  1. Neia The Undead joins Nazarick FANFIC v1.2.1
  2. ========================================================================================================================================
  3.
  4. >Jaldabaoth Invasion of Roble Kingdom is going as planned
  5. >Confronted Ainz and "defeated" him, placed a doppel in disguise as a body
  6. >Ainz is actually sitting comfortably in Nazarick, watches [Crystal Monitor]s excitedly as he anticipates who would make a move against SKAOG, now that news about his death are spreading
  7. >Enter Warboss Enri, now ~90lvl after marching entire Carne army all the way to HRK
  8. >Ainz loses his shit internally in the Throne Room: she brought whole damn WAAAGH with her, it seems that dwarves armed her with their whole arsenal too
  9. >Now that their benefactor was declared KIA - they all seem to have diamond revengeboners against Jaldabaoth
  10. >This wasn't the plan, some dumb mutt is going to get the paper for saying unnecessary things to the wrong people
  11. >Enri and gobs wreck Jaldabaoth shit for real: buffed army of gobs with Go-Gin and RedCaps as vanguard, armed with runic weapons and supported by archers\mages are nothing to sneeze at
  12. >It's serious enough that Jaldabaoth can't engage in a way that wouldn't left most of them dead, retreats while suffering minor injuries after feeling the water and getting permission from Nazarick
  13. >Warboss retrieves "Ainz'" body, Ainz is miraculously "resurrected", everyone is happy except for Remedios who's in Happy Farm and Kingdom temples who tried to incite revolt and now enjoy comfy freezer on the 6th Floor
  14. >Alas: Neia perished during the fight with Jaldabaoth along with part of Liberation Army: the area was pulverized with [Meteor Swarm] so there's no body left behind
  15. >But Ainz is having none of this: she was diligent, competent, sincere and generally fun to interact with, not to mention he groomed her as a poster girl for his future runic merch
  16. >Would be a bad rep if she died while wielding his bow: makes merch and SKAOG runesmiths looks weak
  17. >Not to mention Demiurge killed both of her parents so Ainz somewhat owes her for that
  18. >Teleports to battlefield, spell should have higher chance of success near the place of target's demise, takes out his hard, glowing 30cm white rod
  19. >"Hm, if it would be the same as with Shalltear..." prepares a cloak to cover her body
  20. >"I wonder if she would be willing to come back, there's no body and she can rise as undead due to that...in the past that Lizard Warrior rejected my spell until I asked Whitey to call for him"
  21. >Concentrates on his memories of time spent with Neia, activates [Resurrection] within the wand, feels how wand searches for a bit and then successfully targets Neia's Soul
  22. >"Haaah, Neia-san probably would refuse a resurrection from undead like myself and there's no one around to help to call her back..."
  23. >Feels Neia soul willingly latch on his spell like there's no tomorrow
  24. >Resurrects as [Zobmie] [Ranger] [Scout] [Servant], her complexion turnedpale with a bluish tinge, her hair turned completely white and eyes are pitch black, seemingly oozing with some substance like tar
  25. >Ainz covers her with a cloak prepared beforehand, Neia wobbles slightly and starts to slope down to the ground, Ainz catches her, holds her gently while supporting her waist and back of the head
  26. >"Mmmm...s-so this is resurrection, I've only heard of it in stories from my senpais...to think that your Majesty would bother with someone like me...I was surprised when I felt your gentle touch again...gentle touch?"
  27. "Indeed it is, you are back, be at ease. Are you alright? Does your body feel okay?"
  28. >Notices that Ainz is holding her, gets flustered and starts squirming and flailing her limbs, Ainz goes "Ah.." and lets her go, Neia flops on the ground, then immediately genuflects before him
  29. >"T-thank you for bringing this one back to life your Majesty! For that I owe you debt that I cannot possibly ever repay." cloak starts to slide away, Neia pulls it on again after panicking for a moment
  30. "Y-you are truly too kind to concern yourself this much even after resurrecting me...I feel fine, a bit weary, but I guess it is to be expected...although my skin color seem to be a bit paler now." looks at her hands with interest, a ground can be seen through them a bit
  31. >"Umu, well "life" you say, but It looks like I've caused you another inconvenience...you're now one of the undead, hated beings in your homeland."
  32. >"...yes, it would seem so"
  33. >"Do you not despise your existence? If you wish for it - I am willing to apologize for interrupting your hard-earned eternal rest and swiftly grant it to you again"
  34. >"There is no such thing! H-how could I possibly refuse the gift your majesty bestowed on me! Please allow me to keep it! Furthermore your Majesty is also one of the undead so it would be incredibly rude for me to refuse!"
  35. >"If that is your wish - I have no objections, but what will you do from now on? I don't think you can go back to being Paladin squire of the Holy Kingdom now...sorry again for that"
  36. >"P-please raise your head your Majesty! For someone as kind, merciful, wise and beau...to apologize after bothering to bring a commoner like me back into li..existence, you shouldn't!"
  37. >"You say that but I still failed you in a fight with Jaldabaoth, hm, how about this: consider us even, it might be arrogant of me after causing you such misfortune but...what do you say?"
  38. >"Y-yes! Although I cannot think of a way to thank you enough for care I am receiving and I don't think Your Majecti did anything wrong, if that is what you want - let it be so"
  39. >"B-but please allow me one request, this might be selfish and arrogant of me...but I would like to continue to serve as your squire. As you said: there's no place for me in the order and any vows are made were undone by my demise. I might be lacking, but I will strive to meet your standards and...demands...whatever they might be" looks to the side while stealing glances at Ainz and somehow blushing
  40. >"Hm, squire you say, that might be a bit...well I can hardly overlook a request from such a hard-working person like you, very well, I will take you as my subordinate. We will discuss your exact position later."
  41. >"There is however one thing we should decide: you are now undead, a "wild" one, of sorts. My undead subordinates are divided into three groups: ones that I summoned with my own power, those who obey me on their own volition and those who I forcefully dominated with my [Control Undead] skill, there are some others too but let's leave it at that for now."
  42. >"After you swear loyalty to me - you would belong to the second group. There are however certain benefits in [Controlling Undead]: such specimens...or individuals, in your case, gain powerful bonuses from tapping into Master's abilities, my abilities as Necromancer."
  43. >"In addition [Mental Link] is established between dominated undead and caster, me. It's not a perfect method of long-range communication, but it is still quite convenient."
  44. >"You don't have to worry about losing your personality or something, I've conducted plenty of experiments to confirm this point but how should I say...test subjects, all vile, malevolent undead, were not all too...enthusiastic about being dominated."
  45. >"There's the matter of eternal loyalty too: you WILL have to obey my orders, whatever they are, this bond also cannot ever be undone and if you, for some reason, decide to leave my side in futu..."
  46. >"Such time will never come! Ah!...I'm very sorry for interrupting you, I didn't mean to..." shoots up to Ainz while clutching her fists and looking straight into his face
  47. >Gets flustered after shouting louder than she expected and looks down in shame, takes dogeza pose
  48. >"Hahaha, cheh, passive again...ah it's nothing, do continue what you were saying, be at ease and let us speak without formalities, situation calls for at least this much"
  49. >"Y-yes! I would like to become stronger to serve your Majesty better! The bond...the link you described is also that I very much desi....I mean it would be very useful for you to make the most out of your servant. I trust that your Majesty would never order me anything that would cause me misery. Please use this ability of yours on me without reservation!" Neia somehow manages to blush, while clutching fists to her chest with a determined expression on her face
  50. >"It is my first t-time, I might be inexperienced but I will strive to accept your...power to the best of my ability...I was also prepared for it when Remedios...ah, sorry, it's nothing." for some reason blushes even brighter color of violet and opens a cloak she clutched tightly a bit on her chest
  51. >"...very well, I will now use my [Control Undead] on you: relax and accept it" - although I don't know if it will make any difference. thought Ainz.
  52. >Ainz uses his [Control Undead] ability, but it feels a bit strange, compared to his experiments on wild undead: it executes without any bothersome resistance coming from the target
  53. >Surprisingly Ainz feels this ability tries to tap into his mana pool, which never happened before neither in Yggdrasil nor in this world
  54. >It's not like Ainz cannot deny access to his mana, as he still feels total control over ability inside of himself, but in the end he decides to allow it, since it's a novelty he never experienced before
  55. >His mana diminishes almost by 70% by the time ability ran it's course, quite taxing, but there are no threats around and Nazarick security net was deployed over this region, so it should be okay to be left with only this much
  56. >Ability executed without any issue, looking over at Neia Ainz notices that her hair color changed to light violet and skin is now translucent green
  57. >Discreetly appraises her to see if there were changes other than purely cosmetic ones: [Undead Avenger] and [Archerdine] classes were added.
  58. >If Ainz recollection is correct - former one is sublcass of Banshee that granted abilities like [Silence], [Drain Constitution] and allowed to infuse attacks with negative energy while latter was a ranged version of Paladin class with healing and augmenting magic available to it.
  59. >Peculiar, Neia became quite an interesting specimen, on top of her diligent personality, it tickles Ainz' collector spirit: he feels like selfish decision to resurrect Neia paid off in full
  60. >Changes were probably triggered by all the hardships she endured in service of the Order and her recent growing affection of Ainz and undead in general.
  61. >Overall she seems to be around level 30 now, she was not anywhere near that before resurrection and this strange occurrence is something that will need to be investigated in detail later, potential benefits to Nazarick might be great
  62. >After his skill takes effect he feels a mental link established between him and Neia, he tugs on it in his mind and feels a confusion on the other side and then eager reaction seemingly meaning "Awaiting orders"
  63. >"Well this is new, we'll have to discuss this buil...power of yours later...for now - how do you feel, Neia-san? Is anything amiss?"
  64. >"...san! please just call me Neia, I'm not worthy of such respect from your Majesty! How do I feel...I feel good, great even, how should I put it...I feel more light, powerful, like strength is coursing through my blood...if I still have blood that is." smiles awkwardly while pressing lips together tightly
  65. >"Haha, such jokes are one of privileges of being undead, a boone if I may say so" covers his mouth for a bit with silent "uwaaah"
  66. >"Hehehe, ah...I noted this before, after we...I accompanied your Majesty within the carriage, but...I hope you can forgive me if this servant of yours is out of line..." takes a deep breath
  67. >"But despite you being such mighty individual and a leader of immensely powerful country - you are kind, humble and caring towards your subjects, even to someone like me with those mean eyes and useless sword skills..."
  68. >"...you are also very easy to talk to, and I mean it like a compliment! Not like someone as great as you woul...but I do not feel there are other monarchs or leaders like you, certainly not within our Kingdom" drops head dejectedly
  69. >Mumbles some bit about those ingrates trying to use such benevolent person under her breath
  70. >"Hoh, no others like me you say, that...is most probably true, I guess I have much to learn: perhaps I should spend more time sta....with my friend Jirciv-dono." clutches his chin in thought
  71. >"N-no! I didn't mean it that way! You are the best as you are now! While I don't know who is this esteemed Jircniv-dono you referred to as friend - I am certain nobody could be as benevolent and wise as you!"
  72. >"Hah, well if you say so...you do sound sincere and voice your thoughts unreserved, remember well that I appreciate those values in my subordinates, squire Neia Baraja. Now let us return, I will show you your new home. Many introductions are in order. Come close, I will now cast the teleportation spell."
  73. >"Y-yes, ok-kay, like so?" awkwardly stumbles closer to Ainz and leans to him while fidgeting, tries to breathe to the side to avoid tarnishing his luxurous robes with her breath, forgetting that she doesn't need to breathe anymore.
  74. >[Greater Teleportation]
