Yeseul's family isn't the richest or the most well off. But they got by. They were happy to be around each other. Yeseul's mother is very strict and they often get in arguments when she doesn't let Yeseul do things that she really wants to do. Yeseul really wanted to dance when she was young, but her mother didn't allow her. She wasn't aware of the family's financial situation until middle school. She then began helping around the house and making money in anyway she could.
