DEGARUTA! Episode 01: Summoned to Another World? Our Heroes are Forced to Read
    Xavier and Mike are 2 assholes on the internet, in their mid thirties both are weebs who read a lot of books. While the Hero Summoning ritual is only supposed to summon 1 hero and while they are in the prime of their life, due to a miscalculation and someone sneezing during the chant, both are brought during their 30s.

	Having been well versed in various isekai media, both are quick on the uptake and are quick to understand their situation, and are not shocked when the King, Court Wizard, and the Kings 3 Daughters approach, asking for their aid. The fact that the 2 are obviously in terrible physical shape perplexes everyone however the Court Wizard pretends that this is fine and not his fault. Explaining that his skill is so great that instead of summoning one hero, he summoned 2 with no increase in Mana expended.

	The King tells them of the threat to his Kingdom, of the coming of the Demon Lord, and the fall of the Western Nations to the demonic scourge. He asks for their help. Xavier and Mike huddle up and discuss options, and what they should say next, Xavier suggests finding out what they get in return, Mike agrees but says they should negotiate for something better once they find out. They demand to know what's in it for them, the King had planned to offer his oldest daughter who is of marriageable age to the hero if he was successful, however since 2 have appeared, he is willing to offer her to the one who lands the killing blow on the demon lord, and his second daughter to the other when she reaches marriageable age in another year.

	The two hold out for cash advances to get gear and recruit party members, promise of lands and castles, something called a Randarung. The pair are unsure what the last one is but agree to take it because it sounds expensive. The two would be heroes forget to ask if there is a way back to their respective world and time period, and neglect to research which of the two was actually the summoned hero and who was merely brought along for the ride mysteriously. The two are escorted out of the summoning chamber and brought to their own private quarters, after a banquet in their honor, they call it a night. They have a long day ahead of them tomorrow.
