Faint Gaming picked up a forfeit win against "kronge realm" and rolled "OK Kids" 5-0 in 12 minutes in their first week of season 28 action.  There's little reason to believe they still aren't number one, considering the invite capable players on their team.  Their matches in Week 2 against Sporadic eSports and Midnight Society should further demonstrate the capability they have to dominate teams.  It will be interesting to see third seeded Sporadic take on the invite team and see if they can chip away any rounds.


2.) mr_popo_rocks (3-0) --

Stand-ins: *Sideways Whoopi Goldberg (1 match)

With the new introduction of a new map veto system and cp_cardinal_rc1a into the ESEA mappool, mr_popo_rocks beat a low ranked "Murk And The Scribes" team 5-1 in 20 minutes.  The best way to play the map is still being felt out by the community and the determination of whether cardinal is a wanted competitive map is questioned by many.  Mr_popo_rocks snatched a forfeit win against "Estrogen Took My Homie" and claimed a 4-0 against "Granma making me fat" as one of the first matches in Week 2 play.  Despite dropping a round to a low ranked team, it was on the new map in cardinal which should be taken lightly for the lack of experience playing on it.


3.) Sporadic eSports (2-0) --

Soldiers: Goku & hayes
Demo: ambroon
Medic: Phantom

Stand-ins: dippidy (2 matches), lunacide (1 match)

Sporadic battled a 5-2 victory against Every_Villain_Is_Lemons on cp_cardinal_rc1a and a 5-1 success against Pancake-Waffle Rifle on cp_gullywash_final1.  Despite some roster instability through the first week, they managed to pull out convincing wins and only dropped a limited amount of rounds.  Dominant play from ambroon against EVIL, and powerful soldier play from Goku & hayes on gullywash, make them perfect through a week of play.  In Week 2, they play Faint Gaming and Kings Crew TF2, two matches that should be competitive and should nail down Sporadic's position.


4.) WXVY DIVISION (2-0) --

With a 5-2 win over SLIME TIME and a forfeit win picked up against dead team, DRAGONWARRIOR12, WXVY DIVISION stays where they are in the rankings.  As predicted, the play from their combo, led by fabulous, was fenomenal.  Despite out fragging SLIME TIME 113-76, SLIME TIME managed to scrap away two rounds.


5.) Kings Crew TF2 (2-0) --

The crew of kings won a dragged out match against Murk And The Scribes 5-1 and a close 5-3 against Chinchilla Champions. Their upcoming match against Sporadic eSports should be interesting to watch and will determine whether they can compete with the top teams in Intermediate.


6.) Every_Villain_Is_Lemons (1-1) --

After losing to Sporadic eSports 2-5 on cardinal and only beating low ranked delicious activity 5-3, they've decided to make some roster changes.  The inexperience of emo must have been too much of a problem as he has been asked to step down/cut, according to his newly bumped lft post.  In his place, they've picked up dippidy from DRAGONWARRIOR12, which is now a dead team.  I keep them at the same ranking position because I feel that dippidy, who is a much more experienced player, will perform better than emo.  EVIL's matches against SLIME TIME and Faint Gaming this week should determine the level they will be able to compete at.


7.) AyyLmao HAppyBoi squad (2-0) --

Stand-ins: M0NSTA (1 match)

The AyyLmao squad claimed a 35 minute 5-3 victory over codywrestleryoutube2 on gullywash and a forfeit win over dead team, DRAGONWARRIOR12.  After going down 0-3 in the first half against codywrestleryoutube2, they scored 5 rounds without contention to close out the game.  Perhaps the first game jitters got the best of them, but after settling down, they were able to focus and beat the cody wrestlers.  Their matches against SLIME TIME and Granma makin me fat in Week 2 will definitely put the squad in their place and see if they can stay consistent.


8.) Granma makin me fat (2-1), ▲ 1

Stand-ins: carcin (1 match), Hellbent (1 match)

With a quick 4-0 win over the UwUcrew, forfeit win over SLIMETIME, and an expected loss to mr_popo_rocks on product, this team moves up a ranking due to DRAGONWARRIOR12 dying.  Matches in week 2 against AyyLmao HAppyBoi squad and Sporadic eSports will determine if they can compete with the top Intermediate teams, potentially enough to move them up a ranking.


9.) Chinchilla Champions (2-1), ▲ 1

With a standout performance from Hedgehog Hero, the rodents pulled a convincing 4-0 win over codywrestleryoutube2 on product.  Later in the week, with another great performance from Hedge, they battled a close match with Kings Crew TF2, but fell short 3-5 on snakewater.  The team has the potential to compete with higher ranked teams, but in order to do so they need to be there for their demo who seems to be doing the most work for them.  As their first match in Week 2, they've been one of the couple teams whose gotten a free win from the death of DRAGONWARRIOR2.  Their match against kronge realm should be competitive, as these teams are ranked closely to each other.


10.) kronge realm (1-1), ▲ 1

Not much to say about this team since they forfeit lost to Faint Gaming and got a forfeit win against DRAGONWARRIOR12.  They've picked up zheep, a player who has many seasons in Intermediate under his belt.  Their match against Chinchilla Champions should be very interesting and will determine which deserves the higher ranking.


11.) SLIME TIME (0-2), ▲ 1

The slimy boys lost an unfortunate match by forfeit to Granma makin me fat, unable to field five players according to match comms.  Shortly afterwards, the picked up brazilian player, legit, who, after winning 3rd place last season with Sporadic eSports, decided to take a very short break but is now back to play scout.  With their shuffled roster by putting goldfish on demo and legit on scout, they lost a 30 minute match to WXVY DIVISION by a score of 2-5.  With strong performances from jetz and goldfish, the rest of the SLIME TIME crew weren't able to do much work, getting outfragged 76-113 by the top seeded team.  Their matches against AyyLmao HAppyBoi squad and Every_Villain_Is_Lemons will be good tests for them to see where they stand.


12.) The Midnight Society (2-0), ▲ 3

They beat Pancake-Waffle Rifle 5-3 and neet dogs, who was previously ranked higher than them, 5-2.  Their inconsistent roster keeps the opponent guessing and it will be interesting to see how they do against higher level teams in the future. I expect them to snatch a win against OK Kids and get rolled by Faint Gaming in Week 2.

The neet dogs won against delicious activity 5-2 in 30 minutes and lost to Midnight Society 2-5.  Their matches in week 2 against Pancake-Waffle Rifle and Murk And The Scribes will determine whether their current position is consistent with their performances.


14.) Pancake-Waffle Rifle (0-2) ▲ previously unranked

These guys lost 3-5 to Midnight Society in 30 minutes and it was a decently close game.  They lost to Sporadic eSports 1-5 on gullywash.

This group lost to Chinchilla Champions 4-0 on product and AyyLmao HAppyBoi squad 3-5.  They were leading the game 3-0 after the first half against AyyLmao before they came back and scored 5 straight rounds.


16-20.) UwUcrew, OK Kids, Murk And The Scribes, delicious activity, Estrogen Took My Homie



It's tough to put the teams at positions 14-20 at definite spots, it seems like it's anyone's game in low Intermediate.
