  1. Well i think that most of my points are correct, and i could add even more:
  2.
  3. Israeli women own only 14 percent of businesses, compared to western women who own 30 percent of businesses in the West. An israeli woman earns 65 percent of what a man earns, a western woman earns 82 percent of what a man earns. Women are only 2,3 percent of israeli mayors, compared to 19 percent in the US. Of the 106 israeli government authorities, only four have a woman director. There are very few women in government or in the Knesset, compared to western countries. Therefore women in Israel have lower influence and fewer positions, compared to women in western countries.
  4.
  5. Regardless of the presence of secular jews in Israel, women hold very few important positions in israeli society. Therefore women in Israel have lower influence, compared to western countries.
  6.
  7. Secular jews in Israel are under the same conservative laws as others. Those laws are different than in the West, and are more conservative. For example a secular jew can not marry an arab, whether she likes it, or not. You need Get to divorce, whether you are secular, or not. Plus secular jews in Israel have more kids than westerners (2,1 vs 1,6) and almost all of them marry, unlike in the West. Only 5 percent of children in Israel are born to unmarried mothers, compared to 40 percent in the West. Therefore even if you remove the arab and the orthodox jewish population, the vast majority of secular jews are married.
  8.
  9. Marriage is important, because it causes a society to become more right wing, because married people tend to vote for the right, single people - for the left.
  10.
  11. By the way i suspect that the fact that israeli men have fathers and stable families, and serve in the army, helps create stronger and more masculine israeli men. In my country, we have a saying that a girl becomes a woman after she becomes a mother, and a boy becomes a man after he served in the army. Imagine if israeli men were raised only by their mothers and did not have to go to the army: they will be weaker men than today, as the study above shows. So i could definitely say that Israel is good for its sons, since most of them have fathers and are raised in stable families..
  12.
  13. Conclusion: western countries are more feminized countries than Israel, and men in Israel have more influence than men in western countries. Israeli culture, as a whole, is more conservative than western culture. Israeli laws are different and more conservative than western laws, and israeli women hold very few important positions in society. For example unlike in the West there is no alimony law in Israel. Unlike in the West, gays can not marry in Israel. Marriage and divorce are governed by the conservative chief israeli rabbinate, which is all male. The rabbinical courts - Beth din are all male. Secular jews are under israeli law too and have to go through the rabinical courts as far as marriage, divorce, or other issues are concerned. Secular jews are also a bit more conservative than westerners - have more kids and marry more often. Recently the government banned a book about jewish woman having a relationship with an arab man. This would never happen in the West.
  14.
  15. Therefore regardless of cultural differences between arabs, orthodox jews , and secular jews, israeli culture is more conservative as a whole (few women in important positions), and israeli laws are more conservative than western laws.
