- It's 2019. End of October. Today is the big day. You hop in an Uber and take it up to the Kiss and Ride at Midway Airport headed for New York City.
- What you need to know to build a character:
- - We are playing Pathfinder 2e
- - 1st Level Start
- - Homebrew content is allowed, please just run it by me first.
- - As far as the background of your character goes, please explain who your character is as a person, what they do, if they know anybody else's character, ect. Do they like dad jokes and IPA's? Are they a stern real estate agent headed out to close a deal? You get the idea. Characters that have depth and creativity will be incentivized by a gift of sorts shortly after the start of the game.
- - The character you create is going to have to be around and to some extent, be a part of the team with other players. Keep that in mind when you are creating the background.
- - The one unique part of your background is you must have a reason why you are boarding this plane. This reason should be very important to you. I will build off of this later.
- - You must select a few items for your LUGGAGE and your CARRY-ON
- - This is set in the current day- please keep that in mind.
- What you need to know to play the game:
- - We will be playing IN-CHARACTER. If you are not comfortable with roleplaying and speaking in character, please do not play.
- - Following the first note, please keep in mind to try and behave as your character would, you do not know more than your character does.
- - It's cool to have fun and joke around, but please do not be ridiculously disruptive ex: You are playing a chaotic evil character and ditch the group in the first session "because that's what your character would do"
- - You must be able to commit to the scheduled day we will be playing on- more information on that later. It is okay to miss a day every now and then but please do not constantly blow off the campaign.
- - This game will not be ending in the foreseeable future. This game will be a commitment and chunk out of your free-time.
- What to do when you are done making a character:
- - If you've gotten far enough to create a character you should at least have some understanding of the game. However I would strongly advice you go to the "useful-links" text channel in the discord and read up on the game mechanics. If you need any help with anything let me or another experienced player know.
- - If you would like to run through some RP'ing simulation or Combat simulation to get a feel for the game I am more than happy to do 1on1 sessions with you.
- We are with a lot of new players so I feel that 1st level is an appropriate start. We will progress through the first few levels quickly so you can get to the meat of your character in combat. I will try my best to teach you all the game and make the game enjoyable for everyone.
