  1. Combination Trading Card + Arcade game, inspired by Dragon Ball Heroes and Super Sentai Dice-O. Gameplay adapted from J-Stars Victory VS.
  2.
  3. Cards come in three different colours that dictate their role. These are:
  4. > Blue: Fighter Cards. These are the playable characters that are pitted against each other. Examples: Mario, Link, Samus etc.
  5. > Red: Support Cards. These are minor characters that can assist combatants a la Marvel vs. Capcom 1. Examples: Sumia, Waluigi, Doc Louis.
  6. > Green: Item Cards. These are items that can be used by characters for different effects. Some items can only be used by certain characters. Examples: Lon Lon Milk, Mr. Saturn, Lucarionite.
  7.
  8. The average deck consists of two Fighter Cards, one Support Card and three Item Cards, making a total of six. Like most TCG's, some cards are rarer than others, and there are three major tiers of rarity: Common, Uncommon and Rare.
  9. > Common cards often show up in booster packs, and usually consist of Item and Support Cards, with one or two Fighter Cards also being common. Common Cards are marked with an all-black square. Examples: Little Mac (Fighter), Waddle Dee (Support), Giant Mushroom (Item)
  10. > Uncommon cards are usually exclusive to themed decks, but occasionally turn up in booster packs. Uncommon cards are marked with a black ring. Examples: Link (Fighter), Blastoise (Support), Cracker Launcher (Item)
  11. > Rare cards are exclusive to themed decks and promotions, and are marked with an unfilled star. They are usually the most powerful cards, with the exception of Promos and Illegal cards. Examples: Mega Man (Fighter), Emperor Bulblax (Support), Dragoon (Item)
  12.
  13. > Promo cards are given away at special promotions, and are thus incredibly unique. They are marked with a golden star or a special logo. In the story, a promo for the new Pokémon film gives away an exclusive Diance support card that is sought after by the villains.
  14. > Illegal cards are cards that have been tampered with via computer. They are illegal in the sense that they are incredibly overpowered and contain abilities or characters not found in the original software. In the story, the villains make use of illegal cards to gain an advantage, and at one point the main character discovers a Fulgore fighter card, which was created by an obsessive fan and thus is not an official card.
  15.
  16. In the game, the cards a placed into the arcade machine's scanner prior to selecting a battle arena.
  17.
  18. The Game:
  19. > 2-on-2 3D fighter, with characters able to move in all directions on the field. Players can swap control between their two fighters.
  20. > Each fighter has their own health and super meter. The latter is charged by performing attacks, but charges quicker if these attacks actually connect in a combo. When the health meter is depleted, that character is K.O'd and will revive after a short period of time.
  21. > The player's objective is to fill up their Victory Meter at the top of the screen. A segment is filled every time a fighter is K.O.'d, and if all the segments are filled that player wins.
  22. > Attacks come in three varieties: Basic, Strong and Special.
  23. > Basic and Strong attacks strung together form the basics of combos. basic attacks are quick, but weak. Strong Attacks are slow and leave the player open, but cause tremendous knockback if charged up.
  24. > Special Attacks include projectiles and other abilities, and the same button is used for Super Attacks.
  25. > Super Attacks cost meter to use, but are very powerful.
  26. > Support Cards can be activated to either attack or provide boosts/buffs. Some Support Cards require specific conditions to use. After use, most Support Cards will become unavailable for a short time, much like TvC or MvC.
  27. > Item Cards provide status buffs or can disrupt enemy stats somehow. Item Cards can only be used a certain amount of times before they are depleted. Some Item Cards, such as Lucarionite or the Dragoon, require specific conditions to use.
