52. Sam has been one of the best arcade gamers of his time. Once in an international tournament NASA sent the video recording of all the games to space for intelligent beings to find and know more about humans. However the aliens interpreted the games as a challenge and began attacking Earth using the video game data. It's now up to Sam and other old time arcade game champions to save the Earth from the video game alien invasion.
 53. Three world record video gamers - Sam Brenner (<a href=">Adam Sandler) the "Pac-Man" champ, Ludlow Lamonsoff (<a href=">Josh Gad) the "Centipede" champ, and Eddie Plant (<a href=">Peter Dinklage) the "Donkey Kong" champ - combine forces to stop an extraterrestrial life force who took a message the wrong way when we broadcasted video game tournaments which extended to the far reaches of outer space.
 54. I'm not sure what people are expecting from this movie. It's getting a lot of bad reviews and people seem to be having fun trashing Sandler. I don't know why. He did a respectable job, here. He didn't use an annoying, funny voice, he isn't dressed like a female version of himself, and his character isn't a pathetic loser, like in many of his films.

He does a good job portraying his character. Kevin James is likable, as well. They're pretty transparently shooting for a Ghostbusters vibe with this, but, it's forgivable, because it mostly works.

This is far from a perfect movie. I can't say I laughed out loud, partially because of the weirdly hostile audience. The folks I was watching the movie with seemed unwilling to give the movie a chance, so I think very few of them enjoyed it. Too bad.

Go see it expecting a fun movie, with a flawed plot, great special effects, and reasonably believable characters. Don't expect it to be "Gone With The Wind" and you might have yourself a nice time watching this. It helps if you were about 15 when Donkey Kong and Q-Bert hit the arcades. Or not. Lighten up and have fun with it.
 55. Possibly 1 of the worst all-time movies ever made. I know it's mainly aimed at the pre-teen group, but still... characters have no identity, jokes - if you can call them that - fall flat, over-acting is put in place of anything remotely funny. Also, the editing seems like it was done by 4 different people on 4 different substances. Scenes start and end abruptly, there's never a flow to anything. Just absolutely dreadful. I feel my IQ was just halved. This will undoubtedly be shown in film school one day as "how NOT to make a movie." Kudos all around for contributing to the dumbing down of a nation. Save the children, take them to the park instead of this.
 56. Pixels is ultimately a thoroughly numbing experience, not least because all the characters are doomed by a psychological flatness more two-dimensional than any arcade-game screen.
 57. No, but there are 8-bit animations shown throughout the credits. See here or here for more information. Pac-man, Frogger, Paperboy, Centipede, Galaga, Qbert, Donkey Kong, Super Mario, and many more. Other games represented appear to be Burgertime, Missile Command, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Robotron 2084, Dig Dug, Joust, Tetris, Defender, and Smurfs & Duck Hunt (both Colecovision), The credits include (but may only be credits for the video games in the arcade at the beginning): Astro Fighter, Battlezone, Pengo, Space Attack, Zaxxon, and Wizard of Wor. a5c7b9f00b
