Hidden glade market.
Dense white clouds have spread completely across the sky. A number of briar rose bushes grow at theedges of the glade, enclosing it in a thick, thorny ring that is difficult to traverse without injury. Rising from the leaves is a subtle fragrance, sweet as apples, which permeates the meadow with its rustic stalls and shelves that house various items for sale. Tall birch trees rise from among the briars, their whorled eyes overlooking the area like silent guardians. A painting of cookie-bound bliss has been enshrined on a shelf here, festooned with flowers and leaf garlands and a trail of mouldy cookie crumbs. Her olive skin glowing with beauty, Duethielle Landrennbenn sings to herself. Shimmering with a stately posture, Olikai Clawheart floats in the air. A mature hornbeam tree stands proudly here. Wings humming, Miaei Wildbriar hovers in midair. Binky Tailsnap stands here, his soft nose and whiskers lifted thoughtfully. Whiskers twitching, Binky Tailsnap exclaims to you, "Hello! I... there are so many cookies here!"

You have emoted: Lief pauses, stooping for a moment to reclaim her breath again, then laughs as she straightens. "Yes," she beams. "Gurashi and his friend Tridemon were here with me earlier, but I think you were all very busy!" She beams at Binky Tailsnap. "I have a gift for you!"

Grasping long, ropy tail in his little hands, Binky Tailsnap asks, "A gift?" His bright eyes gleam curiously at you. "More than the cookies from Gurashi and friend?"

You have emoted: Lief nods her antlered head brightly. "I've been hanging onto this for a long time," she says as she rummages about her things, "because things were just so very busy for me! I had to prepare for my wedding, and then I got *married*, and..."

Binky Tailsnap claps his hands together merrily.

Pleasingly plump, this petite origami perfectly resembles a gloriously golden tae'dae. The thin golden vellum has been folded in such a way to make it appear as though the chubby tae'dae has waves of soft fur, folds giving them a delightfully textured feel. Their arms are wrapped around their stomach, hiding the seams that allow access to inside the origami. Moving the arms out of the way allows one to place a single item inside the plump tae'dae's tummy. Extra folds have been placed near the mouth of the tae'dae, allowing it to appear to speak when imbued with magic ink.

I confess, I never, ever thought - but I am happily married now!" Cupping the origami in her palms, she steps a bit closer to Binky Tailsnap, allowing the tae'dae to perch in her outstretched palms. "It's not all the right color, but it looks like them, doesn't it?"

Beaming as she looks up from the origami, you say to Binky Tailsnap, "It is from Aschwar."

Carefully offering it forward, you give an intricate tae'dae origami to Binky Tailsnap.

Binky Tailsnap takes the intricate tae'dae origami in his little hands. "From Aschwar??!" He cradles the folded paper in his cupped palms, lips falling open. "It looks like them very much! They made it? They wanted to give it to me??"

You have emoted: "They say they don't know how to find you to mail it to you directly," Lief confesses in a low voice, "so they asked me to give it to you." She bounces back onto her heels, her bare feet crunching in the remnants of snow from the earlier snowstorm.

Binky Tailsnap places the origami carefully on a shelf next to the enshrined painting, weighting its base down with little stones. Turning back to you, he asks, "You went to visit them? How are they?"

You have emoted: Lief's cheeks flush suddenly, and apparently not from the cold. She folds her hands innocuously behind her back and gazes up through the leaves of the trees clustered here, and she says, "Ah... drunk on honey mead, last I saw them." She clears her throat. "Eighteen bottles of it, by their Elder's count." She flashes a sudden smile onto Binky Tailsnap, beaming anew. "But they were very happy!"

Eyes widening, Binky Tailsnap says, "Drunk?! In happiness? What has made them so happy?"

You have emoted: "I think the mead did!" Lief confesses with a laugh, unweaving her hands from behind her back to cup her freckled cheek. "From the sounds of it, it was mmmmaybe their first time ever drinking something with alcohol in it? I feel a little bad that they drank so much, though. They were impressed by the wedding mead I'd put together, and decided to find more, and figured it must be okay because they knew your nuts were tasty and good."

Her voice low, you say to Binky Tailsnap, "I don't think they realized what would happen with too much mead."

Concerned, Binky Tailsnap asks, "Are they all right? They haven't drunk too much have they? They haven't fallen over?" His voice rises to a squeak.

You have emoted: "They had a lot of pillows to fall over into!" Lief bites on her bottom lip, then beams at Binky Tailsnap while lowering her hand to gesture soothingly. "They are very safe now, though. I just, ah. Worry about the headache that's to come."

You have emoted: All of Lief's movements have caused a hooded coat of striking rainbow hues to slip from her shoulders, and she absently gathers it up to settle it back in place, still smiling  reassuringly at Binky Tailsnap.

Clutching his tail tightly, Binky Tailsnap exclaims, "Someone must bring them water! And take care of them!"

Bouncing on the toes of her feet, you ask Binky Tailsnap, "Everyone will! I think Gurashi will know right away when they have a headache - maybe they can bring you to help them when they do?"

Binky Tailsnap says, "I would- I would..." He pauses, considering. "But they live in the realm of a Divine, don't they?" His whiskers twitch. "That is a secret and special place?"

You have emoted: Lief clasps her hands together, cupping a piece of amber bearing peach petals between them both over her kimono's lap. "It is a special place," she agrees, "but I got to visit the other day to make sure they were okay, and Aschwar seemed very happy to see me and everyone even so!"

Beaming, you say to Binky Tailsnap, "Because it is special, I think they would be *very* happy to see you there and share that with you."

Binky Tailsnap beams, his whiskers shifting with the smile. He turns back to the shrine and picks up the origami again, holding it tightly as if it might blow it away at any moment.

Squinting, Binky Tailsnap says, "I think there is something written on here."

You say to Binky Tailsnap, "If you open it, it will go away, but if it was like mine, there was a present inside!"

Crestfallen, whiskers drooping, Binky Tailsnap says, "But if I open it, it won't look like them anymore."

You have emoted: Lief murmurs thoughtfully to herself, then pulls out a roomy, mandala-embroidered blue silk backpack to rummage thoughtfully around.

Smiling up at Binky, you say to Binky Tailsnap, "It's not folded by Aschwar, but by one of their friends - but I have one that looks *just* like it if you'd like it."

Binky Tailsnap nods his head enthusiastically at you.

You have emoted: Lief's wings flutter excitedly behind her, stirring the coat draped over her shoulders. "Then it will be safer with you," she declares, "with how often I travel and everything."

Beaming as she offers it forward, you give an intricate tae'dae origami to Binky Tailsnap.

Binky Tailsnap exclaims, "I will keep it then. I-" He pauses. His voice squeaks, "You noticed? I don't mean to keep all their things. They're just so - pretty!"

You have emoted: Lief steps back again, nodding, her eyes sparkling with warm colors as she looks from Binky Tailsnap to his collection nearby. "I am much the same," she admits. "I want to save every little kindness from people that I love so I may look upon all of them and feel happy all over again."

Binky Tailsnap takes the second origami and places it next to the enshrined painting. He carefully replaces the stones to weigh down the origami's base. The little plump tae'dae stares up at the painting.

You have emoted: Lief cups her freckled cheek again, smiling as she regards the origami's place among everything. "I think it looks perfect there."

Binky Tailsnap now turns his attention to the original origami in his hands. He gingerly opens it, his expression full of awe. The tae'dae unfolds and sings from its magic ink painted lips some words for the mouse-kin's ears only. Then it flutters apart in wisps of vellum and disappears from his palms, leaving a tiny honeycake.

You have emoted: Lief clasps her hands together, her piece of amber still cupped in her palms as she beams at Binky Tailsnap, her eyes bright.

Binky Tailsnap's lips fall open. "They have been baking!" He squeaks, the sticky confection clutched in his fingers.

You have emoted: Lief nods her antlered head eagerly, her eyes sparkling. "Maybe you inspired them!"

Binky Tailsnap closes his eyes and inhales at the treat. He turns, as if to place the confection at the base of the painting. But then he sees the honey on his fingers. Shaking his head, he reluctantly says, "I should eat it."

You think to yourself: I hope all of this makes Binky happy. He deserves to be happy. Asch will be so happy if he's happy.

You have emoted: Lief nods her antlered head eagerly at Binky Tailsnap. "They've been eating your present, after all," she says with another bounce on her toes against the cold earth. "You'd be sad if they weren't, right?"

Binky Tailsnap takes a big bite from the honeycake, chewing happily. Crumbs linger along the base of his whiskers.

Through a mouthful, Binky Tailsnap says to you, "Ms. Lief! Mmmf. Could you please tell Gurashi to tell Aschwar thank you and it is delicious? Mmff. And that I will visit them when their head hurts?"

You have emoted: Lief nods her antlered head, looking over at a painting of cookie-bound bliss. "I would be very, very happy to tell them both these things." She turns from the painting to beam at Binky Tailsnap once more. "Maybe you can tell them thank you yourself, though, if their headache  isn't too terribly bad."

Binky Tailsnap looks somewhat nervous, but he nods his head, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. Behind him, his tail, curls and lifts to rise above his head.

You have emoted: Lief gathers her strangely colorful coat up about her shoulders to free her wings to flare out and hum. "Let us know if we can get anything for you before your meeting," she grins. "If you want to bring anything - everybody has their own cures for mead headaches."

Binky Tailsnap bows low, holding both hands out from his sides. "Thank you, Ms. Lief!!" Rising, he beams once more, wiping his whiskers. "I am happy that you visited!"

You nod your head enthusiastically at Binky Tailsnap.

Confidingly, still grinning, you say to Binky Tailsnap, "My cure for too much mead is more mead, but I don't think the Beloved will be happy with my suggestions."

You giggle happily.

Binky Tailsnap exclaims, "Water. Water is what my mother taught me!"

You have emoted: Lief nods her antlered head, beaming broader still. "I will let Gurashi know all of this!" she promises.
