Dream 8/25/2020

Today’s dream was a reoccurring one. Basically bc replaced their transit systems with a bunch of waterslides and water rides that resemble skytrains. Why? Idk, to make transportation more fun and less hot? Anyway last time I dreamed about this months ago (pre-corona so this dream also assumes corona doesn’t exist), I had to take a slide and a ride to get home from work. This time I had to take 2 rides and a slide to get to a college class which for some reason started at 8pm (I do not have a class that starts this late). I left an hour before the class started so I would hopefully arrive 15 minutes early.

Spoilers, I left late for some reason cuz my sister was dumv. The first ride was just a water ride that resembles a sky train. The line was really long so I was already doing bad on time. I also had to make sure none of my bags got wet. When i made it off of the first ride, I found Quil waiting in line for the second ride. Quil was actually smart and his class didn’t start until 8:30 so he had a lot of time to get to get there, I didn’t. The second ride was a was a water rollercoaster that had 2 lines that led to a left and right side coaster. I took the left line since it was shorter and Quil was already waiting in the right line. All of a sudden when I made it to the front of the left line, the ride was out of order. If I waited in the right line I would be late so I came up with some sick lie where I could take one of the handicap spots. Which for some reason was like one of those spinning chairs you see at school playgrounds that looks like an oversized toilet plunger. But I was now on track to make it too class just on time, AND I was on the same ride with Quil.

After we both got off the second ride, we were almost all the way there. However we had ran into an obstacle, for whatever reason the trail that led to the final slide had been completely transformed into a waterpark obstacle course that looked like it had been completely pulled from Fall Guys. The course was like a combination between Fruit Chute and Slime Climb. So me and Quil squadded up to get past this course in hopefully a timely matter. The course was actually really easy but going fast AND making sure we didn’t get our bags/laptops damaged in any way was super difficult. Quil frickin nailed a sequence break that would have saved us like 2 minutes but I had spent 3 minutes trying and failing the sequence break, so I eventually had to go around the intended way and lost 5 minutes. Finally we were able to finish the course and we were going up to the last slide. Quil was able to get like 5 minutes of rest while waiting for me while my legs were screaming in pain. To take the last slide I needed to walk up an insane amount of stairs. When I was halfway up I realized that I was going to be 10 minutes late for class. I wasn’t ready for the embarrassment when I walked in 10 minutes late and all wet so I instead woke up.
