known other people mainly because of my personality just kind of forcing that to happen since I'm loud) but to my surprise, over the months I've been able to become really good friends with a number of you and it's thanks to all of you that I've had such a great senior year, one that completely dwarfed my expectations with most of my best friends being gone.

Now, I've said all this before blah blah blah, BUT, this trip was really really special, and has really opened my eyes to how much people really care about me. The support and the friendship I experienced (and am still experiencing post trip) from certain people is incredible, whether it was the small, main group of 3 I hung out with (you know who you are), or just people walking around the hotel or sitting in the lobby, being so incredibly kind, or even the people I would sit down and have loooong conversations with about personal stuff (again, you know who you are). You are all incredible people, and I'm so grateful to have met you.

I'm not just talking about my close friends or the people mentioned above (who I also consider close friends) either! I'm talking about all of you, ya'll are f*cking great, and ya'll are the reason I am where I am right now. I honestly love all of you, even if we have personal problems, or whatever bullshit, simply because without this band as a whole, I literally would not be motivated enough to get to the point in life I'm at right now (don't overthink that statement, probably sounds like something it's really not).

Look, I'll be straight with you, I like to be as honest as possible, I think some of you guys are dumb as hell, do stupid things, etc, but I still love you all the same, we're all humans, we all have blunders (believe me I know a thing about being imperfect, I'll make a resume of my dumb decisions one day).

You've made my marching season. You've made my concert season. You've made my band trip. You've made my senior year!
