(Introduction) "Hey! You just moved into that old farm, right? I'm Nicole. Nice to meet you!"

"Our business is kind of out of the way, but there's good soil out here. Besides, it feels good to get back to nature, you know?"

"I get the feeling that your farm might make our business a bit obsolete after a while. Hey, no need to feel bad for us! If you need anything, we're still here."

"I make preserves with some of our extra stock so it'll keep longer. I'm glad Dr. Harvey really likes the Pickles, because I can't stand them."

"The forest is lovely this time of year... What am I saying? The forest is always lovely!"

(At 2+ Hearts) "Are you doing any beekeeping on your farm? I bet Elis would really appreciate some Honey, if you have any to spare."

(At 2+ Hearts) "Sometimes I think that only Emily understands the value of a nice crystal. Know what I mean?"

(At 4+ Hearts) "Sebastian sometimes comes over for our special stock. Oh...? What do I mean by that? Uh, I'll tell you later, at the store..."

(At 6+ Hearts) "I know I go on about the weather and nature a lot... I'm really passionate about it, but it's also easier to talk about that than myself, I guess. Sometimes I barely even know who I am."

(Spring) "It's lovely to see the world burst back into life after the long winter! It would just be nice if there was less pollen, though..."

(Summer) "I appreciate the cycle of nature and all, but I'm really not the biggest fan of this heat. Maybe a swim is in order."

(Fall) "Look at the trees! I'd say I wish it could be like this all year, but then Fall wouldn't be so special. I guess we just have to appreciate the good things while they last."

(Winter) "The world might be going into hibernation for the winter, but the cold air in your lungs really has a way of making you feel alive, yeah?"

Four Hearts
Enter Elis and Nicole's home when Nicole is there.

The player enters the cabin to see Nicole standing at her altar, with cards laid out on it. She jumps and seems a little shaken as the player comes closer. She seems a little embarrassed by what she's doing, but explains that she was doing a Tarot reading for herself, and that it helps her to find some guidance when she's not sure what to do next. She offers to do one for the player.

"Sure, sounds interesting!" (+40 friendship points)
-"Oh...? You don't think it's stupid? Thanks... Alright, now just concentrate, and we'll begin..." The reading she receives can be one of five different results, and gives hints about how the next day's luck will pan out.

"Kind of busy right now, sorry." (No effect on friendship)
-"Oh? Sorry for bothering you... Feel free to come back later if you want one, then..." The scene ends early.

"You really believe in that stuff, don't you?" (-40 friendship points)
-"Mmh... I guess it is pretty stupid, huh? Sorry..." The scene ends early.

(If the first two answers were chosen, then future Tarot readings will be available by interacting with the altar while Nicole is present. If the last was chosen, the option remains locked.)

Six hearts
Enter the Town Square from the bus stop between 10am and 5pm.

Nicole is standing by the community garden and leans over to get a closer look, but ends up losing her balance and falling, crushing a number of the plants. [someone] finds her, and loudly asks what happened. She gets to her feet and freezes, becoming unresponsive and shaking, even as [someone] keeps asking. The farmer arrives onto the scene.

"Are you okay?"
-Nicole still doesn't respond.

(Pretend as if you don't see anything)
The farmer walks on past. Nicole eventually stammers out a "Sorry" and runs back towards the forest. The scene ends.

(If the first option was chosen, the scene continues)

"Take a deep breath. You can do this." (+50 friendship points)
She follows the farmer's advice and eventually is able to face [someone] and explain, and apologize. [someone] understands that it was an accident and forgives her, but asks her to help replant the damaged plants, to which she agrees.

"What's wrong with you? It's not that big a deal!" (-50 friendship points)
Nicole shuts down even further, eventually just wandering off the scene with a blank look on her face. [someone] looks at you confused, and frustratedly says that they're going to have to spend time replanting.

(If the first option was chosen, the scene continues after [someone] has left.)
Nicole turns to the farmer and apologizes for the breakdown, explaining that she's always had trouble dealing with people being angry at her because the consequences for her messing up used to be a lot more serious. She thanks the farmer for being patient and helping her out.

Eight Hearts:
Enter the Cindersap Forest after 7pm on a clear night

The farmer approaches the cabin to see Nicole standing under the awning, staring out into the woods. She invites them over, to which they stand beside her. She thanks them for being a good friend and helping her to feel welcome when she often feels very isolated from other people other than Elis. The camera pans over the woods (during spring and summer, fireflies will flutter about, in fall it will be moths, and in winter, snowflakes) as she confides that this place reminds her of her grandma's farm, a place that gave her comfort and belonging when her home felt so cold and threatening. Some people may see a small town like this as a trap with 'nothing to do', but for others, like herself and Elis, returning to nature can be powerfully healing, and it's a good place to work through her issues.

"I don't know. What do you think?"
