  1. I had a dream once where I managed to use the FFXIV Sandbox Client to make a version of FFXI's Windurst. Modding the client heavily to have refreshed features similar to FFXI.. But with hotbars/etc. Using the FFXI style of HUD/UI, more PlayOnline-styled blue, and square with white borders. Re-texturing the mini-map to look more like the XIVDB Map Plugin from Windower. Instead of coordinates below the mini-map, there would be Letter - Number in the white/blue style rather than the golden style of FFXIV. The circles for the main menu would also be blue + white instead of gold/brown.
  2.
  3. The targeting link arrows/lines enemies would have would be styled like they are in FF12 instead of FFXIV's simple design. More shimmer and glow. Enemy selection circles would be a triangle shape rather than circular. Enemy aggressive indicators would show a speaker icon, eye icon or a normal burst/star icon with red/blue color depicting their aggressiveness. NMs would have no icon at all and instead have a Star symbol or the Boss FATE Symbol. (NMs also would not show their level.) In addition, enemies would have a second icon above their head that showed how close they are in level to your character. (Enemies would still spawn with level ranges.) Red Arrow meant it's much higher. White Arrow means it is around your level. No arrow means it is too weak for you to gain experience. The arrow would integrate into the over-head target arrow FFXIV normally has. Enemies would *not* show an AoE telegraph for any attacks. However, enemy AoE attacks will instead cause the enemy to adjust directly at its target and begin slightly (barely noticeable) glowing to indicate an AoE will occur. Enemy will not turn either, to further help players distinguish AoEs from normal attacks.

  5. Icons next to player names would indicate their status as per FFXIV but, additional status markers like a bag symbol for Bazaar (Looking for Trade, etc.) would be added. Player examining would show a player card with their current job/level, bust, and list their job levels and a search info section. It would look more like an ID card. A button would be placed on it to switch to show gear/equipment and a full sized preview of their character. When examining a character, a Bazaar option will also appear to check what they are offering. (Bazaar items become locked to allow for this. A window dialog will appear with a list of items and what gil value they would want listed next to them.)
  6.
  7. Item icons would change to be similar to that of FFXIV 2.0 Alpha to match the similar design with FFXI icons. In addition, tooltips would become more simplified. Showing only a description, if they were Exclusive/Rare and a new icon that showed if they were untradable or not. Refresh looking symbol that would be greyed out or not exist if it was tradable. Since equipment has no durability, the durability bar would be instead the charge/enchantment bar. The second spiritbond bar would change into the recast timer bar. There would be, instead of the text in the bottom right that showed this information normally, a line of text that would say how much gil the item sells for to NPCs. (Only visible once you attempt to sell it to an NPC. This is stored client-side. A red question mark will appear next to it if the client detects that the price has changed.) The lower left of the tooltip for a piece of gear would show if an Evolith is installed or not. Holding ALT while hovering over said item will display Evolith information.
