The threat: The Haze, a purple fog that has settled over the world. Initially from a meteor impact, The Haze is generated by massive, fleshy towers that grow from roots that spread underground. The Haze is imminently lethal and mutagenic to organic life, creating twisted, horrific creatures known as Demons. It now covers 90% of the world. Humanity cannot survive in the Haze for long without protection.

Arcology: The current lifeline of humanity, Arcologies are massive self-contained habitation units capable of supporting up to a hundred thousand people self-sufficiently. Advanced models are sealed from the outside and have powerful purification devices which can filter out the Haze and keep everyone inside safe. Anything outside an Arcology must be sealed from the environment, or fully automated.

Organizations:
	Valhalla: The organization which trains and equips Einherjar with their Valkyries to become independent mercenary contractors. Valhalla also offers contracts to Einherjar for fulfillment. Contracts are given by Enclaves; the last bastions of humanity left in the world.

	The Triumvirate: A group of three Arcologies nestled in the mountains of Switzerland. Mysterious and secretive, they have extremely advanced technology. Favors energy weapons, fully flying Valkyries.

	The Free Trade Union: A loose affiliation of Arcologies based primarily in the former United States. Promotes reestablishing travel and trade across the world. Favors medium-weight mobile Valkyries with high firepower.

	The Gaian League: An alliance of Arcologies in South America, they are dedicated to purging the Haze from the face of the Earth and restoring the biosphere.
