<i>It's a miracle.</i><br>
Today our prayers were finally answered. From the heavens above an angel came. And while his wings are as dark as the night his kindness is brighter than any I have ever seen. The crops that had been dying for nearly a decade were restored to their former glory. Our village will eat again. He asked from us nothing more than for our three strongest help him in his research. He even guaranteed that we would grow even stronger from it; I'm not one to take risks but an angel wouldn't lie to us like that.<br>
I'm really glad Azrael came and saved us.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Lion - 8th Moon - 6th day</b></font><br>
It has been twelve days since my work with mister Azrael has begun. So far nothing too strange has happened. A few of us were injected with a product and I'm proud to say I was the only one who didn't pass out when that happened. Ever since then we've all been more sensitive to light. My I can feel small changes in temperature, my sense of smell has been multiplied and I can hear discussions happening three rooms over. I was worried and spoke to mister Azrael about how dull food tastes lately, but he's reassured me that it was normal, that my senses need to adjust. I'm really glad Azrael came and gave us this opportunity.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Lion - 11th Moon - 9th day</b></font><br>
I've heard someone from another town is coming over to help us in this research. Apoproyia is where they found him, if I recall correctly. I find it odd that after three months mister Azrael still feels like he needs more people to help him, but I suppose he's saving this one. The man looked... weak. Like he hadn't slept in his life, ever. I'm not sure how old he is but he dresses like my great-great-great-grandfather used to. Maybe he was homeless and had nothing else to wear. Anyhow, I've heard him speaking to mister Azrael about a... <b>different</b> approach to the matter. I don't know what it means.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Eagle - 6th Moon - 17th day</b></font><br>
I've been feeling more and more hungry lately. It has been a year and my sense of taste still hasn't returned. I'm more tired, too. It's as if I can't even sleep properly. All of us have been feeling unwell - well... aside from <i>Cain</i>. But he's always special. Always going on about how he'll accomplish his destiny and take revenge on those who wronged him. I'm sure I've heard him say bad things about angels, but... it can't be, right?<br>
Mister Azrael has done nothing but help us so far.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Eagle - 8th Moon - 11th day</b></font><br>
I don't know what to do. I don't know where to go. What- What can I do? I woke up to screams this morning. My wife found out daughter laying down on the ground. The sheets of her bed were ripped and she was covered in marks, scratches, and bites. I could see the fear in her eyes. I could feel there was a struggle. How did it happen? And most importantly: How was there not even a drop of blood left on the floor or in her body? This... I need to speak to mister Azrael, he'll know what to do.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Eagle - 8th Moon - 12th day</b></font><br>
He has a solution. He's going to give me something to drink that should further enhance my senses. It will let me follow the trail of whoever did this to my daughter. The trail of the murderer who'll pay for hurting my family. He said it may taste weird.<br><br>

<font color=#A10909><b>Year of the Eagle - 8th Moon - 13th day</b></font><br>
I think I can hear him thinking. I think I can hear Cain's ideas. He believes he can return to his home and finish business that was left unfinished. My senses are more alert than ever before, but I still can't take on Cain in battle. He's... too strong. Far, far too strong for me. I've begun hunting the tracks of my daughter's murderer but every time I think I've got something I always end up right back in my house. Near my bed. Were they thinking about taking my wife, too? Those bastards.<br>
I'll make them pay.<br><br>

All I can think of is the taste of her blood. How can I call myself a father when the greatest, most enjoyable moment in my life was to see the life drain from her face. To taste her blood. She was exquisite, and I?<br>
