Still sickness

Covet: Kelsey was in her room, half asleep on the couch, where she'd been watching a movie, a box of tissues close to her as she rode out the tail end of the dreaded cold. // Connor was basically doing his bedtime routine all on his own. He was in the bathroom brushing his teeth, in his pajamas, after his shower.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad was in the process of warming up some of the leftover soup from Connor's video because they had literally two pots of it made so yeah. Sticking the container in the microwave, he kind of just guessed of how long it was supposed to be in for, hitting buttons on the microwave and lingering for it to be ready so he could bring some to Kelsey.-
Covet: Pulling the blanket up off of herself, she got up and made her way towards the door to go check on the boys because it'd been a while and it was too quite for comfort. Opening the door she made her way down the hall to the kitchen. // Connor grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste, before getting off the foot stool and making his way out of the bathroom, "Momma why are you up, You're supposed to be sleeping."
Alexithymiaa: -The microwave beeped and he pulled the container out, setting it down on the counter and getting out a bowl to start pouring some over into the bowl for Kelsey. When he heard Connor's voice scolding her, he turned around, pointing in the direction of her dorm. "Yeah, you shouldn't be up. I was just getting you some soup. Go lay down."-
Covet: "I've been laying down all day, I'll be alright to be up for a little while. Plus I wanted to check on you guys and maybe get myself some tea." She added, looking down at Connor."But Thank you for being so concerned for my well being." She said with a laugh. // Connor hugged her legs and nodded, "You took care of us, so now we're taking care of you. That's what families do."
Alexithymiaa: "I'll get the tea, you go sit down." Brad said, grabbing the tea kettle and sticking it under the sink to fill with water. "We'll get you all taken care of with anything you need. You need to rest so you can fight off this cold faster." He said, setting the tea kettle down on the stove and turning it on. Grabbing for a spoon, he set it inside the bowl of soup, passing it over the counter to her.-
Covet: "Okay, okay." Kelsey said as she took the soup and went to go sit down. // Connor ran down the hallway to go put his tooth brush away, before coming back to join them in the kitchen.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad went about getting a mug out for her tea, sticking a tea bag in it to get it ready as he waited for the water to heat up. "Do you feel any better than you did earlier?"-
Covet: "I do actually. A little hoarse from the coughing, but I've been resting my voice so it's not effecting me too bad." She told him starting in on the soup. // Connor climbed up onto the chair and sat down, "Dad, can I have some tea too."
Alexithymiaa: "Just the green tea, buddy." He said, not wanting to give him caffeine this late. He started to get another mug down, setting the tea bag in that one was well. "The cough drops might help a little with that coughing. You should try them."-
Covet: "I've been doing them. I am loving the spearmint halls I found. They're amazing as far as cough drops go." Kelsey said. // "What about the mint one?" He asked Brad.
Alexithymiaa: "That one has caffeine in it. You can have the plain green tea, it's okay." He said, giving him a look and grabbing the tea kettle from the stove, pouring hot water into each mug. "Yeah, those ones are good, but the strawberry ones are still my favorite.'_
Covet: "I know that cough drops need menthol in them for them to work properly, but I really wish there was a better flavor that combined with it to make them taste better too. Everything about being sick is awful, except this soup." // Connor pouted, "Oh... Okay. I guess green tea will be okay."
Alexithymiaa: -He grabbed for a spoon to stir up each of their mugs of tea before sliding them across the counter to the respective owners, dumping out the remaining water in the tea kettle. "I know. And the more effective the cough drops are, the worse they taste too. We really need to make friends with a chemist."-
Covet: "Yes, I agreee." Kelsey said taking her mug, "Make sure to blow on it kiddo." She told Connor. // "What's a chemist?" He asked before blowing on the mug.

Alexithymiaa: "A chemist is someone who's a really smart scientist that knows all about how to combine stuff to make medicines and shampoos and soaps and foods.... almost anything." He said, trying to explain as simply as he possibly could.-
Covet: "Dad's right." Kelsey said with a nod. // Connor scrunched his nose, "That sounds like a lot of work."
Alexithymiaa: "It is a lot of work, that's why only the smartest people become chemists." He said because that was at least true in his eyes.-
Covet: "Mhhm. It takes a lot of studying and school." Kelsey said. // "I think I'll just stick with cooking." Connor said blowing on his tea, he took a drink of it, but then scrunched his nose up and pushed it away. "I don't think I like green tea very much."
Alexithymiaa: "That's fine, I'll drink it." He said, reaching over to grab the mug to take a sip. "You know, cooking is sort of like chemistry. You need to know how all your ingredients are going to react together."-
Covet: "It's the tastier side of chemistry." Kelsey said with a laugh. // Connor nodded, "Yeah, probably, but it's easier and yummier when it comes to testing it, because all you have to do is taste it."
Alexithymiaa: "Definitely yummier and easier than regular chemistry." He said with a nod, taking another sip of the tea. "I just mean you should give yourself some credit."-
Covet: "There's special sciencey chefs too, called Gastronomers. They use really cool science techniques to modify foods." Kelsey told Connor.// He couldn't help but laugh, because 5 years old, and gas. "That's a funny name for a science chef."
Alexithymiaa: "Well the word gastro means stomach so things that start with gastro are usually related to stomach things." He said, being sort of proud of himself for knowing that.-
Covet: "Wow, you're on a roll tonight, hun." Kelsey said as she pushed her soup bowl away. // Connor gave out a yawn. "Oh, okay that makes sense. Thanks for explainging Dad"
Alexithymiaa: "I'm just full of all kinds of information." He said with a grin, leaning over to grab her soup bowl so he could take it over to the sink where he definitely wasn't going to wash it. "It's good to learn new things, right little man?"-
Covet: "Today must be a special day, because that's not what you're normally full of." Kelsey said with a smirk, being a brat. // "Yeah, that's how you get smart, Duh." He said. sliding off his chair.
Alexithymiaa: "Hey... hey. I'll give you a pass because you're sick, but none of that." He said, wagging a finger at Kelsey. "You should be in bed anyway missy." He told her.-
Covet: "Yeah, yeah. I need my cold medicine first though." She said to him finishing off her tea. // "Then Momma and I can get tucked in with a book." Connor said.
Alexithymiaa: "Alright cold medicine first, and then everyone is getting tucked into bed." He said, turning to grab her cold medicine from the counter to get it poured out for her. "You brushed your teeth, right?"-
Covet: "I haven't brushed mine yet. But I can go do that.I'll meet you guys in the bedroom" She said to Brad. // "I already did Dad." He said already making his way down to the room because he wasn't waiting for these slow ass adults.
Alexithymiaa: "Alright, I'm taking this with me!" He called out to her with the cold medicine in his hand, heading off behind Connor to her dorm room so he could start getting Connor tucked into bed.-
