- >”No!” Lyra said as Lemy and his school project partner, Gloom, entered the house.
- >”What?” Lemy said, confused at his sister’s outburst.
- >”No. No, this is not allowed in our home.” Lyra says pointing at Gloom from the stairs. “Come with me, whatever your name is, this needs to be fixed.”
- >”Uh, okay?” Gloom says as she takes a step forward.
- >”Lyra, what is this bullshit?” Lemy stretches out his arm to stop Gloom, who is continuing forward.
- >Gloom’s chest brushes against Lemy’s arm.
- >”Noooo!” Lyra leaps forward and throws Lemy to the side. “Upstairs, now!”
- >Gloom is pushed up the stairs by Lyra.
- >”So indecent. Depraved. Carnal.” Lyra mutters to herself, as she and Gloom enter her room.
- >Gloom looks around the lavender painted room; a wooden cross on the wall, a canopy bed, and a violin case.
- >”Put this on.” Lyra says as she throws a buttoned shirt to Gloom.
- >Gloom nods and pulls the shirt on, it’s a bit long.
- >”Button it up.” Lyra directs.
- >”Oh! Button-ups don’t fit me.” Gloom says.
- >”What do you mean?” Lyra says.
- >”They don’t fit.” Gloom reiterates.
- >”Humor me.”
- >Gloom begins to button from the bottom and it seems fine. Then she reaches about the chest and each button is a bit more of a struggle. Gloom is able to button it to the neck though, each button at her chest is strained to bursting.
- >”This is awful...” Lyra says.
- >The button then gives way and shoots across the room and striking Lyra in the eye.
- >”Fu- For the love of God!” Lyra cries.
- >Gloom slowly takes the blouse off.
- >”Put this on.” Lyra says as she covers on eye and throws a sweatshirt over.
- >Gloom’s breasts stretch the church name on the shirt to inscrutability.
- >”Close enough. I’m getting an ice pack. Stay away from my brother, you harlot.” Lyra says as she leaves the room.
- >”Are you okay?” Gloom says.
- >”My eye and my pride will heal...” Lyra laments.
