  1. Chapter Two: The City
  2. As the time passes our small colony begins to grow and NOBILITY AND GREAT MERCHANT FAMILIES quickly begin gaining influence in the city, becoming the dominant power in merely a few decades and establishing an OLIGOCRATIC poiltical structure, we had officially become what the continent would call a FEUDAL KINGDOM, altough we didn't have any notable socio-economic features.
  3. The noble families that once were forced to flee with us to a new land due no small ammount of injustices suffered in the years leading towards the war got themselves involved in making and administering justice towards all of the colony, and thus gained great influence and power in our new society, shaping it to resemble a KRITARCHY, considering their skill were critical towards the maintenance of peace and justice.
  4. After the sucessful INTEGRATION of the Harpies in the life of the colony a new threat arose: an IMPERIAL COLONY had begun to rise near the foot of a mountain not far from our city.
  5. Seeing as we hadn't yet adressed the problems and benefits of magic, we instead turned our eyes towards that issue, deciding to maintain PEACEFUL RELATIONS with the old world, so as to not cause unwanted problems.
  6. Deciding we couldn't simply scrap the potential power and benefits brought by it, we instead LIMITED the use of magic to those who could prove themselves capable of handling the responsibilities such power brings, even going as far as creating the DARK ARTS ACCEPTANCE Pact, that allowed those capable of such feats to use such magic so long as it was intended to help the colony, and FOUNDING THE ACADEMY to help select those capable of handly the responsibility of becoming a mage.
  7. With magic under control we started building our PROFESSIONAL ARMY, as we knew that no matter how much we ran from war, one day it would find us, and when that day comes, we better be prepared. After OPENING THE MINES to gather material to supply our army, we decided the next big move should be EXPANDING THE FLEET, old merchant ships were okay for protection of the once small group of exiles but more powerful ships were needed if we intended to defend ourselves from the threats that come from the sea.
  8. With the abundance of mineral from the mines, creating and maintaining THE SEWERS became much less of a problem than it was before.
  9. After those matters were resolved our schollar brought to the rulers a new idea, A NEW FAITH: It wasn't the red god that protected us on our travel in the sea, that was the domain of THE ANCIENT ONES, they were the ones to guide us to this land and they were the ones who brought our lost ship back to our safety right after we gained control of the land.
  10. Seeing the potential of our city two powerful guilds came in contact and established themselves in the city: THE SCULPTORS and THE FLESHCASTERS, contructs and artificial beings became a normal sight on the streets not long after. But these weren't the only new intelectuals that arose, for the one who would come to be known as THE GREAT INVENTOR was born around that time, bringing amazing creations at a very young age that greatly improved the lives of everyone in the city, his name would be known throughout the history of the exiles for evermore.
