  1. The demo left off at:
  2.
  3. Miu: What have I done…?
  4. Miu: How did this happen? This wasn’t what they said would happen!
  5. ~She fell to her knees, drained of all hope. The world around her was a silent corpse: no living creatures remained to fill the air with any sort of noise. The wind was perfectly still, leaving nothing but horrible silence. This city was no more than a ghostly reminder that life once existed at all.
  6. Miu: I haven’t saved the world… I’ve destroyed it beyond all repair.
  7. Miu: …
  8. Miu: This must be the aftermath of the war against our own people. We were fools to think the death of MC alone would prevent it. Hellsing Technologies must have just bought the support of a different president without him around.
  9. Miu: Only now… This war did not have a winning side.
  10. ~Standing among the ruins of what used to be her home, Miu thinks as hard as she can. Everything was wrong. This wasn’t supposed to happen. How could killing MC have somehow made things worse?
  11. ~She couldn’t believe such a thing. It was impossible. And yet she was standing there, surrounded by proof that she was wrong.
  12. ~Miu closes her eyes.
  13. Miu: I can’t accept this fate. There has to be a way to save this world. Everything is wrong and I don’t have the slightest idea what I’m going to do to save it.
  14. Miu: But I can’t just do nothing…
  15. ~The android sat there among the charred stone and twisted metal for a long time, trying and trying to think of a way to salvage this fate.
  16. ~A dull breeze swept through the city ruins, whistling eerily through the holes and gaping windows.
  17. ~Miu was the only thing that moved in this place. But even then, there was still nothing there which lived.
  18. ~A thought came to the android’s mind. It was a terrible one, and a long shot that it would even work at all. But she had no other choice, did she? What could possibly be worse than this?
  19. ~She turned back to look at the time machine behind her. It looked out of place, pristine and unlike any of the time-worn destruction around it. The portal waited for her, beckoning with the whispers of another chance.
  20. ~She knew exactly what she had to do.
