  1. I do not understand why Stack Exchange (or anyone else) should care about any particular group of people more than it cares about all other people.
  2.
  3. **Injustice and unfriendliness are universal.** They are not worse when directed towards group X and less worse towards group Y.
  4.
  5. Your question suggests that SE should care more about the LGBTQ+ community. Does it cared less? I do not think so. SE/Mods treated everyone equally and handled all issues seriously.
  6.
  7. You demand making your group more priviledged and more important than others. This will not win you friends.
  8.
  9. > they are handling flags and removing bad stuff eventually (like, after several hours... which is way too long IMO).
  10.
  11. How would you like them to change handling flags? Do you expect SE to introduce new features like LGBT+ member has been insulted and should this raise an emergency alarm?
  12.
  13. But this would mean that SE would have to actively introduce and support discrimation towards the rest of us and the latest CoC changes have already started it.
  14.
  15. The be nice (to everyone) balance has been completely disturbend by it. The new more balanced balance (that you suggest) now reads as be nicer to LGBTQ+ than you are to any other person.
  16.
  17. > LGBTQ+ people are screaming about how unwelcomed and unsafe they (we!) currently feel on MSE.
  18.
  19. Are you really? I bet you experience no more unfriendly behaviour than any other member on MSE. Why do you think your case is worse the other cases?
  20.
  21. > We are writing posts and comments one after the other to defend yourselves. To defend your rights to be treated like humans being. To defend your right to exist.
  22.
  23. Since the updated CoC was released, things have been getting really hard on us
  24.
  25. You managed to alienate yourself by demanding special treatment like priority flags or pronoun fields in the profile.
  26.
  27. > Reading something that could be transphobic is really not good for my mental health and I definitely don't need that.
  28.
  29. The Internet is full of things that are not nice and might upset somebody. Learning to ignore that and take it less seriously might help your mental health.
  30.
  31. > The only reason I know you are still here is because my **flags are still being handled (after an unhealthy amount of hours, but still).**
  32.
  33. And here it is again where you demand priorioty flags.
  34.
  35. > do you (SE) all really care about the LGBTQ+ community? Are you planning on doing something about the current MSE fire? Or are you just hoping that silently deleting bad stuff will do the trick?
  36.
  37. I strongly hope they do not. I hope that SE cares equally about all members and that they want all of us to feel welcomed here.
  38.
  39. > Also, could we have a sign of life from you? And an acknowledgment that you are, at the very least, hearing our pain?
  40.
  41. I would like to believe that by our you mean the entire community and all its members but after reading your question I doubt this is the case.
