  1. Red/Blue Rescue Team General Tips and Tricks
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5. Buried Items
  6.
  7.
  8. Several dungeons in Rescue Team have buried items. These can range from the mundane (money) to the great (Sitrus Berries/Vitamins. The question is, how do you get these items? How do you even find out where they ARE? That's what this section is for.
  9.
  10.
  11. The easiest method? Just use a One-Room Orb. The entire floor will become one room, and any buried items on the floor will appear. Keep in mind, these orbs are rare, so this is unreliable. If you want to use this method, check out Grand Sea for these orbs, and don't waste them on places like Darknight Relic, take them to the places with the highest item density.
  12.
  13.
  14. The second easiest method is to have a Ghost type partner that can enter walls, and set them to "Go the other way." They'll randomly wander the floor, and if they pass over a section of wall with an item, they'll grab it. Make sure to have spaces in your Toolbox if you do this. This method is rather unreliable, but until you get Super Mobile on your main, the quickest way to start trying to get some. Enemy pokemon can grab these too, which is why a Gastly in Buried Relic might have say, a rare TM.
  15.
  16.
  17. The next method is to find them via Rock Smash. This is the worst way to find them, but worth mentioning. The HM is on floor 45 of Buried Relic, and has 99 PP. However, this gets burned away FAST. To detect a buried item, run down a long hallway. If you randomly stop, there is a buried item in one of the 2 walls diagonally in front of you. This applies for the other methods, too.
  18.
  19.
  20. The best method all around is get Super Mobile. This requires maximum IQ, so you better buff your main up with Gummis. Not only do you save a moveslot, but you can mine out areas of the map in half the time. If you want to mine for items, dig out long corridors and run down them. At the end of the corridor, take 3 steps down, and mine a long corridor again, leaving a 2 square wide section of wall. This guarantees you won't miss out on buried items in the area. The only things stopping you from mining out the whole floor are the turn limit and hunger. Use a Tight Belt, which are found in Fantasy Strait and Far-Off Sea. Now that you can dig for items, they're easier to get.
  21.
  22. Listed here are dungeons with buried items, as well as buried item density. the lower the number, the worse it is.
  23. 2 - darknight relic (2000; 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15F)
  24. 3 - buried relic (2000)
  25. 4 - mt. freeze peak (800), remains island (2000; F10-20), Far-Off Sea (2000, items after 32f; Tight Belt Here!)
  26. 5 - mt. blaze peak (800), lightning field (2000), northwind field (2000)
  27. 6 - frosty grotto (800), magma cavern pit (600)
  28.
  29. Of all these, Lightning Field seems to be the best all around for buried items. Magma Cavern Pit/Frosty Grotto are too short to search in (without a 1-room orb) with tiny turn limits, and Northwind Field has Perish Song Politoed.
  30.
  31. Here's what you can find in each dungeon's walls:
  32.
  33. Buried Relic: money, Sitrus Berries, Ginseng, TM's, Joy Seeds, vitamins
  34. Far-Off Sea: Hold items, like the Tight Belt/Trap Scarf/Goggle Specs
  35. Frosty Grotto: Vitamins, Ginseng, thrown items, Life Seeds, orbs, gummis, Sitrus Berries, Gold Ribbons (save 1-room orbs for 3f, 4f)
  36. Lightning/Northwind Field: Vitamins, Gummis, Orbs, thrown items, Life Seeds, Sitrus Berries, Gold Ribbons, Joy Seeds, Ginseng

  41. GENERAL QUESTIONS:
  42.
  43. Q: Where do I find the Tight Belt?
  44. A: Far-Off Sea (walls and floors) and Fantasy Strait.
  45.
  46. Q: What does evolution do?
  47. A: Not much outside of giving a larger moveset, and possible new abilities+typing
  48.
  49. Q: How do I get Joy Seeds?
  50. A: The town shop sells them in the postgame every so often. Joyous Tower can have them, too.
  51.
  52. Q: Where's the best place to level up?
  53. A: Western Cave gives great exp, and the Team Hydro maze gives okay exp, and this method refreshes the shops, giving you another chance to find a Joy Seed in them. If you go to Western Cave, bring along Weather Bands for your weak pokemon, due to the Tyranitar Floors.
  54.
  55. Q: These level 1 dungeons are impossible! How can I tackle them?
  56. A: Check out this in depth guide I wrote! http://pastebin.com/nAMMGxA2
  57.
  58. Q: I want to recruit them all, any tips?
  59. A: I wrote a seperate guide for this, check it out! http://pastebin.com/kwhis38n
  60.
  61. Q: I need Reviver Seeds, where's the best place for them?
  62. A: Western Cave, but this is pretty late. If you're really hurting for Reviver Seeds before unlocking it, run a Dojo Maze and then check the shops. Running the Dojo refreshes shops.
  63.
  64. Q: Where can I get vitamins?
  65. A: The Three Field dungeons, Mt. Faraway, and Western Cave.
  66.
  67. Q: Is there a cap on vitamins?
  68. A: You can up your stats until 255.
  69.
  70. Q: Where can I get Gummis?
  71. A: Uproar Forest has a ton of Green/Grass. Sky Tower has a lot of Purple/Sky/Black/Pink. Silver Trench has loads of Blues, and Stormy Sea has every kind. Mt. Steel is good for White/Orange, as well.
  72.
  73. Q: How come I'm getting bonus experience from enemies, as if I used a move on them? I only used my normal attack!
  74. A: Some moves enemies use count as using a move on them, oddly enough. For example, if something uses Future Sight, it counts as if you used a move on them, giving you bonus experience.
  75.
  76. Q: Aside from Trap Avoider, is there anything I can do about my allies stepping on traps?
  77. A: The only other way is to give each partner a Trap Scarf.
