  1. We have good news. There will be a HOPE in 2020. And we expect it
  2. to be better than ever.
  3.
  4. For several months, we have been looking for a venue that would
  5. have the needed space and flexibility for HOPE. Thanks to the
  6. efforts of many - and the massive amount of suggestions and
  7. support from attendees - we've found a new location for the
  8. conference that's much, much better than what we had before.
  9.
  10. HOPE will take place at St. John's University in Queens from July
  11. 31st to August 2nd, 2020. It's still in New York City, easily
  12. accessible by mass transit, and well positioned to do everything
  13. we've done in the past.
  14.
  15. But here's where things get different - and better. The space we
  16. now have access to is far bigger than what we have been working
  17. with in the past. Here is what that means:
  18.
  19. - At least four speaking tracks with rooms as big or bigger than
  20. what we've used in the past.
  21.
  22. - Enough extra space to duplicate what we've done with
  23. exhibitions, workshops, vendors, and displays.
  24.
  25. - 24 hour access to as much of the space as we need.
  26.
  27. - More than 100,000 square feet of outdoor space to use for
  28. additional projects.
  29.
  30. - Many additional rooms for new projects or additional speaker tracks.
  31.
  32. - Buildings that are close together and spacious.
  33.
  34. - Plenty of chill space for people to hang out and socialize.
  35.
  36. - A network at least three times faster than our already
  37. record-breaking speeds.
  38.
  39. - A healthy campus environment with people who appreciate who we
  40. are.
  41.
  42. - Options to reserve dorm rooms or suites onsite for less than
  43. the cost of a hotel.
  44.
  45. - Food options throughout the event onsite.
  46.
  47. - Nearby hotel space or a one-stop train ride to midtown
  48. Manhattan.
  49.
  50. - Only minutes away from JFK and LaGuardia airports.
  51.
  52. - Free parking for those driving in and no Manhattan traffic to
  53. deal with.
  54.
  55. We could go on. But we're absolutely thrilled at what this place
  56. has to offer. And best of all, we're able to get so much more
  57. while keeping the price change minimal. For many, HOPE will cost
  58. less due to all the new options (parking, accommodations, food)
  59. that we didn't have before.
  60.
  61. A whole lot has been accomplished and we believe we're about to
  62. open a brand new chapter for the entire community. But now the
  63. real work begins.
  64.
  65. Expanding the conference to this degree will require massive
  66. coordination and more involvement from more people. We'll need to
  67. improve in the areas where we fell short and make the magic that
  68. HOPE conferences are known for even better. There will be
  69. frequent updates on all of this, including ways you can get
  70. involved. The official HOPE call for participation will be
  71. released around the start of 2020. We will be asking for
  72. volunteers, speakers, workshops, villages, and many more ideas.
  73.
  74. And as is our tradition, we'll start offering the first batch of
  75. tickets in November. More info on that will be out soon.
  76.
  77. If you have thoughts you'd like to share about this new HOPE
  78. chapter, please email us at hope@hope.net. We can't always
  79. respond personally due to the huge amount of feedback we get, but
  80. we do read everything and we'll be putting together a FAQ to
  81. address questions or issues that come up. For now, we're thrilled
  82. that the HOPE tradition will continue, and that we'll be doing
  83. something very different this time. We really hope you can be a
  84. part of it.
