- THANK YOU TWITCH Edition
- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- I usually have reasons to complain to Twitch about how their stuff… works… only sometimes. This time, however, Twitch did a good—a very, very good. The VOD highlight system was recently buffed to allow videos to be made instantly with multiple segments of a VOD stitched together.
- If you don’t highlight Twitch videos regularly, you might have no idea how much of a quality of life change this is. I always wanted semi-proper intros and outros for my regular stream highlights, but the only to do it from Twitch would have been to send multiple videos to YouTube and join them there… or spend hours rendering multiple videos with the joined parts together in Vegas Pro. In fact, my stream archives of the incentive playthroughs each spent hours in overnight rendering sessions in Vegas Pro in order to take out the sections of downtime in each video and hours of uploading to YouTube. I no longer have to do any of that (so long as #PoopNet does not strike, leaving the Twitch videos fully intact). I can finally let Twitch do all of the work and save me about 8-10 hours of grief--and that’s if everything goes well. I can also more easily add more to my regular highlights and make them more welcoming and more “YouTube-friendly” in a sense.
- Unfortunately, I still have one more Tetrisphere video to render myself. I should have put it up yesterday, but life happens and distractions happen so it will be up next weekend. I’ll also be spending my Thursday and Friday this week putting GDQ submission videos together after doing another Pokemon Puzzle Challenge grind Monday-Wednesday. One of these days I should do an extended grind of PPC on the weekend in the hopes that having extra time with the game will be enough to put it behind me for a while. I kinda have an itch to get back to Pokemon Puzzle League and start taking back the records I have lost.
- Before I go, in other stream news, I have changed the next subscriber goal from Rhino Rumble runs to a PPC Easy-Intense run. It’s clear that my audience wants puzzles and not fire-breathing rhinos so this is my way of offering more puzzles. I have also added two FrankerFaceZ emotes to my channel: Ayyy (Lakitu’s Tetris Attack portrait-- https://www.frankerfacez.com/emoticon/317757-Ayyy) and OMGFail (Kyu Sugardust’s face-- https://www.frankerfacez.com/emoticon/317764-OMGFail). And yes, they each make their appropriate sounds.
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
