Hazbin Hotel - the Thrones

Had an idea for how the Thrones would work. Basically, the Thrones would serve as a means for God to interface with Heaven without annihilating it.

See, God is just too powerful. Even in Heaven he can only make sweeping changes when he intervenes directly, and most of them result in mass destruction.
Enter the Thrones, God’s chariots, cursors and scalpels.

The Thrones give God the ability to observe things at a much closer level, and be much more precise when making changes.

Like their biblical counterparts, they’re often described as a bunch of blindingly bright wheels with eyes. They’re nigh indestructible and can move wherever and however they’re needed. They can expand themselves to be larger than the observable universe, and can shrink down well past the planck length. They can divide to make infinite, identical copies of themselves.
They are, for all intents and purposes, perfect.

At the center of each Thrones is this... thing. Looks kind of like a hole in the world. It can take on any shape, 2D or 3D.

Two or more Thrones can, from any distance apart, have these holes suddenly link to make this tear-like void. They can change the shape and size of these tears simply by adjusting their rings. By which I mean God adjusting their rings, as the Thrones also have no sentience to speak of.

These tears are God’s interface. He can look through them better, speak through them better, and – if something’s inside the tear – make edits through them better.

2D tears are generally used for God to get a closer look at things and relay messages. Rarely he’ll also just use them to cut something.

3D tears ones are used to take things into what some angels have dubbed the ‘editing room’. No one who returns from it can ever remember what it’s like, or how they were before. Not everyone returns.

Nothing is scarier than having the direct attention of a Throne, for to have the attention of a Throne is to have the attention of God.
