  3. Macaria is one of the potential antagonists in the AU universe. A vigorous but averse Harpy Eagle who’s often stereotyped for being one of the deadliest creatures, which is painfully true.
  4.
  5.
  6. She hides her tense nature so other birds wouldn’t be so apprehensive of her, even though a particular bird must be afraid of such a huge and dangerous species. Despite that, she never lets her guard down when the time is right.
  7.
  8.
  9. She’s a friend of Thiago, a moderately friendly Philippine Eagle who enjoys being around Macaria. They were victims of animal traffickers who had worked together to capture the two eagles and kept them in cages together.
  10.
  11.
  12. Although they had a rough start with one another, eventually a friendly bond grew between them. They escaped one day by striking their poachers once they had opened their cages accidentally.
  13.
  14.
  15. Throughout the story, the two distinct eagles soon meet Hernando and his friends, whom, during the start, were afraid of them.
  16.
  17.
  18. When he told the duo about what they were planning to do, it gave Macaria and Thiago the idea to help free the supposed macaws that were living in captivity; Or, in their minds, confinement.
  19.
  20.
  21. This plot’s only one simple sub-plot to it about Macaria and Thiago.
  22.
  23.
  24. However, it will not prevent the plot’s focus.
  25.
  26.
  27. The current plot, at the moment, is about Hernando and friends going on a journey across the country to find the rest of his species, whom he had heard was living over 7,000 miles away from where they were at. Facing though trials, obstacles, and past thoughts, the crew ends up discovering with more they could handle.
  28.
  29.
  30. The subplot talks about Macaria and Thiago, who ends up joining with them to the journey, mainly to free the macaws instead of visiting them to see if they were really in living in captivity, as of what Hernando wanted to do.
  31.
  32.
  33. It takes a while for the group to get used to the two, as they were reluctantly bigger. Thiago gains their trusts faster than Macaria since she was aggressive and negative to them at first.
  34.
  35.
  36. Halfway throughout the plot, Thiago began changing in mood, often going from depressed to anger, to then feeling immense solitude. She assumes his natural instincts were kicking back in. Macaria tries to confront Thiago, but he refuses her help. He was suddenly calm once again, back to his bright smiles and joyous attitude.
  37.
  38.
  39. They then reveal he wanted to steal the macaws and force them back into the forest, as his anger towards the human was finally appearing, but he only showed his intense emotions to someone he could trust; Macaria.
  40.
  41.
  42. Despite how this sub-plot seems more focused on than the main plot, it will not, and I repeat, will not overrun the original plot system.
  43.
  44.
  45. The full plot and sub-plot is still underway and a work in progress.
