[Raven] - Timeline WIP

October, 2005
   After being with the Teen Titans for almost 2 years, the events of ‘The End’ transpire. Trigon utilizes Raven as a Portal and wreaks destruction upon not only the Planet, but the Universe itself. He is eventually defeated and the residual power of the confrontation restores life to the places Trigon had razed.

December, 2005
   In the following months after Trigon’s attack, ‘Brightman’s Law’ is beginning to gain traction. Raven, having been the catalyst for the train of events, decides to leave the Teen Titans in order to protect not only them, but everyone around her. She departs without a word and secretly moves from Jump City to New York City in late December.

February, 2006
   ‘Brightman’s Law’ is established globally and Superheroes are divided. Raven isolates herself from all forms of Media and enters a self-imposed Exile reclusive state for the next 7 years.

July, 2013
   Raven joins Tumblr. The jury is out on whether this was a good idea or not.

October, 2013
   Trigon begins to take hold again close to Raven’s 20th birthday. He is ultimately suppressed but this would act as the starting point for Trigon’s hold over her.

November, 2013
   Due to Trigon’s Influence, Raven befriends a ‘Lucifer’ and goes out of her way to meet them in person. This only strengthens Trigon’s grasp and leads to a schism between Raven and her new friends. In the wake of this, Raven begins to isolate once more.

April, 2014
   Raven experiments with some vigilante work but finds it difficult to rationalize helping people when the act itself is illegal and that she poses a larger threat to public safety than the criminals she intercepts.

August, 2014
   Raven begins to move about New York City and engage with the general populace. She is recognized now and then by civilians as the Ex-Titan. The few remaining Teen Titans attempt to contact Raven to check on her. She avoids contact.

September, 2014
   Observing an 18 hour Hostage Situation at one of the largest banks in the NYC area, Raven rose to the occasion and donned her hero suit to jump into the frey. While her attempt at heroicsm was successful, leading to a News Buzz, this made Raven a wanted Criminal for the damages done to the Bank during her rescue. This brought in a heavy Global Guardian Alliance military presence to New York City.

October, 2014
   Raven is arrested and held in a Government facility for ‘questioning’ due to suspicions of rebellion against Brightman’s Law. While she has no information to give, she is given threats to her safety and wellbeing for not giving the location of other Illegal Heroes.

November, 2014
   Apidae, otherwise known as her Hero Title ‘Bumblebee’, rescues Raven from her holding facility and harbors her until the coast is clear. Raven learns about the ‘True Hero’ movement. Through November until February of 2015, Raven is silent online.

February, 2015
   Fearing re-capture, Raven takes on her Given Name of Rachel Roth and moves apartments. She still lives in New York City, but now in a lower-income area for better blending in. She once again turns reclusive and only leaves her apartment to jaunt to other Universes.

June, 2015
   Due to her social anxieties and the mounting control Trigon is enacting through the Empath’s self-doubts, Raven refuses to attend a party held by arguably one of the closest people to her: Blaze. During this party, Blaze is murdered and Raven finds out only after the fact.


It is now, in Raven’s grief and self-blame, that Trigon’s control begins to manifest wildly.

August, 2015
   By this time, Raven’s physical appearance has begun to change. Her skin is red from Trigon’s Influence and horns begin to sprout from her forehead. Her personality begins to shift as he takes control, leading to a more Emotional and Mischievous Raven. Her powers become volatile but she is still largely cognizant of what is happening to her. She accepts her fate in her grief.

September, 2015
   Raven relinquishes more of herself to Trigon’s influence as it numbs out the reality of losing someone so close to her. Her mental state begins to deteriorate and she steadily loses herself to her Father’s power.

October, 2015
   Raven’s ability to communicate is impacted and the Earbug device she uses to transcribe thoughts into posts has trouble articulating her thoughts coherently. The last shreds of her slipping reservations go unnoticed, as does the inherent Danger of what’s happening to her. By her Birthday, Trigon has taken full control of Raven and is utilizing her as a puppet. Following this, Raven is not heard from again until February of 2016.

During this time, Trigon utilizes her to take control and destroy 7 Universes to gain more power.
Trigon’s hold on Raven is finalized.

February, 2016
   Raven is online briefly as she re-enters her home Universe in an attempt to size it up for destruction. Ultimately, Trigon decides not to bother with it at the moment and she once again leaves to enact Trigon’s Will. She is not seen from again until October, 2016.

During this Period, her body undergoes more changes. Tusks begin to grow from her lower jaw and her crown of horns grow thicker and more twisted. Her hair goes white and her skin becomes thick and leathery, taking on an appearance that more closely resembles Trigon.

46 more Universes fall to Trigon’s Power by her hand. Raven’s mind is completely gone and has long since receded into the confines of her Soul to protect what slivers of her remain.

October, 2016

   Trigon emerges into the native Universe of one Saro Harenhart in his conquest. His destruction begins but is stopped before it can grow into cataclysm by the Fleetfire and Shuck. During a battle between The Lord of Madness and The King Monohound, Saro and the puppet of Raven’s body fight amongst themselves for the fate of Saro’s Universe.

During the climax of the battle, Saro goes Supernova and burns Trigon’s presence from her Universe, and from Raven herself. Trigon flees with what little of his power he has left and Raven is left in a comatose state.

   The fragments of Raven’s Mind attempt to realign themselves by forcing her to re-experience key events that formed her psyche just before Trigon took hold. She is forced to face the trials that lead her to Trigon without succumbing once more to them, and with the help of Saro's support finds her way back to being Herself once more. Raven is able to regain consciousness, but her body is badly damaged.

Without Trigon’s power healing her form Raven is afflicted by a ‘sleeping sickness’ that forces her to slip in and out of a near comatose state for extended periods of time. This is a self-preservation method by her body, which is used to the constant flow of Magic and Power from the Demon King and is attempting to force her to rest until it regenerates; a futile act due to the cleansing of Raven's Spirit by Saro.

November, 2016
   Raven continues to recover but is unable to stay awake for more than 20 minutes or so every few weeks. Her body is healing and sustaining itself, but she is unable to rouse from her sleeping sickness. She no longer possesses any of her powers of Empathy or Shadow Manipulation.

December, 2016
   The Earbug device begins to cause physical harm to Raven due to her weakened state. It comes to light that it had been injuring her the entire time but her Demonic Energy had been counterbalancing it. With her connection to the internet severed, Rae’s blog would once again go quiet.

One New Years Eve, celebrated with Saro, the pair would start their shaky steps forward into a relationship.

Raven and Saro would grow closer over the coming months. She would not be online again until October 2017, when Saro would gift the Empath a cellphone for her Birthday. Even with her new device, Raven would still be largely inactive due to her sleeping sickness.

2017 - 2018
   Raven’s Sleeping Sickness prevents her from doing much of anything aside from spending time recovering in Saro’s Household. She is looked over by a few of Saro’s acquaintances but no cure is found. During this time, Raven would begin attempting to do non-soulbind magic to some relief of her sleeping sickness, but would still find herself unable to shake the ailment.

Bandas, Saro’s Guardian, becomes a prominent ‘father’ figure in Raven’s life due to her closeness with his daughter.

The weakness of her body becomes its worst and the Empath is frail due to her inactivity and sporadic hibernation. Saro would care for her during this period of sickness.

December, 2018
   Raven is seen online briefly but is just as quickly gone.

On New Years Eve, 2018, Saro Proposes. Raven says yes.

February, 2019

   With the assistance of Shuck, Raven returns to her Native Universe to gather some of her things. While she moves through her apartment and packs up her belongings to bring back home to Saro’s Universe, a strange Happening occurs.

From this moment, Raven begins a miraculous recovery. Her sleeping sickness leaves her and slowly, her powers begin to return.

Currently, she is busy unpacking her things to make herself at home in her new Universe with her Fiancee, Saro Harenhart.
