GLIBATHON X: The 2020 Announcement

GLIBATHON X ANNOUNCEMENT

If you haven't already seen the video, or are just REALLY into reading Pastebins, I'm gonna go over the basics of Glibathon X, as well as break down a few of the things I hadn't had ironed out when I made the original video announcement, so here we go.

WHAT IS GLIBATHON X?
Glibathon X is a 9 day (possibly more) long marathon in which I'm going to attempt to clear the majority of the 3D Marios and a couple other Mario games. In case you want the full list, in the order I'll be playing them:

Super Mario 3D World - 380 Stars
Super Mario 64 DS - 150 Stars
Super Mario Galaxy 1 - 121 Stars
Super Mario Sunshine - 120 Shines
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 242 Stars
Super Mario Odyssey - 999 Moons
Super Mario RPG - 7 Stars
Mario Party 3 - Become the Superstar (close enough)

If you aren't a math whiz, that comes out to 2020 celestial bodies I'll be collecting. (whoa, hey, that's what year it is, that's neat) If you're a fan of LackAttack24, and you should be, you'll notice this is EERILY similar to the 2019 he did at the end of last year into this, and it is lol. I do wanna say big shoutouts to him for helping me with some tips and whatnot as I've been setting this up.

BUT WHY?
I've had this week planned for quite some time now. I really wanted to try and do the "2019" in 2019, but just didn't have the time to commit to it, and I'm not gonna let another opportunity for some good times playing good Mario games slip by. But with everything that's been going on recently, I thought I could also use this as a chance to help people in need. So, during the entire event, I'll be raising money for Hunger Task Force! All subs/bits/donations etc. will go straight to Hunger Task Force to help all the work they do. So I've got 2 different things set up, incentives and a bid war!

INCENTIVES AND BID WAR
I'm going to try something a little different this time around with incentives. While I am trying to raise money for Hunger Task Force, times are tough for everyone, and I don't want to feel like anyone *has* to donate to get involved. Luckily, the new(ish) channel points system helps with this! Instead of putting incentives and the bid war to strictly dollar amounts, I'm going to set them all to points, allowing people to donate their hard earned Glibbux™ to whatever silly thing they want to see me do, or toward any character they wanna see in Mario Party Story Mode. I'll start at with 4 incentives available, each for a total of 25,000 points, and once one gets met, another will get added! If this ends up being too much, too little, I might adjust it, but I think for now it's a good spot. I'm also limiting people to 5k Glibbux™ a stream set toward incentives so that the whales don't just snipe a bunch at the beginning lol. The bid war has no limit, so if you wanna dump a billion Glibbux™ to make me a #DonkeyMain, go ahead. When it comes to any monetary support, each dollar spent will count towards 100 points to BOTH an incentive and the bid war. This will probably be much less confusing than I'm making it sound, and there's a nice little spreadsheet that should hopefully clear up any confusion. If all you wanna do is watch me stumble through Mario games that's fine too :)

WHEN? HOW? WHERE?
The fun starts this Saturday, April 18th, at 11 AM ET, with a full SM3DW 380 Star race with the aforementioned LackAttack and some other GAMERS along for the ride too. If you've watched any of the previous races we've done in the last couple months, you'll know they're a lot of fun for everyone involved, so I'm excited to kick this all off with this! Then throughout the week, I'll be doing 2 4-6 hour sessions each day up through Sunday, April 26th. I'll just go through the games and as I finish each game, I'll just fire up the next one. Gonna do my best to not get too burnt out with this, so if I gotta take a session off, I might. Also, if it's looking like I have to push something back, I'm not gonna worry about it. I'll keep people posted about changes in the schedule, but for now I'm going to plan on streaming every day from the 18th-26th, and hopefully by the end of the night on Sunday we'll be watching the Mario Party 3 credits.

I guess that's it. Gonna be a lot of fun, I hope, at the very least you are excited for this as I am! Lotsa Mario games, lotsa fun times, maybe even lotsa money raised for charity. :)
