A vigilante homeless man pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city's crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how - with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail.

This is a truly disgusting film. It contains some of the most brutal violence I have ever seen. The villains are merciless and very cruel. The main protagonist seems to be the only sane character in the film and even he&#39;s a little screwy. Do not expect any Oscar bait performances because this is truly a B movie. Still, the film really makes you laugh sometimes with all the absurd dialogue and the senseless violence.If you are a fan of Trailer Park Boys than you may just want to see this film on the sole purpose of Rob Wells ( Ricky ) that&#39;s fine because he has a great bit part in here. If you are as twisted as you would have to be to attend this picture then you will not be disappointed. Be forewarned this film is not for the squeamish.<br/><br/>8/10
Hobo with a Shotgun is a Grindhouse movie without any talent or humor; I know it&#39;s supposed to be bloody and gore, but what make the grindhouse movies so much fun to watch is the non stop action with good cheesy lines, nice cartoonish characters and a simple but enjoyable plot... Here we have no plot at all, bad taste violence just for the sake of it, actors miscast like the two morons that try-so-hard-but-fail-miserably to be the bad boys of an incoherent villain like The Drake... Rutger Hauer is a great actor and despite all the mess he does his part really well; the rest is so badly done and the script is so moronic and dull that after the first 30 minutes I started to watch my clock to see how much time should I resist such a stupidity...and to add more wrong: why all that sick violence against children? the school bus in flames, the carbonized kid brought to the TV show, the child molester dressed as Santa, a gun pointed at a baby&#39;s head, a child kidnapped, come on! is so disgusting and gratuitous, what&#39;s the point? I love b movies and specially the grindhouse type, but HWAS completely missed the point: I gave it a 3 just for Rutger, the rest is really bad ...
There's something appealing about the movie's unpretentious carnival of carnage, although I could have done without the flamethrower assault on a school bus to raise the stakes.
