  1. Backstory: Kachina was born to a local native tribe and grew up a quiet, introspective girl. She didn't speak much to others, preferring to spend her time watching the world about her or spying on the odd arrivals to her tribes lands. However no child, skilled or not can stay hidden forever. Found by foreigner children, she was bullied mercilessly and not allowed to leave for hours until a travelling lawman interrupted and kindly took her back to her tribe. She was surprised to find this lawman was not only know to her tribe but respected by them.
  2. After that day, she snuck back regularly to speak with the lawman and hear stories about the land his people came from. He taught her to shoot and to speak the languages of his people, the girl proving to be a very skilled linguist. She spoke with some of the local children, proving herself to them and to them to her.
  3. She was not long an adult when word came to her tribe that the old lawman had passed away. He had been getting slower as time went on but he'd always seemed immortal to her. Unfortunately, a bandit gang proved it otherwise. He was found surrounded by their bodies, having died doing his duty. In his will he had left her his pistol and his badge, something she'd always found fascinating to play with and watch it glint in the sunlight.
  4. To honour his memory and to prove herself worthy of such a gift, she set off to walk in his footsteps for a time. She's still not sure why but she felt the badge drawing her another foreigner town, Rosewater. From there...she's not sure. She remembers a man in a white suit, the badge being torn from her shirt and gunfire. She's not sure where it is now but she cannot honour the promise she made to his memory without it. She needs to get that badge back or she could never face him in his next life, she would be too ashamed.
