  1. Forza Horizon 5 | All Races (FT) FAQ
  2.
  3. What races are included in All Races?
  4. - Contrary to the name, this category does not include quite literally every single race/event within FH5. This run includes every single Street, Road, Dirt, Cross Country and Drag race within the game.
  5. The category does NOT include Stories and their events, seasonal exclusive events such as Winter Wonderland Circuit, which is only playable around Christmas, or events that were added post-launch, such as Midnight Battles in the Street Racing series.
  6.
  7. What does (FT) mean?
  8. - Fast Travel. All of these types of categories are split into FT and Non-FT on speedrun.com. Not using fast travel presents interesting routing possibilities for the races, but in reality playing through the game this way does not make any sense at all.
  9.
  10. What cars will you be using?
  11. - For both the Street Racing and Road Racing series', I will be using the Hot Wheels Bad to the Blade car. This is a DLC car obtained at the very end of the Hot Wheels DLC, and is one of the best cars in the game. It's got extremely fast acceleration, real good breaking and stupidly good handling.
  12. For the Dirt Racing and Cross Country series', I will be using the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR. This car is just real quick, and works really good in off-road situations. Strangely there's a lot of tarmac to race on in these series' despite them focusing on off-roading, but the Mercedes is great on tarmac as well so it works out well.
  13. For the Drag races, I will be using the Lamborghini Diablo GTR. It's just the best car for these races, and they're insanely simple.
  14.
  15. What's the general route you'll be using?
  16. - It doesn't matter the order you complete the series' or the races in at all. I've organised it series and will be doing 1 at a time. Within each series, I've routed out an event order that I believe will mean the least amount of time in menus (less scrolling to fast travel to different events).
  17. I'm doing the Street and Road series' first, followed by the Dirt and Cross Country, then finally Drag. I'm doing them in this order to reduce the number of times I have to switch between cars.
  18.
  19. How many events are in this run?
  20. - 98 in total. 21 Street Races, 34 Road Races, 20 Dirt Races, 20 Cross Country Races and 3 Drag Races.
  21.
  22. Are there any major reset points?
  23. - Nope. Once I'm on a run I should be good to go to the end. Rewinds are allowed in full-game runs (they're timed by RTA, so they don't benefit you at all), so any mistakes within races can be undone. The Street Race Series does have RNG with traffic cars however, so I'm doing it at the beginning because I'll have to pay extra attention to that.
  24.
  25. What is the hardest race?
  26. - Probably The Gauntlet. It's the last race I do in the Dirt Series, and it's mostly because of how insanely long the course is (I believe it's 36 miles which is just under 58km).
  27. This event takes over 15minutes to complete and has some difficult driving in it, but it's balanced out by the really long stretches of tarmac that you race on.
  28.
  29. How are you always at the front of the starting grid?
  30. - I have the difficulty set to Tourist (the lowest) just to put myself at the front and gain a slight edge. Money is irrelevant in this category, so the only downside to this is occasionally I'll be prompted to increase my difficulty, but it doesn't happen often.
  31.
  32. Are the AI a threat?
  33. - Not at all, in fact the beginning of each race is likely the only time you'll ever see them on my mini-map if I'm doing a sprint race. Might see them more in circuit races.
  34.
  35. Sprint Race vs Circuit?
  36. - Sprint races are essentially point to point races, where I go from one part of the map to another without circling back on myself.
  37. Circuit races consist of 3 laps around a course, so completing the same track 3 times essentially.
  38.
  39. What is your goal/estimate?
  40. - So I already know I can save almost 20 minutes on the record, due to the extra 5 events it does. Beyond that, I'm using slightly better cars for the races and am going in with a decently prepared route.
  41. I truly have no idea what is possible with the route I have created, sub 6:15 is my immediate goal, but it would be awesome if this could be taken down to sub 6!
  42.
  43. What is the World Record?
  44. - 6:49:50 by itzred13
  45. As hinted to above, this run actually completes 103 events. It completes Winter Wonderland AND the Midnight Battles (neither are required).
