A Leopard And A Nest

Ossifer has entered the area.
Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at Ossifer hopefully.
The Master Ravenwood Tree suddenly flares with pulsating energy as Ossifer steps through.

Ossifer begins to wield a pair of glassblade gloves in their left hand.

Ossifer tosses a pair of glassblade gloves to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, and she catches it nimbly.

Ossifer flutters up into a branch.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard lifts her gaze up from cleaning her paw to look up at the branch.

Lifting her head, Ilistala looks at Ossifer hopefully.
The body of Nascent Ossifer, Attendant to the Wyrd appears in a flash and their soul descends to fill it, causing the previously expressionless face to fill with emotion.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard blinks.

Ossifer does not blink.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard sniffs at the gloves, looking quite puzzled.

Ossifer quirks their lips slightly in what might either be a frown or a smile.

Ossifer watches Ilistala, an enormous leopard.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard sinks her fangs into the gloves, shaking them vigorously, and the woven grass begins to separate apart until all that remains are bits of glassblades floating in the air.

Ossifer ponders.

Ossifer begins to wield a pair of glassblade gloves in their left hand.

Ossifer tosses a pair of glassblade gloves to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, and she catches it nimbly.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard stares at the second pair of gloves, then looks at Ossifer, then back at the gloves. She drops them on the ground, and then sits on them.

Ossifer quirks their lips slightly in what might either be a frown or a smile.

Ossifer begins to wield a wooden lute in their left hand.

Lifting a paw to her mouth, Ilistala, an enormous leopard begins to noisily clean herself.

Ossifer drops a wooden lute.

Ossifer peers over the edge of their branch.

The lute appears to be riddled with holes, as if insects have been eating away at it in the short time since it fell to the ground.

Ossifer flutters cautiously to the ground to collect bits of grassblades and softened scraps of lute wood.

The lute looks almost as if it will fall apart at the touch, but somehow manages to retain its cohesiveness when scooped up.

Ossifer flutters back into the trees with their bounty and sets about building a nest.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard looks up curiously, ceasing her grooming.  She leaps up into the trees on a nearby branch and lounges there, avidly watching the construction.

Ossifer pauses for a moment at the arrival of the cat, but continues their working. Their eyes flit back to Ilistala, an enormous leopard periodically.

Her tail hanging down, swaying with the tip curled slightly, Ilistala, an enormous leopard continues to observe the progress with great interest.

Ossifer finishes their nest and climbs inside, long limbs folded awkwardly to fit. They fix their unblinking eyes on Ilistala, an enormous leopard.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard climbs back to her feet and leaps to the be-nested branch, walking slowly towards it.  When she arrives, she extends her head forward, nose sniffing at it curiously.

Ossifer sniffs Ilistala, an enormous leopard, trying to decipher just what that smell emanating from her is.

Ossifer does blink.

Reaching a hand out, long, bony fingers clutching it, Ossifer gives a rainbow heart-shaped candy to Ilistala, an enormous leopard.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard looks from the nest down to you, then back at Ossifer within it. At the blink, she responds with a blink of her own, both large eyes closing for just a moment. Then she twists her head to look up at a dark shape high above. Bunching her muscles, she leaps up, disappearing into the branches far above.

Ossifer relaxes their posture slightly, sinking deeper into the nest.

The nest in the trees above shakes, sounds of scratching and clawing emanating from within.

Ossifer reclines further, looking up into the higher branches.

Suddenly reappearing, Ilistala, an enormous leopard drops back onto the branch. She walks over to the nest and opens her mouth, depositing a large hunk of carrion into it. She gives you another look.

You say to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, "Not every nest need be filled with carrion, you know. Especially not carrion stolen from me."

Ossifer's eyes dilate slightly at these words. They clutch the carrion chunk and begin flapping, bearing the carrion aloft towards you.

Ossifer deposits the carrion chunk back in your nest.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard looks upward, watching, appearing almost as if she is sulking.

You say to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, "It will be all right."

You pat Ilistala, an enormous leopard in a friendly manner.

Ossifer pets Ilistala, an enormous leopard ingratiatingly.

You say to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, "Let us leave them alone for a time to enjoy their nest, yes?"

Ossifer flutters into their nest.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard leans into the patting hand for a moment before reluctantly pulling away to follow you.
