Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission Corruption Links (summary)

"This included, but was not limited to, CCC staff members being silenced for reporting serious abuse by upper management[1], reports that CCC management was "union busting" it's own staff members[2], allegations that some CCC staff had a "playbook" to take out problematic Commissioners (and uncooperative upper management) who attempted to reform that culture[3], acts of retaliation against the press for covering said misconduct [4], Commissioners threatening to report each other for violating the law (related to an attempt to strip the acting agency Executive Director of her powers at a June, 2024, public meeting)[5] and, shockingly, an attack on the authority of the state's Inspector General, in recent days [6].

That series of events led to a Tuesday hearing on Beacon Hill where the OIG, and multiple lawmakers, called the CCC --at its highest levels-- a "desperate" agency "seeking to hide" information from the public by not cooperating with the OIG's investigation [7]."
