  3. MT vs Ashling
  4.
  5. * MT isn't human nor is she biological, so she can't be put to sleep as she doesn't need it
  6.
  7. * The sheeps are weak and irrelevant
  8.
  9. * Ashling would save his strongest attack for last
  10.
  11. * He also monologues before activating it, leaving him open for MT to attack him
  12.
  13. * Ashling's other feats are an OOT durability feat and a vague FTE dodge
  14.
  15. * MT has better physicals
  16.
  17. * MT and Ashling most likely will meet at the ranged spawn point where MT will beat up Ashling
  18.
  19. Connor vs Sips
  20.
  21. * Sips is strong
  22.
  23. * Sips won't realize that the knocking out Connor is his win con and is just going to try and kill Connor over and over
  24.
  25. * Wild magic is unquantifiable and Sips' other magic kills Connor
  26.
  27. * Sips has a limited amount of spells he can cast before resting and will eventually be forced to engage in melee
  28.
  29. * Sips is dumb and Connor outskills him
  30.
  31. * Connor immediately fights after revival
  32.
  33. * Connor is strong too
  34.
  35. * Connor wins through a battle of attrition and will eventually kill Sips after himself dying multiple times
  36.
  37. Elodie vs Max
  38.
  39. * Elodie has no defined method of combat
  40.
  41. * Most of her feats don't matter
  42.
  43. * Elodie's movement speed feats are too vague to be usable
  44.
  45. * Elodie's reflexes are either unquantifiable or OOT
  46.
  47. * Max has decent speed
  48.
  49. * Elodie has no durability feats
  50.
  51. * Max has actual durability feats
  52.
  53. * Elodie has no weapons stipped and she would lose in a fist fight to Max
  54.
  55. * A lot of Elodie's magic won't be useful against Max
  56.
  57. * Her useful magic attacks are OOT
  58.
  59. * Elodie doesn't know what a gun is and wouldn't react to it like a weapon
  60.
  61. * Max shoots her

  67. MT vs Ashling
  68.
  69. * Ashling doesn't need to put his opponent to sleep to use Nightmare Fuel
  70.
  71. * Ashling is an efficient fighter and will turn to Professor Beefton if push comes to shove
  72.
  73. * The sheep are durable and there's plenty of them, they at least serve as a useful distraction
  74.
  75. Connor vs Sips
  76.
  77. * Sips isn't dumb, the stat sheet used for that claim is for a regular monkey
  78.
  79. * Sips is a high level sorcerer and capable of conversation, which automatically contradicts him having only a level 5 in INT
  80.
  81. * Sips won't run out of spells any time soon
  82.
  83. * Not all of Sips' spells kill people and he has good control over their output
  84.
  85. * Sips would realize Connor can't die after a few deaths and would opt to restrain him instead or incapacitate him, such as through choking as he's been seen doing
  86.
  87. Elodie vs Max
  88.
  89. * Living in a desert isn't comparable to a beam of light heading towards your eyes
  90.
  91. * "High speed" is better than nothing and magic can still catch Max off guard since he doesn't know what it is
  92.
  93. * Living in a desert and being burned isn't comparable
  94.
  95. * The disintegration attack isn't lightspeed and there's nothing to suggest it is
  96.
  97. * The discontent wave is magic and Max has no resistance to facing an attack like that
  98.
  99. * Elodie's illusions are actively trying to kill him unlike his hallucinations
  100.
  101. * A flashbang would fuck up Max's vision and balance
  102.
  103. * Elodie can turn Max's dog against him or force it to flee
  104.
  105. * Max probably wouldn't shoot a kid
  106.
  107. * Similar to how Elodie doesn't know what a gun is, Max doesn't know what magic is
  108.
  109. * Elodie can conceal herself with magic, distract with illusions, and finish Max off
  110.

  115. MT vs Ashling
  116.
  117. * Nightmare Fuel still requires the opponent to be groggy or at least exhausted and MT can't get tired
  118.
  119. * Even if Nightmare Fuel works on MT, none of it would be relevant as they're conceptual fears or a fear she's gotten over already
  120.
  121. * While Ashling isn't an idiot, he will only resort to Dr. Beefton after realizing his other powers don't work and at that point it'll be too late
  122.
  123. * The sheep won't bother MT
  124.
  125. Sips vs Connor
  126.
  127. * While Sips might not be an idiot, he's never shown any advanced strategic intelligence
  128.
  129. * Connor will get used to Sips' many spells after a few deaths and know what to expect
  130.
  131. * Sips' spells either kill Connor or they're ineffective due to DnD mechanics
  132.
  133. * Connor will eventually kill Sips
  134.

  139. MT vs Ashling
  140.
  141. * Mera's nightmare wasn't manifested because it was already being manifested, not because it's a conceptual fear
  142.
  143. * Dr. Beefton will be used after Ashling realizes his powers aren't effective
  144.
  145. * The transformation doesn't take that long and involves him getting knocked out, which may lead to MT thinking he's already defeated, leaving her vulnerable
  146.
  147. Sips vs Connor
  148.
  149. * Sips declares non lethal lmao
  150.
  151. * He can also cast sleep and it cannot fail considering Connor only has 4 hp
  152.

  155. Judgements
  156.
  157. MT vs Ashling
  158.
  159. Both sides offer strong arguments and counters to each other for this matchup. Elick has a very good start by establishing that Ashling's Nightmare Fuel is ineffective against MT and he has no real way of hurting her, whereas she can definitely hurt him. Ashling's only win con is thus Dr. Beefton.
  160.
  161. Jacky does a nice job in defending Ashling's intelligence and also brings up Nightmare Fuel actually not needing the victim to be asleep for it to work. However, Elick's debunk of Nightmare Fuel convinces me that it wouldn't affect MT. While Jacky counters why it didn't work on Mera, Elick's other arguments still stand as not only is she immune to Nightmare Fuel but her fears wouldn't be properly manifested by it in the first place.
  162.
  163. Elick shuts down the usefulness of the sheeps pretty hard. He establishes they're irrelevant as a distraction and a source of damage and would just be easily swatted away. Jacky puts in good work in arguing how they might be good distractions, but ultimately MT's durability and strength allows her easily ignore it.
  164.
  165. This match hinges on wheter Ashling would use Dr. Beefton or not. I think Jacky has me convinced that he'll turn to it once his other options have been exhausted, which they will since Nightmare Fuel and the sheeps won't make an impact. However, he does leave himself open during his monologuing which MT would take advantage to beat him down. MT wins.
  166.
  167. Sips vs Connor
  168.
  169. There was a lot of interesting arguments made in this round and good back and forths between both debaters. Both sides are in agreement that Sips is capable of easily killing Connor, but Jacky does a great job in countering nearly every claim Elick makes. Jacky effectively rebuts the idea that Sips is dumb. The notion that Sips runs out of spells also gets shut down. Jacky also proves that Sips would eventually be able to actually defeat Connor through immobilization or incapacitation such as through choking, which is in-character for Sips to do whether through a spell or physically.
  170.
  171. Elick's final DnD mechanics argument is stupid and amazing at the same time, but Jacky basically has the perfect counter for it with their own DnD mechanics argument. Sips just declares non lethal or can cast sleep and Connor is effectively incapacitated. Sips wins.
  172.
  173. Elodie vs Max
  174.
  175. This match is harder to judge compared to the others as both debaters only made a single response for this matchup and left many arguments uncontested and ignored. Elick shows that Elodie's speed is vague and she lacks any notable movement speed feats. However, Elick fails to provide any movement speed feats for Max and only discusses his reflexes. Max clearly has the better physicals than Elodie and would win a fist fight, but would get one shot by her magic. A lot of Elick's arguments against Elodie's magic don't make sense like Jacky points out as living in a desert wouldn't make you fireproof or immune to being blinded.
  176.
  177. Jacky brings up the good point that although Elodie doesn't know what a gun is, Max doesn't know what magic is. As mentioned prior, Jacky establishes that magic spells like the incineration ray or flashbang will be effective on Max. If both opponents have their ranged pickups, I'm convinced that Elodie wins. Except neither side provides any movement speed feats for their character. However, Max is shown to be the overall quicker fighter reflex wise. If both fighters were to meet, Max would probably be able to make the first move in close combat, and his physicals have been established as much better than hers. Max wins.
  178.
  179. Elick wins 2-1.
