  1. I had become the hero of Neverwinter, I had saved many lives but at the cost of many more. That bothered me. Then I found myself in one of my favorite worlds… oddly it seemed I had replaced the hero Shiki Tohno.
  2.
  3. This was actually kind of distressing because without Shiki there Arcueid would be little more than an Automaton. Worse I was already hearing stories of a “vampire” killer on the news. It was a month out from when I was to return home to the Tohno Mansion.
  4. I was able to transfer in Akitsu, Adam Jensen and Abraham Van Hellsing. I managed to learn how to fake IDs and documents back in Dues Ex.
  5. Van Hellsing was dead set on catching the vampire killer. Not a surprise really so even before I reached the Tohno Mansion we started the
  6. hunt. The Arimas were confused and disturbed by my new habits and new friends.
  7.
  8. I was still mulling what to do with Arcueid (who I really wanted to get to open up and be like she was after she met Shiki.) when I stumbled across her slaughtering some of the Dead.
  9.
  10. We helped her in that fight but she barely acknowledged us. I started to fallow her and talk to her. At first she seemed annoyed (Which was surprising given that she had any emotion) but I got her to tell me her name.
  11.
  12. It was a bit of a rocky start to things but it was better than nothing. Eventually I got her to accept our presence as she hunted.
  13. About this time it was time for the big move.
  14.
  15. Akiha… well she had a lot of rules. I tried to fallow some of them. I am sure I gave her more frustration than she was do, maybe more even than Shiki.
  16.
  17. One of my first actions though when I got back to the mansion was to return Kohaku’s Ribbon. I thanked her for giving it to me so long ago. She was actually shocked that I had known it was her.
  18. Akiha was not so pleased when I introduced my friends… well for some reason Akitsu set her off. Van Hellsing was a perfect gentleman and Jensen was cool.
  19.
  20. She didn’t like much of what I did but she really didn’t like how Akitsu dressed. Honestly Akitsu tends to wear what she wants and what she wants is stripperific, also being even at that age so well endowed… and me being rather buxom… I think we made her a little self-conscious.
  21.
  22. Anyways I was forbidden to go out at night, I was discouraged from hanging around my friends and wife.
  23.
  24. I of course ignored both of these… and Akiha really isn’t someone who appreciates being ignored. I felt bad for Hisui who caught hell for my actions which … ok I may have gotten upset with and that turned in to a big fat ugly argument. I hate awkwardness and arguments… but someone else taking blame for my actions angered me. Anyways I told her I knew about SHIKI and that she and Kohaku had been sneaking out too. That led go more arguing until she just went to bed not feeling well and I got told off by Kohaku… so yeah I got to feel like a real Ass hole. I didn’t even have to take the drawback to do it.
  25.
  26. Meanwhile progress with Arcueid was slow at best, she gradually came to accept my presence, even seemed to come to like it but I wanted to see her smile and be curious and her usual airheaded goofball self. This Arcueid showed no interest in anything that wasn’t murdering Roa in the most brutal way possible.
  27.
  28. Worse my companions were good at helping her. I realized it wouldn’t be long before the figured out it was the school where Roa/SHIKI was hiding.
  29.
  30. Then came Ceil…
  31.
  32. She had been my friend at school and well I guess she gathered enough information about me to get the wrong impression. I mean Roa and I are similar beings and I do possess knowledge and abilities I have no way of learning.
  33.
  34. So Ceil tried to assassinate me… apparently she came ready to bear because she had several conceptual weapons, her seventh holy scripture… She wasn’t screwing around. So it turned out to be a brutal fight for our lives against someone who was effectively immortal and armed to the teeth with magic and holy weapons.
  35.
  36. It was a long night I don’t know how many times we killed her. Thankfully Van Hellsing and I were able to keep everyone alive with healing magic. Fuck getting hit with the seventh holy scripture hurt. I probably only survived because it was a glancing blow and I wasn’t a vampire.
  37.
  38. It was actually Arcueid who broke the stalemate… Ceil might have been able to stand up to her with all her gear… but not after a night of fighting us. She Killed Ceil long enough to get her to calm down and explain that I wasn’t Roa because I didn’t have the power he had stolen from her. Finally to put the final nail in the coffin of I was Roa theory I showed both of them my warehouse and told them the truth.
  39.
  40. Well good news Ceil no longer believed I was Roa… Bad news because of what I had just showed her I was probably going to wind up on her list of nonhumans to kill after Roa was dead. Strangely somehow we went back to being or pretending to be friends or maybe more than just pretending.
  41.
  42. Strangely it was revealing the whole being a dimension traveler thing that actually started to open Arcueid up. I think something about it made her nostalgic for someone. A certain old man who’s path I hope not to cross in my travels.
  43. She became curious about me. I told her my tales and she really got invested. Strangely it was about this time she started to get hostile to Akitsu…
  44.
  45. It’s funny how we can get distracted with personal issues of people not getting along. It was my own fault really. I was so deep in to things I forgot about other vampire in town.
  46.
  47. We woke up to a hotel being slaughtered and devoured by beasts. Once again I was too late to save people… My companions would kill his beasts but they would just return, only I could hack them apart using my new power to kill them.
  48.
  49. My head throbbed and burned as I faced down Nero. There was so much gore. So many people dead. I was furious both at him and myself for letting it happen. He barely acknowledged me speaking to the Princess. She wasn’t any happier than I was, being that he was a friend of Roa’s.
  50.
  51. The battle was epic and brutal. Akitsu kept him off balance with spells and Ice, Adam and Arcueid tore in to him and kept him and his minions busy. Van Hellsing kept everyone protected and healed with holy magic.
  52.
  53. As for myself I knew who I was dealing with. Killing these pieces of him would not end his threat. I vanished in to the chaos and tried to find an opening… only for a huge Gator head to pop out of his back and nearly take my arm off. He started to explain how he didn’t need to see me to react but then I pulled a gun and shot his point of death. As he crumbled his shock turned to resolve as he acknowledged me as his death.
  54.
  55. Even Arcueid was taken by surprise to see the ancient vampires death.
  56.
  57. I am not really sure what happened after that, the headache got so bad I lost consciousness for a bit.
  58. I woke up back in the mansion with a furious Akiha. Which by the way is never a great way to wake up. My companions were in the mansion but she had chased them off. A rather impressive feat considering you needed a crowbar to separate Akitsu from me most times, though I heard the chains of her outfit clanking from outside the door.
  59.
  60. Akiha was furious at me for coming home in such a state, she was furious for me for breaking her rules. She demanded an explanation. I had felt bad for the way I left her before and for what I was doing to her. Let it not be said being the relative of a Jumper is easy.
  61. I decided to put my trust and faith in Akiha who despite her Tsundere tendencies seemed to be deep down a good person… mostly. I tried to break it to her gently. Tell her who and what I was. She was confused and distressed. When she heard about the mystic eyes of death perception and that that was how I had gotten in this state. She forbade me from ever using them again.
  62.
  63. She was surprisingly knowledgeable on this worlds magic and able to deduce the fact that they were harmful to the user (probably because I had been brought home in such a state.) I told her honestly that it was likely the only way to truly stop Shiki. I promised to only use them one more time.
  64.
  65. She wasn’t happy or remotely satisfied but somehow I got her to agree.
  66. That out of the way I returned to the school the next day to find Satsuki gone… people didn’t understand why I started beating my head against the wall with that but I didn’t care. Stuff I knew was going to happen was happening and I was to busy with personal drama to prevent it.
  67.
  68. We had already hunting the streets now we hunted them for Satsuki. She had been a friend and I had to help her somehow.
  69. Sadly it wasn’t a surprise that we found her Slaughtering people…. What was a surprise was I had to step in to prevent both Van Hellsing and Arcueid from immediately killing her.
  70. Ok, so maybe that shouldn’t have been a huge surprise.
  71.
  72. Satsuki took this the wrong or maybe right way and was looking to grab me and fight or flee. I had to deal with protecting Satsuki frim my friends while trying to reason with her and them.
  73.
  74. I would swear I could help, her they would swear that I couldn’t that she was too far gone and vampirism is incurable now get out of the way so we can make this quick and painless.
  75.
  76. This went on for… too long really finally I got her and them to give me a chance…
  77. So I threw out the most powerful holy spell I learned in overlord a spell that literally created miracles.
  78. And it worked.
  79.
  80. Just about everyone was stunned, myself included. Satsuki became horrified by what she had done. It took a lot to calm her down and try and get her as ok as possible with what had happened. I managed to convince her it was not her fault.
  81.
  82. From her we learned what I had already known. With a little magic we were able to jog her memory so she knew Roa was at the school.
  83. I was not so happy to find that out Arcueid had made progress but likely after Roa was dead she would go away…
  84.
  85. There was nothing I could do so we marched over to the school, the moon was high and full. I suppose it’s Just our luck.
  86. Well we cornered Roa and for some reason it was Roa. He was desperate, he had gathered a lot of magical energy and he was threatened with being overwhelmed.
  87.
  88. He already had his Reality Marble up and was pelting us with lightning and whatever other magical spell he could throw at us.
  89. I won’t lie it was a hard fight for me… lightning everywhere. However it was not a tough fight for Arcueid or Adam Jensen who just walked through most things do to immunity or innate toughness. He blew out a few walls but in the end they got to him. I managed to use my eyes one last time… Keeping my promise and the serpent of Akasha was no more. It was sort of anti-climactic.
  90.
  91. I asked Arcueid what she was going to do now. She had received the power she had lost. She admitted she didn’t really know and said she would probably go back to sleep.
  92.
  93. My heart sank but I offered her since she didn’t have anything she had to do why didn’t she stay up and hang around with us for a bit.
  94. Well Time passed. Though strangely I stumbled upon violence and murder everywhere I went.
  95.
  96. Arcueid Stayed with us and slowly began to act more like the version I knew. It was a slow process but without Roa to drive her, she began to experience the world and grow curious. I got to see her smile and laugh genuinely and got to show her the world.
  97.
  98. Unfortunately things came to a head with her and Akitsu, She along with developing other feelings had come to have feelings for me and wasn’t happy I was already taken.
  99.
  100. That was a scary battle. I was Defending Akitsu trying to keep her alive from an very unhappy Arcueid. Somehow I managed to talk them down before people got hurt. Thankfully Akitsu explained that she was ok with Polygamy and willing to share. This gave Arcueid pause. It took a lot of talking and some tense moments but she finally agreed to try. I think I actually got them to sort of become friends since Arcueid no longer saw her as a Rival.
  101.
  102. Jealous Arcueid is a scary thing.
  103.
  104. Speaking of Scary things about a year after I arrived there came Sion and the TATARI…
  105. I don’t know why but the phenomina seemed to target me. Suddenly all of my fears from all of the worlds before this one as well as this one spilled out in to reality, I got to deal with a Jealous Arcueid who couldn’t be talked down. Thankfully she wasn’t as strong as the real one. I got to fight old movie monsters again, A 60 foot stone Jaguar… It was not fun. Eventually we managed to stop the phenomena. Arcueid summoned the moon from the future and Sion and I put him down.
  106.
  107. Things continued on, I had to deal with various other incidents. Over the years Arcueid became as I hoped she would be, she seemed to become fascinated by humanity and by me. By the end of my time there she had accepted Akitsu completely and I had my second wife. I don’t think Akiha ever really forgave that. Thankfully for some reason my benefactor agreed to let Arcueid come along. I didn’t even need to use a pod for her.
