- WORK EXPERIENCE
- Strafe
- Junior iOS Developer
- Apr 2018 — Nov 2019 (1 yr, 7 mos)
- During my job I have worked with XCode, VSCode, Postman, GitHub, Terminal
- including Homebrew, a little GraphQL and more. Has experience with both Carthage
- and CocoPods for dependency management. Frameworks used during job include:
- Alamofire, RxSwift, Lottie and ARAnalytics to name a few.
- I spent the first 6-9 months self teaching Swift and the related tools required to do my job. I moved on to getting to grips with the codebase, and began implementing small features and changes/fixes to the application as soon as I was able.
- One of the biggest challenges I overcame was building the 'Shop' screen in the application which was pivitol for the userbase in the direction the company was taking the application in. At the time it was a very large step-up from what I had been previously doing, and a lot of responsibiliy and agency was given to me to complete it to the best standard I could as it would be very prominently user-facing.
- It was one of the largest and most important screens I ever worked on, and I had to come up with solutions for some of the design so it would be beautiful on a variety of iPhone types. The update this feature was added in was one of the biggest updates we had been working on. It went on to be one of the most visited and used screens in the application.
