  43. Iselsi Caim has copper toned skin from his time in the sun. His hair is a platinum blonde that borders on white, worn to the middle of his back. His eyes are blue like polished, clear cut sapphires. His sharp features are concealed by a dark blue silk veil, and his hair is kept in place by a similar headdress. His right arm is covered from the back of his hand to his upper bicep by a translucent sleeve of dark blue silk, and his upper torso is concealed by opaque dark blue silk, with his pants matching in color, stopping below his knees. His shoes are pointed, and all of his clothes are trimmed in gold, and accented with gold fabric in a flame motif. He wears an elaborately embossed and engraved scimitar with a handguard. The weapon has a flower motif, and is kept quite sharp for a ceremonial blade. A short length of dark blue ribbon trails from the pommel.
  44.
  45. Caim has a deep hatred for every dynast born outside of the Iselsi family, largely due to his belief that house Iselsi was punished harshly for their crimes, and the modern houses have not suffered nearly as much for their offenses. With the absence of the empress, Caim believes that he has a duty as a member of house Iselsi to slaughter the other dynasts so his house may rise to glory once again. His status as a night caste also leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. Caim believes that his exaltation has doomed him to a death in battle at the hands of a worthy opponent. This has heavily influenced his style of combat and line of work. On the battlefield he attempts to draw as much attention to himself as possible, and when traveling he rides on the back of his partner, Crissegrim, a drake he forged a strong bond with.
